    Great video. Loved when you put camera on net, especially for fish number 24.

    Great to see another upload from you bud. Always enjoy watching your videos. I haven't uploaded anything forever. Don't know if I should anyways. Just set up my tree stand yesterday for the upcoming archery hunts. Just about fall already. We still need to meet up for some ice fishing that is long over due. Fish on brother.

      Thanks Tyler, I appreciate it! Of course you need to upload some vids, get on it man. Hopefully the fall hunts treat you well, it will be here before we know it. I agree, we need to get out on the ice this winter. When things start freezing up, I'll hit you up and hopefully we can put something on the calendar.

    Nice round up. I went down a few days ago and I think its a bit early still. Water temp was about 45 to 47. Still had some Ice on the lake. I did not even get a knock down so going to wait till May and then see how it is.

      Ha ha, well played! They are delicious. If you ever get a wild hair and want to come out west, let me know. The best time to get after some Salmon is late June/early July. Thanks for watching Dave!

    Great video. I just subscribed. Would you explain a bit more on your use of the tripsey diver, please? It looks much easier than other setups I've seen with weight balls on a swivel and dropper....And, do you have one rod on a downrigger, and the other with the diver? How far back, and how deep were you with each rod? Do you use any corn or bait at all? I saw you gooping on something at the beginning of the video. Thanks!

    Awesome video! I'm thinking about hitting Anderson this Saturday to hunt kokanee for my first time. I have a few divers and a few dodgers with some double whammies. Looks like that's about what worked for you. Do you think that you may have boated those few that got away if you had rubber snubbers also? Anyway, you have a new subscriber. Thank you!

    • @the-mountainlife
      @the-mountainlife  7 років тому +1

      Thanks Kelly, I appreciate it. That's exciting that you are getting into Kokanee fishing. As they prepare to spawn, fishing for them can slow down. The best time of year for me has traditionally been from about the second week in June to about the second week in July. You can still get into them now though. I like to check on Kokaneefishingforum.com to get the most up to date info about what the fish are doing. I'm sure that a rubber snubber would have helped my landing percentage, so I would recommend putting one on. Thanks for subscribing, hopefully you can learn a few things along the way!

    Nice vid! Glad you're back! Have any idea why there's such a high limit? In Sweden the highest limit I've heard of is like 5!

    • @the-mountainlife
      @the-mountainlife  7 років тому

      Thanks emilolsson91, it's good to be back! When I first heard about this place and it's limit on Salmon, I knew I had to try and fish it, and I'm very glad I did. I guess the lake supports a large number of fish and can sustain a high limit. I'm going to try and get back there in the next few weeks. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!

      THE MOUNTAINLIFE the reservoir used to be overpopulated with fish and had many fish that were around 10 inches. They limit how many can spawn now but the limit has not changed.

    Awesome video. Two questions:
    How deep were you fishing?
    How fast were you trolling?

    • @the-mountainlife
      @the-mountainlife  7 років тому +1

      Thanks TheAtomicMeGusta, I want to say that was fishing about 25-30 ft down. As far as speed goes, I don't have any way to check speed on my boat, sorry. Thanks for watching!

    Is that a rock in your boat? Im guessing to balance the weight of the motor.

    Ty, is the rock in the bow to help keep the wind from blowing you around?

    • @the-mountainlife
      @the-mountainlife  6 років тому

      Ha ha, yes actually. I thought that nobody would notice that, but if the wind kicks up, or you are cruising along at full speed it helps keep the bow down.

      THE MOUNTAINLIFE, good to know. I've been own all over Strawberry in mine. Think I'll try that. Ever used a trolling sock? I think that's what they're called.

    • @the-mountainlife
      @the-mountainlife  6 років тому +1

      I know what you're talking about, but have never used one. I have heard of guys that say using a five gallon bucket does the trick also, but again, have never acutally tried it.

    • @SewerRatID
      @SewerRatID 6 років тому +1

      I pull buckets all the time with my boat. I drag one on each side tied short enough so they drag alongside instead of behind. Cuts my speed less than half. 16' aluminum with a 60 Mercury four stroke.
