I didn't know you were in Canada. Me too. It's good to know about the shipping/return policies for us. Nice haul. I found a gorgeous, voluminous khaki trench coat in a thrift shop, and not even an upscale thrift shop. I was thrilled. Love it.
Between the 2 khakis, i agree the Burberry is The One. I buy a lot of my clothes from TRR and 2ndhand in general. Seeing the Dior runway takes me back when I was heavy into the Hedi Slimane/DH era. Ive since sold all of it off except for one sleeveless coat/long vest. His Dior Homme era was quite the time. Oddly enough no interest in his time at Celine or 2nd time at ySL.
Also stocking up on winter items on TRR. I bought several beautiful Piazza Sempione 100% wool pants ( brand no longer accepted for consignment) for less than $20 each, in fantastic condition, straight leg with a great fit (I had them slightly slight tailored). Also some Jenni Kayne & Warren White cashmere and, finally, a short gabardine/trench coat. Thank you for the tip on Burberry's, I wasn't aware.Would also love to hear your opinion on the different Celine fragrances; I tend to lean toward feminine fragrances and found myself absolutely in love with more gender neutral ones recently, such as Cologne Francaise.
I would also like to get your take on the fragrances - even if you're not a perfume expert, just whatever thoughts you can provide (more masculine, more feminine, woodsy, fruity, etc.). I am a huge fan of more gender neutral scents.
Ohh congrats on your scores! So many gems on the preloved. I just uploaded a review. I would say most of these fragrances are gender neutral, but there is a smooth powdery-iris undertone that is so nice to me. Adore Cologne Francaise❤️❤️❤️
I scored the following men's trench coats in the last few months at my local vintage shop: Dior trench/excellent condition/ missing belt/$75 US Givenchy trench/excellent condition/35 US Burberry Trench/Excellent condition/$60 US I also get men's italian made suits & blazers at my local vintage store for $8.00/$12.00 US... Men's shoes are also a great find! I'm a US women's 8.5/9 and get men's 6/6.5 shoes! They fit better than a woman's shoe (wider at the toe box) and are cheaper because of the size! The men's section is where you can score big!

preloved is def the way to go for coats. i have a vintage calvin klein merino coat, from the late 90s or early 2000s, i bought for around 100 usd on poshmark and while it's not anything special in itself, just plain black... i know that an equivalent quality one (especially 100% merino and ankle length) would be retailing for 10x times as much new now. it was missing a button tho so i just ended up replacing all of them myself.. would probably look better if i had a professional do it again haha but it'd be worth the small extra cost.

I think you did really well if you only paid 26 for the one jacket and otherwise love what you got. I picked up a 40$ oversized suede jacket that drapes really well that i absolutely love from the RR recently and a fendi transparent shirt dress that I got for an art opening coming up. I almost cant shop anywhere else because the deals are so good on there. ❤

The Celine perfume bottles are just so beautiful and look like the perfect size! ❤ Love the idea of this set. I'm with you, always keeping one eye towards coats even with nice weather as that is when you get the deals. You are making the preloved market sound more and more appealing to me. Both coats are great finds! I purchased a new Burberry trench (in black) around about 2010 and I wore it a lot. The most annoying thing happened, though. I once wore an off-white knit sweater underneath it and the fibers got almost woven into the fabric of the trench in the front. It sounds bizarre, but I could never get all of them out, and it drove me insane. Besides that, some of the black coating on the buttons eventually came off 😕so I sold it on The Real Real.
Ohh good to know about the black Burberry trenches!! Honestly, preloved is fantastic but also be cautious if you're just starting preloved. Yes preloved market, sometimes can be very complicated, and could be very costly mistakes. That trench you will wear alllll the time. I got mine vintage Burberry men's lined - long to the floor on poshmark a few years ago for $38 ! You look fantastic in all those coats. Men's coats are just so well made.
The Dior men's coat is a keeper. It looks really good on you, better than on the male model, more of a modern style. The other two coats? You already have something very similar.

I couldn’t agree more… whereas I love mid-tier brands… my thought process is always; why not buy a pre-loved item for less when (not all of the time so certainly factoring in exceptions) the quality will most likely be better from a designer luxury house 🙈 So many creators are pushing those mid-tier brands which we love, but then when you fabric in the very minimal price you could get back if you were to re-sell that item, it doesn’t seem worth it to me 🙈🙈🙈
Yes while I love some of the styles, I find unless on sale, they can be more expensive than preloved/vintage. And yes you are so right the resale is so much better🙌 And of course quality and sustainable, so many wins preloved❤️❤️❤️

I think it has to do with the shoulders and how it gives more of a babydoll silhouette. I'll see if I can play with styling it!!

I bought mine vintage for £137 on eBay and paid £40 to get it special dry cleaned - I prefer the vintage silhouette
