Nice video Kris! Honest fair review. I own the e-2008 and after a few months of driving your positives and negatives(far outweighed by the positives) about the car are the same. All the best
I've recently bought Peugeot 208e. I thought that there was something wrong with my battery, because range was nowhere near what other reviewers were reporting. You are the first one that actually stated REAL range of those cars.
@@marconrustNL Sure, the title may be a little "click baity", but look at the other "Don't buy" videos of Kris. The both have more than 50k views!! So as long as it gets him views, I think its good.
As you say an additional 15-20Kwh of battery and those software tweaks and Peugeot would have a major winner there - I get the impression the ICE department of these companies are still holding back the EV production dept. on spec and price.
I agree 50 Kwh is at the border of the range they need to convince people to get EV's. Batteries are still pretty expensive and the psa group have gone for just produsing one batterypack with a balance between capasity, cost and weight/efficency. Apperently it will be until 2024-2025 until EV's will cost the same or less as their ICE equivalent.
Good review!👍 Like the base model "Active" best..have normal dials instead of 3D cluster. Think the car get even more quiet on road with 16 inch tyres to.👍
Superb video Kris !! I would take the ID.3 over the e-2008. I don't care about interior. I prefer to see SoC, have 58 kWh, more power, best charging curve, and efficiency. But I must say, the exterior design of e-2008 is awesome !! Greetings from Barcelona :=)
The lip under the screen is where you hold your hand stable when driving! Try that on a ID3 and it will make you cry with the unintentional button presses, what were they thinking (sinking)!? 🤣
I've said this many times before. It's not easy to add 10 or 15kwh capacity. Every OEM is scrambling for batteries unless they have long-term deals like VW. PSA/Stellantis/whatever you want to called may have a bigger battery in one of their premium cars they'll launch this or in the next two years
I got the car, picked up a demo used GT top spec with sun roof with 2 set of tires (summer+winter) for 355k kr. . Only thing it didnt have was alarm and the front window heater. The window heater I actually regret not getting but cant have it all I guess. Just have to dig out the ice/snow some mornings. Over all a good car, although a bit boring to drive comming from the bmw I3. Anyways with the introduction of the ID4 I actually start to think that I should maybe have waited for that. A Bit bigger family car for more or less the same money(50 vs 50 kw battery I mean) with tow hitch and bigger storeage. The main advantage of the peugot is FWD if you have to use chains I guess.
All in all, the range is not the biggest con, I mean, that’s something I knew when bought it... car is great, the real pain in the ass is its app and its lack of conectivity... that’s something any elec car cant let u down.. good conectivity and information is a must for an e car and that’s the downside of this car, which I love on the other hand
I had a DS3 E-tense for 2 weeks. Same drivetrain as the E-2008. It is the silliest, most useless car I ever owned. It managed no more than 200 km range, lot's of bugs in the software, even translation errors in the menues. A 2nd hand first gen Kia Soul EV would do the same job for most people.
Good value - are you kidding? Prices start at £33,600 in the UK - petrol versions start at £19,500 - you'll never recoup that price difference no matter how many miles you drive. A waste of money.
At what point did I say anything about it being good value in the UK? I specifically showed the Norwegian configuration and Norwegian prices and that difference will be recouped in fuel and tolls road alone. Sorry but the world is much bigger than the UK, many countries have high taxes on petrol and diesel cars making EV a good or even a cheaper choice. The world does revolve around you Jim 🙈
@@KrisRifa Kris - Of course you made no reference to UK prices - no reason why you should - I listened to your review because I was interested in your assessment - but I'm perfectly entitled to refer to UK prices - and why those prices make the car an expensive choice in the UK - it was not intended in any way as some kind of insult to you. Nor do I think that the world revolves around me, or that the UK is the centre of the world - I'm puzzled, and not a little concerned, as to why you have made these inferences. Best wishes.

It s a pretty cool car, my curiosity is : way in Romania the battery is 50kw and in Norway from what you are saying is only 45kw?
It's 50 Kwh brutto but 45 net capasity means usable capasity after the top and bottom buffer to protect the battery.
