It's youth rating, game importance, the FA Financial Power (to get dual nationals), Club's youth facilities and youth coaching within the country and also population, population just means there's a much bigger pool of people.
Actually, you're wrong. Evidence based FM did a video on that. Game importance, FA fincancial power and the population have zero impact on the quality of youth intake.
I ran a similar test in my own time a few years back on FM 2021(I gave every country a random youth rating using a random number generator) and the results were roughly the same. I also ran one where I made the game importance, level of development, FA investment, etc. all maxed for every country and what ended up happening is that many of the traditional international powerhouses of the game would be filled with mostly dual nationality players who generated at the big clubs. Most notably i remember seeing France being loaded with mostly Vietnamese dual nationals and Denmark had a lot of Faroese dual nationals. I also think there might be a cap on how many world class players are allowed to be in the game at a time since the spread of high potential young players was still about the same despite the sudden increase of countries that could theoretically produce world class players regularly. There was an absolutely incredible world cup final between Chile and Scotland though so that was fun. I must disclose that there is a big caveat being I ran this second test only once and so there is only a sample size of one so it's certainly nothing definitive.
I got really lucky this year I guess, had an Andorran wonder kid at West Ham and he ended being a club legend, winning 4 champions leagues. Francisco Llera, remember the name 😂
For real, I'm positive that Andorran players might have Spanish as 2nd nationality (and probably their preferred nationality due to country reputation)
Next investigation should be about setting game importance to max level for most populated countries like India, China, etc that are not football nations. I think that change of this attribute wiil have bigger effort than max youth rating of Andorra.
You'll get a very different result if you add in a nation's leagues during your save. As an experiment, I added Norway as a playable nation, 5 years into a save & put Norway's Youth Rating up to 200. The initial intake produced 253 15/16 year old newgens with a PA of 150 or above, including 10 with PA above 180. I've not simulated umpteen years into the future, but I'm fairly confident that Norway will be pretty awesome at international level in a few years.
national teams impact youth dynamic ratings. but only base nations of fm games. it wont work on a malta or andorra as they are not base game. i know so as i have save files of bulgaria china and belarus in one save becoming rank 1 2 and 3 in the game and there leagues are not opened but they did will on the international scene
I am using a super asymetric tactic just now to confuse the bajeezuz out of the opposition. Its crazy how it works so good. They cant deal with it. 3 bpd one wb on support on the left in the more advanced position. DW on the right. Regista on the right side of midfield cm on att on the left side of midfield ss offset to the right AF in the centre and F9 off set to the left. Balanced mentality. Narrow width, shorter passing, higher tempo, focus down left right. Counter counter press distribute quickly roll out. High press higher def line prevent short and press much more often. If anyone is struggling do this. It over performs with any team.
Was there anything to do with second nationalities affecting the lack of high potential abilities? (I.e England and France national teams irl being jam packed of people who switched nationalities)
1:25 - I wouldn't be so sure. Miles said before the release of FM 24 that they will be adding "late bloomers" to the game - players who reach their PA later than most. So seeing 25y old player developing like crazy can be possible.
Not really as it comes down to the popularity of football like for example India has loads of people but there is very little interest in football so kids don’t get into it
@@LM.211 so you’re saying that having a population of 13 million (Bolivia) is of no benefit compared to 80,000 in Andorra. Football is one of the most popular sports in Bolivia.
@@jamiepike6909 What you say makes sense... IRL. In FM, Population means jacksh*t. I think there is even a youtube video sort-of showcasing that, I think it was a video "evidence based FM" did on youth intakes if I am not mistaken.
Did you run the World Cup, Euros. etc on full detail? If not, some of the matches may have been quick simmed with reputation then taking a more important role than the actual ability of the teams/
Is there a playlist or channel which is good for learning FM? I'm not a complete noob. But I've never really played it long enough in the modern era to know how to be successful
Try this experiment pick a stupid formation from fmscout and train and play that way for season them do the same formation again but train how the game thinks there should trained and check the difference
Sorry, but i have the feeling that i'm watching the same video for 3-4 years in a row. I would prefer to watch more videos like your save with Saint Etienne or the pentagon challenge...

2:34 i know i did not just see Vitor Roque at Real Madrid💀 this guy is pulling up a figo
Could’ve checked some of the second nationalities just to see if the top nations poached some players

Haven't even watched it yet but we know it's going to be a banger. Loving the videos Tom!
What a surprise that it's exactly the same as in FM23.

It's still a myth, dont think there are any proof about it
Media description is 1 thing, I saw many player labeled late bloomers but they dont develop at all
I look the other way purely so I can have the most obscure wonderkids at my club. Give me a wonderkid from Equatorial Guinea over England any day.
Can you show us one Gibraltar, Malta and Andorra being actually insane?
It feels like no matter what you do they will not be actually top nations
tomfm: i flipped countries' youth ratings
countries with exactly 100 youth rating: well good luck i guess
Population should have a massive say in things.

@@adrian225 thank you for the response, that’s something missing in the coding then.
love getting home on a friday after a long week at work and seeing a TomFM vid to chill to 🖤
You Should also move all of the biggest Brazilian clubs youth facilities to the ones in Andorra and/or Bolivia and see how that affects the game.

Would be interesting to see of any players had dual nationality or changed nation.

Hey tom! enjoyed the video. How were you able to sort players in the database by current and potential abiliyt?
*cited Serbia*
Serbia: *just at the bottom of the youth rating list he is posting*
Can these changes be made in the normal editor or is it the in game editor?

do a video on southport please xx
Congrats on getting 150k!!🎉
Hey Tom, I have a video idea: Could you try to turn the USA into a dominant soccer country?
How do u get it to show the ca and pa?
I think the Game Importance is more influential than Youth Rating by the look of things
evidence based FM did a video on this. It actually has zero impact on anything.
DId you check the dual nationals?
Uruguay World Champion 2050 in Brazil... again? I do not need anything else
Next time also give all andorran clubs perfect facilities and see what happens.
How do u get so much leagues?
ICORY COAST MENTIONED 🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮
The shameless plug was just *mwah* Chefs Kiss
argentina, brazil + serbia!?
Why were Serbia listed they haven’t gotten that far in the last euros or world cups?
Day 2 of asking for kaizer chiefs rebuild ❤
Thank you
Can Youth rating increase in game?

Why Serbia lol?
