      The Remans weren't forced to populate certain continents the Remans themselves selected those continents themselves willingly due to the fact of there nature of dark places and hard sight for there eyes not adapted to the light. Later generation moved from there to much brighter area in some books as they did adapt to that. Just play the game and the video that is available when you get Mol'Rihan unlocked at the transporter area out side the embassy. that is according to STO but in the books they both choose the world and lived in peace as by that time the Remans didn't see themselves as Reman but from what colony thye where born on and both looked at each other as equals and not master and slave.

    Not only were remans allowed to settle on the republic's new homeworld, but also there wasa dedicated reman quarter within the capitol itself.
    And it is a pity we never got to explore since at least from a distance it looked interesting.

    My Romulan Republic Captain in STO is a Reman Science Officer. I had to pay extra to play as a Reman, but it helps me feel unique, as not many people play Remans. And I love the brain drain power in ground combat.
    The backstory I dreamed up involves her being a great admirer of the great Shinzon, the liberator of her people. She blames the Federation for murdering him (she does not have an accurate knowledge of the events of Nemesis), and so sided with the Klingon Empire when it came time to make an alliance.

    I think it's ironic that between Shinzon an Sela, human/part-human leaders seem rather common for Romulans.

    I wonder why their teeth evolved/mutated into those ferengi-looking fangs, rather than staying the omnivore teeth they previously had

    • @saj2392
      @saj2392 3 роки тому +1

      Well, might be three years too late, but I'd say that such fangs would be great for biting into small animals - perhaps small rodents of some sort that can be found in the mines of Remus?

    Why would the Romulan followers of Surak leave Vulcan with the future Romulans? Perhaps they had family members who were followers of Surak but did not want to be parted from immediate family?

    So basically the Remans or the Helghast of the star trek universe.

    The New Romulan Republican is a pretty good thing. They're a fair egalitarian society. Still a little sneaky and political but a far, faaar cry from the old romulan government.
    I had nod idea that the Reman were direct offshoots of Romulans. Of the references, where is that directly mentioned? I'd like to watch that.

      Remans being related to Vulcans/Romulans is not canon, but canon has never closed off the possibility. The Pocket novel trilogy Vulcan's Soul thus uses this background.

    Well done sir ! The Remans are some badassed Mike Foxtrots ! No wonder they were used as Romluan Marines during the Dominion War ! I'm betting the Jem Hadar weren't expecting them ! (29 April 2018 1349 hours)

    The "creation" of the Remans (when there has been absolutely no previous reference to a "separate" race) is stupid . . . just like the new "reimaged" Klingons in ST:D . . .

      madbear3512 SW is different than ST, SW is space fantasy, Trek is sci fi.
      And SW isnt 'better' than Trek, that's an opinion, and everyone has one.

    • @DrewLSsix
      @DrewLSsix 6 років тому

      The Man From Krypton. If star trek is scifi its the softest of scifi. Little more than some scientific words used and abused to sell a narrative.

    • @SciFiFan2012
      @SciFiFan2012 6 років тому

      madbear3512 I did. It's called an opinion. You are free to disagree.
      Besides, what would you base the two franchises on to prove one is "better"?
      Reality of each universe?
      Merch sold in $?
      Box office?
      Length of time franchise has existed?
      Those still don't prove one is better than the other.

    • @SciFiFan2012
      @SciFiFan2012 6 років тому

      DrewLSsix and? Seems like you dislike ST. Still doesn't disprove my comment.
      There are multiple sci-fi franchises that use technobabble, that doesn't disprove my comment either.

    I don't believe that the Reman's were Vulcan's at all. You're just trying to canonize a crap segway of a story which was Star Trek :Nemesis. And it was a shit movie.
