While I have not read your book, so I can't really comment on it, I will say this: preparing for law school, in a substantive way, before attending is very wise. It drives me crazy when law school grads tell people who will be starting in a few months to "rest, catch up on your sleep, you will need it" and not do anything to get ready. Yes, you can take that approach to law school, and most people do and always have, but if you take the time to learn some basic law, learn study habits, learn about legal research and writing, you will be in a much better position when classes start. There is a reason that people with a legal background tend to do much better in law school than people who are brand-new to the field.
Thank you for sharing this Angela! I could totally relate to all the facts you mentioned in the video.
Never trust a strategy coach influencer unless they were actually successful in the practice of law.
First year law student from Australia, I know things are quite different in the US but have always enjoyed your videos regardless.
I'm so glad to hear it! It's awesome to hear there's some crossover :)
Hey can you make a video for people who didn’t do too well in law school? I am in my third year of JD and struggled through it. I’ve only recently managed to get a paralegal job at a small firm who promised me a graduate position and I’m wondering how to build a career from this point.
Hi Aurelius, I'm so sorry to hear that you're feeling a bit lost at the moment. I don't specialize in the post-graduate job search area, but I know a few coaches who might. Send me a DM on Instagram (@angelavorpahl) and I can send you there contact info!
