    This was very helpful especially about the Unicorn school. I will definitely keep that in mind when it’s time to apply

    Hi Angela! I just binge-watched most of your videos and absolutely love your content! I just graduated from Michigan State university with a Business degree, and currently am working in esports (competitive video games) but want to diversify myself into esports law and intellectual property law. Your content is so helpful for me and makes me much more calm about trying to go for an LSAT prep class and maybe decide to go to Law School if it's right for me. Absolutely love your storytelling and stats you give, thanks so much!

    Thanks for sharing--interesting to hear your experience (LSAT+volleyball game!👏). The recommendation of 12-15 law schools feels like a lot! Similar to you, I only applied to three.

      I know, right? 12-15 sounded like a lot to me too when I heard it, and I don't know that I would apply to that many now even having heard it. 😆

    How long were you at SMU...? this whole time watching your videos, that is in my backyard, I studied all the time. I went to school in Dallas also. As you know, waco isn't far from Dallas

    I just went to a dinner hosted by the law school I will be attending this August. When someone asked why I decided on law school I said, “I just really want a briefcase.” And made sure to say it with a completely straight face 😅

    Hi! If an undergraduate institution has a particularly strict GPA curve, does that impair students' acceptance into top law schools? For example, at Middlebury College, a 3.5 overall GPA can make a student graduate with honors, but that really doesn't look like a good GPA amongst all the highly inflated 4.0s. Thank you!

    • @AngelaVorpahl
      @AngelaVorpahl Рік тому +1

      Good question! I'm not a law school admissions expert, but my understanding is that the reason law schools put such weight on uGPA in admissions is because it factors into the U.S. News and World Report rankings. So, all else being equal, a candidate with a higher uGPA is more "valuable" to the law school in terms of rankings. That being said, it's also my understanding that law schools understand that uGPA inflation happens at certain colleges, and they also understand that certain majors (i.e. STEM majors) are more challenging than others, and evidently may take that into account in admissions decisions as well. P.S. I actually run a free FB group for law students and prelaw students looking for clarity and support in their law school journey, would you like the link to join? :)

    I recently got accepted to Baylor and want to do their moot court 3L! I must be a masochist or something

      Haha I think that's great! Congratulations!!! Looking back, I think I would have loved the moot court experience. But hearing it from the one law student I interacted with, you would think it was hell on earth. And since that was the only information I had at the time, it completely scared me off.

    It matters a lot more where you go to law school because the law filed is saturated unlike medical professions. Lower-ranked law schools have poor employment prospects.
