19:46 first of all, who else is humble enough to post a video of them losing a Grammy nomination. Secondly, they didnt include this part in the clip but BTS's immediate thoughts after "let's hug, we worked hard" were "the fans must be so disappointed." They thought about us more than themselves and they later went on to have a livestream with us that night to talk to us and check in on us. And god they were so exhausted. They were up from somewhere like 5am to after 3am the next day in total cus they had to get all dressed up and treat it all professionally but they didnt know when the announcements would be and waited around for hours and yet they still cared about army so much to come check on us. It's things like this that make me say I've never felt more loved as a fan and as a person than i have since getting into BTS
@@ThisRoscoe What a horrible freaking day! 😔 All of Army crying, we saw the Grammy shaped cake they had behind them just in case 😭😭😭 Just absolutely broke our hearts 💔 So now we call it "the Scammys" and the only reason Army hasn't boycotted it is because it means a lot to the boys...🥺
That must have been so tough for them. It broke my heart when they lost and then performed so flawlessly after the Grammys scheduled them next to last. Jimin was a literal zombie in that live.
I think the main reason the documentary movie "Burn The Stage" hasn't been mentioned is because it's about their 2017 "Wings" tour. An amazing album (as Asian Theory already mentioned), but one that you haven't really familiarized yourself with yet. It's unique in that it has solo songs from every single member on it. As with MMA 2019 awards show, you'd get more out of 'Burn The Stage' after you've listened to more of BTS' music. The live staging of their songs is amazing, definitely worth watching, but best after having gotten to hear the songs and know them first.
I agree. I actually tried watching "Burn the Stage" as a new fan to try to get to know them... and didn't get that much out of it because it doesn't give you the background of the members or any of the larger context. I spent most of it still trying to tell the members apart. I re-watched it later and now I think it's really good -- but I needed all the background info to really understand the importance of different things the members were saying.
I was going to say ARMY hasn't mentioned the Movies yet cause we are easing you into a lot of this. You are correct. There is A LOT of content. That is why we say we are well fed! Honestly I don't know of any other artist that is giving their fans as much content as we get. Like they went on vacation recently and we joked that oh ARMY would get a chance to breath and catch up on things.... HAHAHA.. I learned that just cause the guys go on vaca doesn't mean we do! They were even more active! I say this to say that even those of us who have been here for a little while (im here since Black Swan) are STILL trying to catch up on things. So don't feel rushed. Take it a little at a time. We're going to be on this couch for a while. I'm talking... we've moved in , that's how long you've got. Welcome to the family. Borahae 💜💜💜
The best part about the Grammys- after the broadcast, the boys went live and talked to the 13million+ army that tuned in to say they were ok and not to be upset. The Grammys only had 8million viewers so bts had the last laugh cause really who needs who 😂💜💜💜 Also, to put things into perspective-blood sweats and tears beat the UA-cam record in 2016 with 6 million views in 24 hrs….well dynamite had 100 million views in 24h, while butter beat them all with 108million. BTS had 4 shows in LA a couple months ago,(50,000 at each show) all 4 sold out while they were just in pre-sales, before they even went out to the general public 🤦♀️
Tiny Desk, Armypedia, Room Live 2020, and MTV Unplugged are all scaled down, beautiful mini concerts where you can see their personalities. Of course their flawless vocals/raps are on display and sometimes their excellent live band also.
I really, really recommend using Rise of Bangtan as point of departure for diving into BTS. You can watch an episode a week or something and it will be a slow, indepth introduction to their career, their personalities and the topics they bring into their music. You will also find much to admire in the execution of the documentary itself - the ARMY who made it is an extremely talented editor. I cannot emphasize enough how great it is and it samples from all of their content, so that it isn't so overwhelming to approach. You will laugh, you will cry and you will learn. 😊
Roscoe, it will overwhelm you, just remember that there is no time limit on how you watch or when you "catch up" on their content. The guys are always feeding ARMY with something new. Journey on! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
@@ThisRoscoe Yes...very true. Definitely take your time...at your own pace. I've been ARMY since 2014 and I'm STILL trying to "catch up". They just color my world a little brighter each day. I'm not even up to date with their RUN episodes, which are hilarious btw. 😂💜
@@ThisRoscoe Agree! If nobody's mentioned Burn the Stage to you yet, it's just because there is SO MUCH content that they put out. They also have their own variety show (Run BTS), travel show, other documentaries, mixtapes, live streams, online concerts, a line of cartoon characters they created themselves (BT21), webtoons, not to mention daily releases on UA-cam.
Roscoe we want you to enjoy your journey to rabbit hole thats why we want you to take it one at a time. More contents from BTS will be suggested to you each day and were happy to join you in the big couch of reaction videos and interact with the fandom joyfully.
The performance you wanted to know about was when they performed on MTV Unplugged. They performed Telepathy, Blue & Grey, Dynamite, Life Goes On, and covered Coldplay's song Fix You. I've been ARMY for almost 3 years and I still find content I haven't seen yet. And trust me I watch a lot. Also if you didn't know Butter by BTS is nominated for a Grammy this year, I sure hope BTS attend and perform in person. The video you wanted to know the name of was the music video for Run.
I am so excited that my daughter was able to get a JK mood lamp! She was also able to recently get us tickets to see BTS at SoFi on day 1. It was the most nerve wracking thing I have ever experience trying for the tickets. We were blessed to attend with people from all over the world who came for the concert. I have never been so excited to sing along with everyone in my 60 years! The feeling of being with a like minded family brings tears to my eyes. Borahae!
I suggest you watch the rise of bangtan, this is a documentary of an army that Stan them since 2013 you will learn more about their personality their struggles everything you can ask for
There is so much to take in. These men make me want to be a better human every day. They work so hard, they put everything they are out there and for me at least it is impossible not to love them. The wow's will never stop.
The interview with suga for new years you mentioned at the end of the video is one of my favorite BTS moments. It told me I don't have to have a dream to be happy and I should not be envious of people who have one. I can be happy nevertheless. :)
That was so damn candid. Every influencer, celebrity and their mother put out this “I’m perfect”,grind your ass off, work hard or you aren’t cool mentality. And Sugas out here saying it ok to not have dreams, happinesses should be your priority. I mean working hard is a must. But do it at something you’d love to do.
Your comment about Yoongi's 2018 New Year comments being "wise" really hits home for me. I often see videos of them talking during different Vlives, interviews, Bangtan Bombs and they say things that are so grounded, motivational, thought-provoking, and (yes) wise. They are some very amazing young men who are now and will continue in the future to have a significant impact on those who are fortunate enough to be open to really listen. 💜💜💜
Yes theyre all wise especially of course our Mr. IQ 148 Namjoon, but Suga's wisdom hits differently for me sometimes knowing it comes from a dark, painful experience from selling his music in the streets and getting ripped off, how he would sometimes go hungry and have to choose wether to buy a meal or buy his bus fare 😭
Purchasing BTS concert tickets is like the Hunger Games, you gotta go into the mountains and train months before. Also about their movies and docuseries, BTS has so many shows and movies that it's alot of content to cover, rmr they started really filming stuff during Dope era, so that's damn near 10 years of content and it can take a long time to get through it all, Run BTS alone is 150+ episodes as of today. We try not to overwhelm you but also some things will come later down in your journey.
Just because I love how shook you were about Boy with Luv having 1 Billion views, I'd like to add that currently it has 1.4 B views lol. BTS (so far) have 6 MVs with over 1B views, Dynamite being the most recently released to hit that milestone . Actually, I'll just list them here, with their release dates and their current view count, to make it easier to read haha DNA > released Sep 2017 > 1.4B Mic Drop > released Nov 2017 > 1.1B Idol > released August 2018 > 1B Fake Love > released May 2018 > 1B Boy with Luv > released Apr 1019 > 1.4B Dynamite > released Aug 2020 > 1.3B The next BTS song to hit this milestone will more than likely be 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' as it has over 835 Million views currently EDIT: Oh and an extra fun fact... BTS beat the 'most viewed MV in 24hours' record (previously held by themselves, which was Dynamite with 101.1Million) with their song BUTTER, which garnered 108.2 Million views in 24 hours
And one thing that kinda hurts (haha) is that Fire already has a billion views (just got there last month maybe) - BUT since the video is posted on both 1theK and HYBE, the views are split between them! So, yes, expecting Blood Sweat & Tears next, then Fire and then Butter. Can't wait, hehe. (Also, just for context, BTS has something like 60+ MVs... so that fact that they've amassed these 1B videos is even more of a feat). About the first-24-hour record for UA-cam views, I always wonder if I hear him right when he says BS&T set the record with 6 million views in the first 24 hours (in 2016) - is that right? You mean that in only four years, we went from 6 mill in one day setting a record to 101.1 mill in one day?? Talk about exponential growth.
@@Nilaratna Thank you for adding the info about 'Fire' here NX! And yes, it is astonishing to think about how far they've came. It's quite daunting to think of where they could be in the next 4 years, with regards to everything, including the view count on new releases! 💜
4:42 that billion is now 1.4 billion! 22:26 that clip of Suga at New Year is one is treasure. For me this was such a moment of validation. Not everyone has a ‘grand dream’ or a huge goal, and he made me realise that is absolutely ok. I am content, and that is what really matters.
So excited for future episodes! Always a pleasure to see someone discover and enjoy what you love the most in the entire world . Much love from India .
The show you were looking at (they were in brown suits) was MTV Unplugged. They sang some of their own songs and also an amazing cover of Coldplay's "Fix You". We're here for you going "wow" over and over...we feel it too. Yes...this video was a lot about records they have set and broken. Trust me...you will never run out of content as a BTS reactor. You mentioned that no one had mentioned their movie to you....actually there are 3 and each of those also has an indepth docu-series of several episodes as well as the movies. They have their own variety show called RUN BTS (155 episodes). They did that reality show in LA called "American Hustle Life" which started out super cringe-y but improved with each episode and I think was a big part of shaping them as artists (btw, Warren G was great with them). They have 4 seasons of travel vlogs called Bon Voyage as well as two seasons of staycations they did in Korea called "In The Soop" (the word for forest in Korean). They have countless performance on tv shows, award show, dance practices (as you know), MV, concert footage...and I am just scratching the surface. Between BTS songs, solo mixtapes and cover songs they have a discography of over 300 songs. If someone hasn't mentioned something to you it's because there is just SO MUCH. It's a full time job trying to see everything they have done .They also livestream with the fans frequently. These are the hardest working, most humble people on the planet in my opinion. Thanks for reacting. When they didn't win their Grammy (which is the only prize on the planet they haven't won and one they've always wanted), they immediately livestreamed with the fans to comfort them (and had 13 million viewers....while the Grammy's had an audience of 8.8 million viewers)
It is amazing, what these young men gave and give the world. That is a dept that we can hardly pay because their commitment is a thousand times higher then ours. My biggest fear is that the idol life and their love for us fans will prevent them from living their personal dreams. Their human dreams...I always remember RMs answer to the question which life goals they have: "I wanna be a dad!"....A million army faints just by the rumor that one of them has been talking to someone for more than a minute. I don't want to know what will happen if even one of them officially starts a relationship. And they more than deserve it and above all they need to have that one person they love and who loves them and to whom they can come home...it is hard enough for artists in the western world, but I guess the KPop-Industry/-world with its fandoms will be much more ungracious...I really hope that I'm wrong with that. Thank you, Roscoe...and good night to everyone...
I highly recommend the documentary series "The Rise of Bangtan" you won't regret it! you will be fascinated!!Thank you for your honest and vulnerable reactions.
Aneesa has done a tremendous job with this series. It’s so professionally done. She stresses herself out so much getting content out when promised. I get behind on episodes on purpose so I can binge watch.
@@ThisRoscoe *Hey i truly think you should watch rise of bangtan after u can recognize them individually and it will be more fun too...till then keep react to bts songs, some informative videos and funny videos..hope u see this comment*
Another great reaction, Roscoe! Just as a reminder: when you do react to the song ON (one of the highly requested songs here) ARMY really loves the Kinetic Manifesto version over the official music video. Both are “official” and great mv’s, but the Kinetic one is an ARMY favorite. I’m excited to see what amazing song by the boys you listen to next - stay well!
Hi! The fact that you received sooooo many vulnerable and heartfelt responses to your “Tell Me Your BTS Story” video is a testament to the safe space that BTS and thoughtful, relatable, authentic reactors like you have created for the rest of us. I think we are also all enjoying your Energie! Energie! Energie! I wanted to pass along that chill performances like MTV Unplugged where the members are staying in one place for the majority of the time were super helpful when I was learning who’s who. Carpool Karaoke is like that too - and I think you’d like it. 💜
I went to the Dec 1st ptd concert in LA with my 18 yr old kid & 77 yr old friend. I'm 49. My kid had tickets for the MOTS7 tour that covid cancelled. We were allowed to preorder tickets b4 they were offered to the gen public because of that, & that is the only reason we got tickets. Seats were selling out as we clicked on them to buy, we could see seats disappearing, it was so stressful. We managed to get our 3 tickets but we 3 couldn't sit together. Luckily that happened to so many people we all just sort of sat where we wanted so at least my kid & I sat together by doing a trade of seats between 3 groups of people lol. Getting tickets, flying out the same day of the concert, plane was late, it was all a nightmare. But it was also TOTALLY WORTH IT! Best concert I've ever been to & I would see them again & again if I could. If I were rich I'd follow their concerts like deadheads used to do for the grateful Dead lol. They're the greatest group I've ever seen. 💜
Hi Roscoe, watching all of this will definitely feel overwhelming. I’d suggest you keep doing your thing and doesn’t overanalyze or overthink these big videos too much. You’ll get around to all the details when it’s time to do so. I don’t now your plans on next videos but I recommend the Ida S introduction video next and it won’t overwhelm you like this one, it’s more about the members and their personalities so a lot more light hearted and fun. Then after that continue to watch their music videos, dance practices etc and get more familiar with more songs and when you’ve done that then you can dive into it a bit more because it all will make more sense as you go along! Hopefully this advice helps
@@ThisRoscoe Yes, same suggestion for next video reaction .."BTS introduction 2021 update by Ida S". Thank you for reacting to this btw. Loved it. Looking forward for you journey with BTS and us. Much Love.💜
Agreed! You will go at your own pace based on your interest. You may be more interested in their messages behind their lyrics, MV, etc. or their dance practices, their personalities from interviews and Run BTS (154 episodes). Just depends on your mood for the week or month. But it’s okay if, you skip. You can always go back… I’ve been army for 3 years now and still haven’t caught up on their run bts episodes and I watch a lot a lot 😅🙈. Basically, enjoy your ride baby ARMY! I LOOOOVE your reaction, comments and love for our boys and this community. Thank you so much for making this channel and opening up to us with open arms. 💜💜💜
I am 66 and have been ARMY for about a year and a half. I’ve never really gotten deep into the BU and, while their series “Run BTS” is funny and I’ve seen a number of episodes, there’s just SO MUCH content, that I have to take in what I can. You have to pace yourself so don’t feel pressured. I’ll die of old age before you could react to all of it anyway. 😳 And feel free to just watch some of it on your own. You don’t owe us a reaction to everything. Enjoy it for yourself too.
Lol Nobody has mentioned the movie because there is so much content - Movies, reality shows, V lives, Behind the scenes, dance practice, live performances at concert and award shows, solos, interviews, webtoons, video games and last but not least ha ha more music. The BU (BTS University) is deep and I suggest waiting on that a while. There is just so much stuff you will never catch up because more stuff keeps happening. I think it was just this month that the boys actually had spreads and interviews in both Vogue Korea and GQ. There are articles that you can Google and they are translated into English and it may also help you get to know the boys.
Thanks for not making us wait a day to see part 2. I love this documentary! Another one from Xceleste that I think you might like is called "This is BTS ARMY" it's really awesome.
@@ThisRoscoe BTS Hardships by xCeleste is another good video, and it has quite a few of the mishaps and moments of disrespect our boys have gone through since debut. While it doesn't cover the most recent things, it goes over enough for you to get the big picture.
I often remember that interview snippet of Suga talking about Not having a dream and how that's totally fine... kind of a stoic statement that's so relevant for many of us 'normies' and it helps me a lot when I'm feeling insufficient. For me you're the first creator to pick up on that.
Be happy. Right? It’s so simple yet it gets lost in the whirlwind of Think Big, Go Big, Live Hard! I do think in this way, but there has come a point in my life where I’ve had to stop… and be content. Not settle, but actually be content. It’s an amazing feeling.
Suga's message about not needing a dream and the song that was inspired by that ("Paradise"), gave me relief like nothing else has. From a very young age, I've been stressed about finding my dream or my passion and as someone who did very well in school, I felt like I was expected to do something. It wasn't until I was almost 30 years old, with a husband and a son, that I've made peace with the fact that I don't have a conventional dream and all I need is to be happy. I still occasionally struggle with the guilt of not doing enough, but listening to BTS always seems to help.
I discovered BTS in mid-March 2020. I have been so amazed by them ever since. To this day, I still sit dazzled and gobsmacked, and I say "wow" at them at least once a day (but usually more). Just know that at least one other "wow"er watches with you. I'd be willing to conjecture that there are many more! As you get to know BTS, they just make you love them more and more. 💜
To answer your Q about Theatrical Release Movie Documentaries that BTS has done of their world tours, they've actually done 3: Burn The Stage 2018 / Bring The Soul 2019 / Break The Silence 2020. (And yes the acronyms for all titles are BTS :-). They're all excellent behind-the-scenes as you would imagine, but I think a lot of Army likely don't mention because they're not available free on the internet like most of their content.
i think most people dont mention any of the official docu-series (burn the stage, bring the soul, break the silence) because you have to pay for them and we dont really expect you to do that, especially being newer to figuring out who they are
@@piripiper each of the 3 docu-series has both a movie and a series with a few episodes, but I wouldn't say the movies are just a summary because there is different footage in them. I remember rewatching Burn the Stage the series last year looking for a specific scene, but that one was only on the movie version. I think it's more accurate to say that both versions are complementary of each other.
Suga has been through a lot (his mental and physical health have been affected) and he uses that to fuel his song writing. He gives poignant advice based on his experiences and that's what makes his words so meaningful
Welcome to the ARMY man. I’ve been with these guys since 2019 so I haven’t been an ARMY for as long as some other people, but I can tell you that choosing to invest in BTS was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made. There’s SO much more content for to see and I’m genuinely excited for you to experience it all.
They were so funny at metlife, especially during anpanman and so what 😂 And the ending ment for day1 still lives rent free in my mind because they were so cute
I was showing my husband a funny clip of Eric Nam and Ryan Reynolds being chaotic together, and told him I'd have to finish this 2 min video later, lol!
BTS original movies and documentary series are definitely a must! I think you will love it. Also, If you like travels, I would highly recommend you watch Bon Boyage. My personal favorite is when they went to Malta and New Zealand. It is great way to watch amazing places and leart about BTS personalities :)
*Breathe* and let it all slowly sink in! Every year is another chapter in their lives and a learning curve in ours. As BTS evolves, so do we - a beautiful symbiosis which is so impressively *amazing* 😎💜
That quote from Yoongi has resonated with me since I heard it. As a 35 year old it hit so hard. I think about almost daily. That being a good mom and friend and to strive for happiness can be enough.
I saw the " Break The Silence: The Movie" and the " Bring The Soul " these two BTS movies in the cinema here in Austria !!! They were really great both of them !! You would love them
The most amazing thing about BTS is that they love their fans back. Who else has several songs dedicated directly to fans? They're very humble and grateful, and using their platform to touch people's lives. Many artists are self-absorbed and that's fine, but BTS gives a different experience.
I discovered your channel yesterday and I’m so happy I did 😂😂 I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! So freaking genuine!! I really love your personality and your way of viewing things. It’s just a joy to watch your reactions. Thank you so much for reacting to our boys with such respect❤️
Whenever possible, please mention what you're planning to react to next, so ARMY can give suggestions on which version of the performance or music video or site you should watch/use. Or if there's a "behind the scene/making of" you should also include in your reaction. For the next reaction, I would suggest one of their Live performances (that's when you really see their level of talent). Here's the link to that "Tiny Desk Concert" you mentioned: BTS: Tiny Desk (Home) Concert - UA-cam 💜💜💜
Burn the stage is an amazing movie. You can watch it if you have youtube premium, its in 4K and its just So Good!! I saw it at the premiere at the cinemas:) was so awesome meeting other armys
Thank you for the reaction 😊💜 and as Jin said “go at your own pace” don’t feel pressure to reacting to everything :)) have a nice day Edit: since you’ve react to their music and docu I think it would be good to laugh a little and to know more about their personalities etc, so please react to “Bts proving they’re the funniest idols by kookiestaetas” 💜
there is 3 movies about BTS world tour : Burn the stage (during the Wings tour) ; Bring the soul ( Love Yourself tour) ; Break the silence (Persona : Love Yourself/speak yourself,) . there is also episodes with the same name: with more behind the scene and members interview. So good ! Oh, and the show you want to know, when the speaker talk about Life goes on, is the MTV Unplugged February 2021. They performed a few songs of the BE album (Blue and Grey, Life goes on, Telepathy, plus Dynamite and a cover of Coldplay "Fix You". Beautiful show !
I have been here since 2015 and haven’t seen everything and you’re not the only one who sits and just goes “wow” I literally say it every time I watch these videos and I’ve watched them hundreds of times. I actually cry every time I rewatch them when they win first grand prize. I cry over the successes and how proud I am of them. Fun fact: Dope was my first music video and Yoongi won my heart when he did the “ENERGY, ENERGY” part too.
Hi Roscoe, don't feel pressure to know and understand everything. Like you said they been working for a while, so just enjoy it. We all hope you too get to respect and love BTS.
Another great reaction Roscoe! So many things to elaborate on but I can see by reading some of the comments everyone is doing a fantastic job of filling you in lol! Love the coffee mug by the way!
@@ThisRoscoe I’m always so late! By the time I see the notification you’ve usually got almost 200 comments lol! I was going to say “Joey, do they know that we know?” “They know you know” hahahaha but I figured the moment had already passed since a couple of people had already answered your trivia prompt correctly lol!
Exactly! Prepare yourself because it'll take looooong to dig into their discography and other content. And that's great! It doesn't matter how do you feel, they have something that fits with your mood or can improve it ❤ I hope we can walk together, you're helping me to keep smiling! As James Taylor said "you've got a friend" 😃
Heads up, Roscoe. BTS’s new album is coming soon. ARMY is waiting for Big Hit to announce when unless RM let’s it slip 😂 You get to ride the wave and experience it all. It will be a new era, new concept, new look…epic! It will be so fun and nutz!
Roscoe, you and I are roughly the same age. While I am just beginning my journey connecting with BTS, I must say that your fascination and profound interest is infectious and exhilarating. I am finding BTS thorough you. I hope the seasoned long time BTS fans are just as excited for you as I am. The comments are extraordinary and certainly peaks further interest. You are exactly where you are supposed to be in this creative process. You do a dam good job and we appreciate you!
Thanks Jimmy!! You know you're a rockstar in my book, I hope you hang out on the couch with us for a bit and find something that resonates with you. Find that damn staircase already!
Hi Roscoe, I'm loving your reactions, thank you for putting out so much content in such a short period of time! Hope you're not feeling pressured to put out something everyday, we'll be here for you whenever you drop a new video! Just a side note: after I watched the hardships video by XCeleste, I was mad! Like, so mad, I was ranting (and that's rare for me) over the crap they've gone (and still go) through. Someone in the comments mentioned it's an emotional vid but I just wanted to prepare you a bit and also support someone else's recommendation to have a "happy pill" BTS video ready to watch after. Thanks!
stopped watching BTS In the Soop to come back here lolll. hello again. Seeing the album covers where you restarted, They actually have different versions of album covers and sometimes put together they make a big picture, so those lines would create a prettier drawing, and it's some ARMYs goal to collect all to have the full collection of not only album covers but also the picture cards of the members inside, which can be hard because unless you buy all the versions at once as a set or buy from a reseller you otherwise get random versions from Big Hit, so it can take many tries to get your bias's photo card or get all the versions to complete the collection.
I just watched all your BTS reactions and i don't regret spending hours watching them because you were genuine and great and i thank you for it Borahae
This is a video about their success. And it's awesome. ARMY are so happy because they are getting the recognition they deserve. I hope you can react to their hardships because this wasn't easily achieved. And they had always said that at this point it's not about money or recognition, it's about their love for music and for ARMY.
Now that you've seen the intro to their career journey, I think your next video should be the Ida S introduction, so that you can get an idea of each member a bit more individually. Maybe you can do the hardships video after all the introductions and maybe even a few more songs/etc just so that you can really absorb everything and take your time with it. The hardships video is a lot of info/story all at once and can be kind of overwhelming imo..it's also kind of heavy and negative emotions. It would be better for you to get more context on each of them and maybe look at some more music and stuff before getting into something like that? Also, I would suggest watching a happy/funny BTS video after the Hardships one cuz you'll need it to lift your spirits again lol (and happy bts videos definitely will lift your spirits haha it's like magic)
Here's a link to a funny compilation video that I saw someone else recommend down here too called "bts proving they're the funniest idols" by kookiestaetas: ua-cam.com/video/a4mspL6-KSg/v-deo.html Careful when you pick these funny compilation videos by the way bc some are confusing/out of context/weird/trying to portray things in their own way. It's best to watch original content straight from the source like RUN BTS, fun interviews, etc but some channels can be good. Generally this one is but it depends on the video lol... Other good wholesome happy content channels are jinnie eats, Sugaarmy, pinkkoyaa films, etc. Whenever the time comes, I'm sure if you're looking for fun/happy videos, you can post about it and armys can find and pick and give you links and whatnot haha
They have their own documentaries and shows. I think we did not want to overwhelm you. Because it is nice to know them first. Burn the stage is about your they had. Super cool documentary series
Something that was only briefly touched upon in this documentary was the importance of the Run BTS series, the Bon Voyage series, and the In the Soop series. They KNOW how to use social media like no other artist I've seen. The Run BTS series (they have made 155 episodes to date) gives the fans a pretty accurate picture of their personalities and the way they interact as brothers and as a team while they are playing games and doing fun activities. It is fascinating, funny, and very entertaining. Part of their appeal is something you said in a previous reaction - "I just really want to hang out with these guys". You'll feel that even more after watching these shows.
Hi Roscoe! Just want to thank you so much for taking your time to react to this video! I also can't wait to see how you proceed with your BTS journey. Everyone tackles it a little differently. Some like to start at the beginning to see how the guys evolve. Others start with recommendations based on the genres of music they prefer. I've seen at least one person start with their most recent album and work backwards. Some follow the Rise of Bangtan documentary and as they go they watch related content from that era. Others like you like to mix it up where they do some music videos, then documentaries, interviews, live performances, etc. So far you've obviously listened to songs that you played on Beat Saber and that's totally fine, except I just wanted to let you know you may want to hold off on Blood Sweat and Tears if you're interested in the Bangtan Universe at all. The Blood Sweat and Tears music video is part of the universe so I would at least recommend watching those in order if that is something you want to try to unravel (it is complicated as heck so seriously no judgement from me if you don't want to give yourself the headaches with it lol - there are plenty of helpful videos summarizing it more cohesively than I ever could have figured out on my own). As I've seen others recommend, if you do decide to watch live performances or want to see good interviews or other videos to get to know the guys and their personalities, please ask us for advice. There are some live performances where camera or audio quality is sub-par, just as there are interviews (a lot when they were first gaining attention in the US) where they ask boring questions and you don't get to see how deep and thoughtful they are when asked good questions. I personally adore their Grammy Museum interview because it was long and had very good questions. There are also lot of compilation videos that are funny or highlight the relationships between the members. Some of the funny videos anyone can enjoy, but others are for experienced ARMY that have a lot of inside jokes that people don't understand for awhile. Some relationship videos are sweet and show how close the members are and how they are truly a family. There are group relationship videos as well as individual pairing videos - i.e. highlighting RM and Jungkook's relationship - but some of these get super cringey with people slow-motioning interactions and trying to make it romantic. Member A put their hand on Member B's shoulder... it MUST BE LOVE!! Just ask us and we'll steer you away from any bad videos! I really look forward to seeing how you decide to navigate your journey!
Just an update on the Scammys...BTS is nominated again this year for only Duo/Group. Not SOTY, not AOTY, just the 1. This is in spite of the fact that they had the longest running #1 in 2021, they got AOTY, Favorite Pop Song, and Favorite Pop Duo/Group at the AMAs. Unless the Scammys have changed drastically, the chances of them winning are slim. They are very xenophobic, as is most of the music and media industry in the US. Rolling Stone is about the only media that does good writing about BTS and Kpop in general. BB is absolutely horrid, they write very racist articles.
You are right there is so much too see, I think thats why Burn the Stage probably not mentioned yet to you. Suga really wants a grammy in many interviews when they ask the group what they want to achieve he humble, quietly says a Grammy. He knows that they have accomplished way more then what a Grammy will give them but I still think he quietly wants one. That clip of suga was part of another introduction of the members it was an early version which I love because it did go into suga songs he made about mental illness and that clip was include it definitely made me think , he is right you can be happy without having a dream, you can be happy just doing what you want to do. A lot of suga words if you listen to them are very wise. BTS has touched so many and its not about the money for them they really care about their fans. In another clip of the introduction to the members when it was RMs turn they showed a clip and you might of seen it , it was him saying if we can only bring your pain down from 100 to 99,98 or 97 then basically they have done their jobs. Thats amazing from a group that can easily let the fame go to their heads, but it isn't about the fame to them its about helping others, healing others , encouraging others, encouraging self love and of course entertaining others. Thanks for letting us be a part of your journey its been great so far.
Great video as always, BTS are truly a movement if anything. Also the Interview where SUGA spoke about not having a dream is same one that inspired their song called Paradise and I definitely recommend checking it out anytime soon :)
BTS has movies/documentaries called Burn the Stage, Break the Silence, and Bring the Soul. They're pretty long so maybe that's why you haven't heard people talk about them much. That plus there's just sooooooo much BTS content so it's hard to name them all at once hahaha. But they are GREAT. Definitely recommend to watch on here or on your own time XD.
Thanks for sharing all of this, Paige... I had no idea. Just more feelings of "these guys are incredible..." Thanks.

Borahae 💜💜💜
Also "Burn the stage" is paid content, you can't react to it on UA-cam, only on Patreon 😪
The best part about the Grammys- after the broadcast, the boys went live and talked to the 13million+ army that tuned in to say they were ok and not to be upset. The Grammys only had 8million viewers so bts had the last laugh cause really who needs who 😂💜💜💜
Also, to put things into perspective-blood sweats and tears beat the UA-cam record in 2016 with 6 million views in 24 hrs….well dynamite had 100 million views in 24h, while butter beat them all with 108million.
BTS had 4 shows in LA a couple months ago,(50,000 at each show) all 4 sold out while they were just in
pre-sales, before they even went out to the general public 🤦♀️
The show was MTV unplugged. You'll enjoy it as well as their tiny desk performance
Tiny Desk, Armypedia, Room Live 2020, and MTV Unplugged are all scaled down, beautiful mini concerts where you can see their personalities. Of course their flawless vocals/raps are on display and sometimes their excellent live band also.
ANd BBC Lounge Live - and BTS Festa Room
Yes!! Both breathtaking AWSOME!!!
The words of Suga talking about dreams, or not having one, was put into a song called Paradise. Love it!💜
One of my favorite songs. It has a brilliant part by every member too. No live version as far as I know though.
They sing, almost scream, "Stop running for nothing, my friend"... and I cry. Every time.
And that Suga to J-Hope transition🥰🔥
@@jenwinsim remember when we thought bts was ignoring the song #justiceforparadise.... 😂 JK just didn't know the English title... Army:🤡
@@jenwinsim I think the closest we got was JK on the VLive....after he remembered they had a song called Paradise!🤦😂😂
This is a great suggestion since it's in chronological order and so well made, in depth and engaging.
I totally agree!!! It’s a very well made series.
I totally agreed.
"To you I am an old man" ....I think you will find you are right around the same age as a lot of us. 👍🏻

Yup, I'm older than you Rosco. I'm 57
You're still young..i am 70 .6 yrs old
He's way younger than many of us... 😅
Roscoe, it will overwhelm you, just remember that there is no time limit on how you watch or when you "catch up" on their content. The guys are always feeding ARMY with something new.
Journey on!

Thanks for the encouragement, Sassy!
@@nevaladder thanks Neva!!
Guaranteed the scammy will go to lady gaga and tony bennet ☹️
Getting BTS concert tickets is like The Hunger Games. Also their merch. 😁
Truth...
Anyone hunting for Jungkook merch today? 🤡
Borahae!
Until now I am stunned and hurting over Suga's necklace 😭😆

I suggest you watch the rise of bangtan, this is a documentary of an army that Stan them since 2013 you will learn more about their personality their struggles everything you can ask for
I think he should react rise of bangtan after he can recognize them indevidually till then let him watch the songs

Despite all their huge success and taking the world by storm they remain so humble .❤
BTS concert footage and docuseries all in good time Roscoe, Remember there is over 10 years of content lol
😅🤣 I love your comment 💜💜💜 it's true a lot to dive in!
IQ 148 Namjoon, but Suga's wisdom hits differently for me sometimes knowing it comes from a dark, painful experience from selling his music in the streets and getting ripped off, how he would sometimes go hungry and have to choose wether to buy a meal or buy his bus fare 😭
ua-cam.com/video/UM6EDaCCto4/v-deo.html Video of the 1st Happy New Year messages from the boys the year they debuted. RM’s blows me away every time 💜
Purchasing BTS concert tickets is like the Hunger Games, you gotta go into the mountains and train months before.

Actually, I'll just list them here, with their release dates and their current view count, to make it easier to read haha
DNA > released Sep 2017 > 1.4B
Mic Drop > released Nov 2017 > 1.1B
Idol > released August 2018 > 1B
Fake Love > released May 2018 > 1B
Boy with Luv > released Apr 1019 > 1.4B
Dynamite > released Aug 2020 > 1.3B
The next BTS song to hit this milestone will more than likely be 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' as it has over 835 Million views currently
EDIT: Oh and an extra fun fact...
I heard!! WHAT?!?!
So excited for future episodes! Always a pleasure to see someone discover and enjoy what you love the most in the entire world . Much love from India .
Much love right back to you across the pond, Aishi!!
Thanks for all this info, Laurie!!
This comment is everything. 😭👍💜
I’ve been Army for a little over 3 years now and I still haven’t seen everything BTS has done. It’s a long road ahead but so worth it.
That clip of Suga saying it's okay to not have a dream and to just be happy inspired Paradise a song I highly recommend

I’ll never get over Film Out and Blue & Grey

Thank you for sharing this, Buddy. 🤗
They're all excellent behind-the-scenes as you would imagine, but I think a lot of Army likely don't mention because they're not available free on the internet like most of their content.
i think most people dont mention any of the official docu-series (burn the stage, bring the soul, break the silence) because you have to pay for them and we dont really expect you to do that, especially being newer to figuring out who they are

and they are movies, so they’re looooong
@@larewi6765 actually im pretty sure all of them are available in episodic form, the movies are just a summary of all the episodes.
@@piripiper probably, I watched all 3 movies at the theatre, so I haven’t really checked.

Thanks, Christian! I appreciate the warm welcome!
yes, watch it is one of the reasons I Love the boys Nam speech made me cry….
It's definitely not just you saying "wow" through all of this. No matter how many times I see this, I am ALWAYS amazed.
So excited for your journey haha! 💜
And prepare yourself to break record with us next comeback haha !
LOL I'm ready for ARMY, Blue! (Or am I?) We will find out!
@@ThisRoscoe It's easy. BTS will announce when they drop the song. ARMY tunes in during the premiere and breaks another UA-cam record...hopefully.
I love the fact that when they are talking about the rappers they put picture of Jungkook as he is the sub- rapper.😊
I was absolutely blessed to be able to see them at MetLife 🔥🔥🔥
Amazing!!!
I was there too! Amazing experience I will never forget.
They were so funny at metlife, especially during anpanman and so what 😂 And the ending ment for day1 still lives rent free in my mind because they were so cute
They actually made a song inspired by that suga's new year quote. The song is called paradise, it have great message
I love Paradise so much its on my top 5 💜
We all had gone through the "wow" stage but also like to watch any new one "wow" to BTS. Keep checking out BTS's music and their personas.
I was in the middle of a movie and stopped it to come and finish this. 💜🛋️
Scoot over Jamie!
I was showing my husband a funny clip of Eric Nam and Ryan Reynolds being chaotic together, and told him I'd have to finish this 2 min video later, lol!
@@monekos1094 I watched that again yesterday - they were so funny. I’m off to see Eric in concert with my bestie in July. Can’t wait!!!!
@@monekos1094 yeah I know that video 😆 so much happens when you put Eric and Ryan together 😂
@@monekos1094 Was it the one when they were on a bodyfriend?
BTS original movies and documentary series are definitely a must! I think you will love it. Also, If you like travels, I would highly recommend you watch Bon Boyage. My personal favorite is when they went to Malta and New Zealand. It is great way to watch amazing places and leart about BTS personalities :)
Suga is so wise he is like the group’s Grandpa 🤣
Hahaha! That’s good I hadn’t heard that one. 😆
Bts is going to be here for a very long time. And I truly cherish that. They're such incredible people. I want hug them individually so badly
*Breathe* and let it all slowly sink in! Every year is another chapter in their lives and a learning curve in ours. As BTS evolves, so do we - a beautiful symbiosis which is so impressively *amazing* 😎💜
The face says it all, doesn't it? 😳

You will love BTS Room live 2021..love you reactions as usual 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you Blazed!
That quote from Yoongi has resonated with me since I heard it. As a 35 year old it hit so hard. I think about almost daily. That being a good mom and friend and to strive for happiness can be enough.
You will lose your mind over ON: Kinetic Manifesto 💜 Promise 💜 The dancing and dance break is insane 💜
Hope to see Roscoe mad stomp dancing to ON. 🤣
U should check "Rise Of Bangtan" series (best documentary series ) u can learn about them from the beginning all) .. Looking forward to it.
I saw the " Break The Silence: The Movie"
and the " Bring The Soul " these two BTS movies in the cinema here in Austria !!!
Hi Deborah!! Thanks for joining us on the couch!! MUCH LOVE!!!
I will do my best to do this, Coffee! A good idea!
Burn the stage is an amazing movie. You can watch it if you have youtube premium, its in 4K and its just So Good!! I saw it at the premiere at the cinemas:) was so awesome meeting other armys
there's a behind-the-scenes Grammy, a bangtan episode
one of my faves... you really get a glimpse of their brotherhood.
Thank you for the reaction 😊💜 and as Jin said “go at your own pace” don’t feel pressure to reacting to everything :)) have a nice day
Edit: since you’ve react to their music and docu I think it would be good to laugh a little and to know more about their personalities etc, so please react to “Bts proving they’re the funniest idols by kookiestaetas” 💜
I appreciate that, Nade!!
this is a good video recommendation!!
here's a link: ua-cam.com/video/a4mspL6-KSg/v-deo.html
there is 3 movies about BTS world tour : Burn the stage (during the Wings tour) ; Bring the soul ( Love Yourself tour) ; Break the silence (Persona : Love Yourself/speak yourself,) . there is also episodes with the same name: with more behind the scene and members interview.
Yes!!! "BLACK SWAN" and "ON cinetic Manifesto Film" a must watch soon🤭😍💜
I never realized before the zoom on the UN speech “lead singer” for RM 🤣🤣🤣
Hi Roscoe, don't feel pressure to know and understand everything. Like you said they been working for a while, so just enjoy it. We all hope you too get to respect and love BTS.
Another great reaction Roscoe! So many things to elaborate on but I can see by reading some of the comments everyone is doing a fantastic job of filling you in lol! Love the coffee mug by the way!
I was waiting for you, cue!! Nice to see you!
Love James Taylor!! Hi Silvia!! 👋
Stopped what I was watching to come watch this 🥰
Same
Heads up, Roscoe. BTS’s new album is coming soon. ARMY is waiting for Big Hit to announce when unless RM let’s it slip 😂 You get to ride the wave and experience it all. It will be a new era, new concept, new look…epic! It will be so fun and nutz!
A great update!!! Thank you!!
We go wow with you for the hundredth time. No worries.
😆 good to know, Darya
They are extremely deligent and hard working people to put out soooooo many contents, songs and dances.
Thanks!
A GREAT recommendation, thank you, Dominique!!!
That Suga quote you mentioned evolved into the song, Paradise.
You going “wow” it’s just fine 😂 bc yes! Wow indeed
stopped watching BTS In the Soop to come back here lolll. hello again.
Bts have been nominated again in the same category so here's hoping they get the win in April this year!
I’ll be cheering them on!!
Their discography can be overwhelming but please take your time and enjoy them!
Tysm for taking us on your journey down the BTS rabbit hole!
I just watched all your BTS reactions and i don't regret spending hours watching them because you were genuine and great and i thank you for it
Borahae
Hi Atika! Thank you, I am glad you enjoy them!!
Yes, a physical RUN BTS episode would be great. The instant happy pill
Here's a link to a funny compilation video that I saw someone else recommend down here too called "bts proving they're the funniest idols" by kookiestaetas: ua-cam.com/video/a4mspL6-KSg/v-deo.html
Careful when you pick these funny compilation videos by the way bc some are confusing/out of context/weird/trying to portray things in their own way.
The look of betrayal when Roscoe heard about the movie! 🤦🏽♀️ 😆
They've spoken twice at the UNGA already. Oh, and it's always the Hunger Games when concert tickets are on sale.
Yay! It’s here! Ive been waiting for your next upload. i enjoyed watching your reaction bcoz of your sincere interest with BTS! 💜
Hope you enjoyed it!
