This is one of my favourite Comic Strip episodes. My others are Mr.Jolly Lives Next Door and A Fistfull of Travellers Cheques. I love the ones where Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson are involved in the writing aswell. Aswell as being hilarious on screen, Rik has been involved in the writing of The Young Ones, his character Kevin Turvey from the '80s sketch show A Kick Up The Eighties, some of the best Comic Strip episodes and Bottom. He was a truly talented Comic who made me laugh so much. I can't believe he's been gone for quite a number years now. Such a huge miss.

The blame for this lies squarely on the shoulders of the British Film Industry!

This is one of the funniest episodes with Rik Mayal along with "Beat Generation"; Actually I enjoy all of them but the ones with Rik and Ade; Jennifer and Dawn; Nigel and Peter together are among the funniest of all of them. This isn't to say Robbie Coltrane isn't funny because he was hilarious in every episode he appeared in; the real punchline is RIk and Ade wrote this. Their critique of the way they ended the film is very very Python [In fact it was Terry Jones and Michael Palin's with Eric Idle] in the last Season without John Cleese

The car is a late model Invacar, owned by the DHSS...might be one of the "hot" 600cc ones that could do 82mph!
