I'm glad to have stumbled on to your channel.I get a kick from the way you teach, your just too true to yourself. It's endearing and binge worthy. Great job.
Thank you for all your Videos. Both here and on the casting channel. I am in Wisconsin Rapids WI and have been casting on and off for several years. I've always wanted to try gold panning and thanks to you and Flour Gold Wizards (I saw you first then stumbled into his channel) I learned about Wisconsin having gold. August 2024 I went on a weekend vacation to nugget lake and found my first few flexs of flour gold. Tiny, but still awesome feeling. Someday I hope to stumble into both of you guys while gold hunting. Very unlikely I know, but you're both so personable and knowledgeable that I'm just positive we'd have a nice chat. I'm planning on some gold hunting trips next summer. Thank you for all your entertainment and keep them coming.
@@Ryan-yo4dg That would be awesome! I'm pretty sure I read something that they were going to be doing a draw down or dredging or something. I should look that up again. I'd love to plan a trip there again. I'd even be willing to try some winter prospecting. I've got a cheap Amazon beginner set and can borrow my brothers 9" sluice. It's got the green mesh (Looks like a big kitchen scothbrite pad). I'd just have to pick up some waders. How would I contact you or have you contact me directly without posting private info online?

I’m currently only about halfway through this livestream video. But… I had to comment on your question about how to do your vials. I DEFINITELY think you should keep each season separate! I know you’ve always talked about “filling” your vial. But I think that over time, it’d be so much more fun to see each season side by side! You can always add the numbers for a total. I get that it’d also be fun to see a “full” vial. And maybe once you reach an amount where you can fill one, it maybe time to combine! But in the meantime, I vote for keeping each season separate. Thanks for all the awesome videos! Keep them coming!
@@GlacialGoldHunter Lol! I’m learning that as I’ve worked my way through the rest of the video. Have a good work week my friend! I went to college in Dubuque. Wish I woulda known back then I coulda been gold panning!!!! 🤣
I missed you live but we enjoy keeping up with your gold, agate, and fossil discoveries. I think the sh sh sh sound of the rock pebble twirling is a calming noise. Thanks for sharing with us. I also enjoy your humor alot👍🎯💯
When you were hunting in North Dakota, you should go further west than the Red River. Go west to a town called Walhalla next to the Canadian border in the NW corner of Pembina County. West of Walhalla you come to the Pembina Gorge at the Pembina escarpment. In the gorge there is a small side creek that dumps into the Pembina river. I have panned there before just for shits and giggles. I have panned up nice flakes there but not enough to quit my day job 😂. Old Walhalla history shows there was a gold mine there many years ago. Good gravel banks to prospect and as a bonus you find lots of small garnets in your pan. On this creek was also where the old gold mine was located. I followed the creek for a few miles while panning but could never find the actual mine as I’m sure it has been washed away many years ago. Nice videos always a pleasure to watch
You said you don’t teach, but I’ve learned a LOT of geology from you on this channel, so you are teaching ;). If you ever make it over to Appleton, WI, I’ve got an extra metal detector you can use. Gold rings will fill that vial up quick. Inspect your quartz, I’ve got a few with flour gold in them.
A little suggestion: if you are digging on a gravel bar head into the water and look for the deepest spot you can work...preferably bedrock. Then start to trench towards the bar. Working the overburden will only show you that gold is coming down the river in recent high water events. That's a good sign but all the older heavies are being sorted to the bottom. Also keep in mind that when digging in water you lose everything you dont get underneath. Enjoying your channel from over here in oregon / washington.
My nephew owns a houseboat business in International Falls, MN on Rainy Lake. You could rent a boat from them if you decide to prospect up there. It's a beautiful and huge lake. Good video! Thank you for taking us on the adventure and freezing your toes for us! 😊
Fun - stay warm! You and Flour Gold Wizard are crazy fun to watch! You too need to do a video together! Wind turbines produce the least expensive power even with the variability. With proper engineering of base load and renewables you get the least expensive and most reliable energy.
I would argue those fan blades are a waste, they require a ton of concrete, and fill up landfills, plus the amount of equipment to transport is ridiculous.
Keep up the great word bud! I ever come across known gold around my area and can get permission to go. I’ll shoot you a message. I grew up around Cassville.
Missed the live. But, my uncle used to work at the flambeau mine. I grew up a few miles away. He worked with the geologists. I toured it when the pit was open. Those big rock trucks looked like ants from the top edge looking down at them. He had quite the collection of minerals etc he'd gotten while working. Very cool stuff. I may still have some of the ore they hauled up. Anyways. I'd like to know if the blue hills in rusk co. has any gold with all the gracial formation. Devils Creek maybe? Anyways. Thanks! Keep up the good work.
You should get yourself an Arbor Classifier. It will definitely increase your production. Heavy Pans and thanks for sharing your ice Cold Gold Adventure

What is to debate? Indoctrination VS experimentation? Debate isn't flat or round - it is whether or not the model they give to us is our experience or what we experience we can prove to ourselves is true - if you experience a spinning ball warbling through endless space with theories to explain everything to your satisfaction, then you live there. If you experience a level non spinning environment and have procured enough evidence to support your experience, then you live there. No need to make fun of people you don't understand regardless. Missed the live but do have a question....why haven't you tossed that commercial classifier in the relics closet and picked up an aquatic plant pot from home depot. Every video I watch you fumble with that thing.
@GlacialGoldHunter It's a game changer and they're cheap, fit in a bucket better than the commercial ones but I mean if your panning nuggets the half inch classifiers are gonna be the ticket. For the flour gold though the plant pot is perfect and you can comfortably shovel material in and it's already submerged in the water. Wouldn't preach it if I didn't stand by it.
