one of these dinos looks kinda familiar
Skinny legend got me quaking
One of the sharks looks familiar LMAO
I bet that dino'd make a great comedy duo with Danny Sexbang, and they could just play video games and do dumb stuff at a table with other dinosaurs. That's be sick.
Yea, he looks like the video game boy, hes the one who wins.
Game Grumps? You came to kill us, but with comedy
very epic flip whoever that was at 2:40
NGL, I paused, scrubbed back once and went "wait...is that Ross?!" lol. An epic flip, indeed.
If you reverse the time stamp it becomes 4:20, which is just magnificent.
Rock the fuck on!
That’s RubberRoss. He’s an animator on Twitch.
@@CEFG100 He's an animator on Gartic Phone*
The pain in the eyes of Brian Wecht, Ph.D, when Dan tells him that Albert Einstein invented space. Magical.
Too bad Ninja Brian can’t (or won’t?) talk to correct him 🤷
@@sophiawidzowski1757 Instead he just stares on in pain
I believe any man woman or otherwise of science would be in pain
@@sophiawidzowski1757 Why do you think he is filled with insatiable and murderous rage?
It's funnier when you realize that there's a 50% chance that Brian came up with that line himself.
"Just asks Albert Einstein. He invented space."
*Cuts over to a man with a PhD in particle physics darting his eyes to the side*
Ha! Came here to say this.
Awesome
Hello Mr. Rad, how has your day been?
Awesome.
Glad to see you participating in historical reenactments. Really shows off your range.
A nice surprise :)
Awesome
Even after 10 years this is still my jam
Didn’t expect you here
@@Bruh-os6yp My thoughts exactly.
Omg I love your videos and nsp what a day
NSP and Creeps collab where Creeps sings a song and Danny/Brian read a creepypasta. Sounds dope
Oh hey Creeos
2:50 the fact that Brian is trying to drown a shark while Dan is singin "It's fucking science!
" in the background is just too perfect and kills me every time
not just any shark, it was ross
Honestly that just makes it better
Brian's confused and disapproving look on "he invented space" is a nice touch
Especially since this is the guy with a PHD in particle physics
Well too bad, man, that's science! Don't like it? Then get outta space! Pfft!
They grew up, but they never grew out.
Luv your vids
Oh hey Davvy.
Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.
Davvy wrong part of UA-cam! You can't stray outside of your Zone! Itll mess up the natural order of things! Itll rain cats and dogs! There will be rioting in the streets. There'll be..... wait mah this totally tracks with your sense of humor, carry on
The boy grows upwards, but the girl grows up.
The "it's fucking scienceeeee" was absolutely majestic.
Oh my God, yes. I almost cried. His voice has always been great, but it's really come a long way since the early days.
I want it on a soundboard
2:09
Holy shit that have me goosebumps
*scieeeeeeence
"scienceeeee" would be pronounced with a real long "ee" at the end lol
It's ok to cry to this right?.....RIGHT??

its ok. if you need to cry ill cry with you
I too had a weird emotional response to the video :)
I did it's not weird at all and totally ok lol
It's ok
I'm surprised no one's talking about the fact that Ethan directed this.
You better believe I'm talkin about it. It's great!!
They are and they have. It's fantastic.
I'm so proud of Eef 🥺🥺
This was exactly the comment I came down here looking for! You know darn well I had to look for talk about the Melonman, the Gongoozler!

I saw his name and was like 'hang on. Hang on. Ethan??'
Where do you see Ethan?
@@Mega-Prime It was directed by him
I hope this doesn’t get lost in all the comments, I’m 24 and pissed tf off that I didn’t get on the NSP train YEARS ago. I have been binging your albums and videos and have rediscovered a part of myself that I forgot about, a part that is light and childish and fucking amazing! Please for the love of all that is good PLEASE keep it up. Between this and Game grumps I think my internet life is complete
Nag you good dude. Im listening to them again as well!
Crying.
For anyone who hasn't seen NSP live, this is what it's like.
I didn’t discover them until last year. Now I own all their albums and am DYING to see them live
When I saw them in Orlando on the Rock Hard tour the whole room got so emotional over dinosaurs and lasers
@@andewgeeves Same! I hope they come to Germany and if they do I will literally travel anywhere to see them live! This band really is more than amazing..
Saw them in Edinburgh; we got to scream a message to Dan’s nephews bc they were way too young to attend :)
Saw them back in 2018, the Tour de Force, in Silver Spring, MD. I live in VA and the MD show was added to the tour late and managed to snag tickets. It sold out in a day. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.
The style they went with for this song is actually beautiful when you consider the history and significance behind it. It was the first time Arin and Dan collaborated on something, and their comedic chemistry eventually led to them working together on Game Grumps and NSP’s popularity skyrocketing. Before this (not to be a downer), Dan’s career was in a serious rut and NSP was pretty obscure.
If you think about it, this one song single-handedly saved Dan’s career and changed his life forever.
It's weird how the universe works right?
If I recall correctly, Ross knew Arin from New grounds as they were both animators.
Ross happened to find NSP and showed them to Arin.
That sparked him to reach out and offer help for a music video and led to everything else you mentioned.
If Newgrounds never existed or Ross and Arin never met, who knows what would've happened. The world is so weird.
@@x3ph34r i don't want to live in a world where Dan and Arin never met
Dan and Arin are so good together as a duo and I’m so glad that fate led to this
And gamegrump wouldve ended early
Thanks ross
and if i remember correctly, it was only possible because Granny Sexbang helped make it happen!
I love Ninja Brian's "Yeah, this is happening." face as he tries to drown someone.
I can't believe I shed a tear for a song about dinosaurs and lasers.
The fact that Ethan directed this really serves as a testament to how much he's improved and grown.
Ethan?
@@Vivid_Sky23 Ethan Nestor, aka Crankgameplays. One half of Unus Annus
@@haydenwallis6708 Oh wow I didn't know he directed stuff never new his last name but if it counts that's the person I thought of I just never figured I'd be right in my guess
I wonder if [REDACTED] helped him hone his visual style/opinions with the editor notes and such
Mark would be proud, especially since he said he wanted him to branch out more and try new things and stick to them.
This is still the best retelling of a dinosaur/robot/shark/alien space battle I've ever heard.
according to NSP it 100% did happen
@@jare3459 Of course it happened, it's fucking science.
I dunno, I went to a college lecture and the professor there made some more eloquent points. NSP just happened to explain it in song
Just ask Albert Einstein, he invented it!
By FAR
Dude, good on ethan for directing this absolute piece of art
That 'Holy Shit' delivery always gets me. These lyrics have no right to make me feel these feels I'm feeling. I love this song, the melody is wonderful.
Seeing Brian cringe during "he invented space" was so vindicating xD
Considering Brian was a college theoretical physics professor, his reaction seems oh so appropriate 🤣
He didn't invent space, but the theory of relativity helped to invent the concept of spacetime. So in some ways Albert Einstein DID invent space, conceptually, not physically.
He felt that deep in his PhD
I have no idea which of the 3 is making me cry: remembering them playing this at their concerts, the STELLAR strings at the end that just make the song soar, or thinking about how far NSP has come
Rock on you weird dudes
Couldn't have said it any better bruv
I remember going to their concert and having everyone sing along to the slow version of the song. Amazing experience
I went to an nsp show in 2019 when they came out here to Auckland and it was amazing I’m so glad I’m gonna be able to stream this version now!!
@@nathanwalkinshaw7801 Lucky! Since I now have a job and a car, I'll definitely see them live next time they do a tour in or near Washington! I've got to do it at least once in my life!
Eef directing this makes me so fucking happy. he’s so talented
Brian’s concerned expressions always make me crack up. It’s like he’s the only person there who realizes just how fucked whatever is going on is
Man, the nostalgia...
GAGAGAGAGA I just disliked my own face because I am unpretty. HOWEVER: I always like my GOOD videos however. No dislikes allowed where I come from. Don't be mean, dear dan
fancy meeting you here. nostalgica bc they are still making music?
It’s an old song
The monochrome, the outfits, the Bowie face paint, the epic tone - this is a masterpiece of untold proportions
You can really the years of experience behind this new version. From the composition to the voice, every ounce of this shows how far you guys have come.
Rock the fuck on.
the little touch of ninja brian being annoyed at the claim that Einstein invented space got me lmao
“Excuse me, barista at Starbucks, you forgot the ketchup packet for my panini!! Don’t you know who I am?? I wrote a song about laser dinosaurs that’s popular on the internet!? I’ll be in my car.”

Was not expecting dinosaur laser fight of all songs to be turned into an inspirational masterpiece
It already was!
What an amazing way to end the album. This is proof that music is an emotional expression of pain and love shared between creator and audience that puts us all in the same room... no matter where you physically are... even if its only for a few minutes.
The fact that they still keep that low budget charm in their videos is absolutely legendary.
"Just ask Albert Einstein. He invented space."
Ninja Brian: *epic eyeroll*
Guy acts like he's got a PhD
Odds are he's the guy who wrote those lyrics
He's rolling his eyes because Ninja Brian invented space.
The best laugh was that one.
Also notice that it was after this line Ninja Brian went on a killing spree/experienced a normal Tuesday
Dan: “Hey boys and girls!”
My Heart: *Explodes*
Brings me back
Yup, its so Damn conforting
Not easy to make a song about dinosaurs in space with sharks and robots sound genuinely beautiful and touching, but goddamn it, they've done it.
2:48 Definitely eef backflipping into the pool there lol. Amazing job to everyone involved in this. Looks like it was a ton of fun to make. Also huge props to Ethan for directing this. Thoroughly impressed my dude.
This was one of the best parts of seeing NSP live, I never expected to cry with a couple thousand people over a song about dinosaurs and laser fights
It hit hard cause when I first listened to dinasaur laser fight I was a freshman I'm high school now I'm 25 with a family of my own it really shows how much time has gone by
So true! It was an unexpected version at the concert, but certainly a welcomed one.
I very much agree!! I am so happy I got to see this version live. It was wonderful and unexpected!
That and almost right afterward the Dino Costume deflated on stage and after an emotional song danny cracked tf up
It was so good! I'm almost not kidding when I say it was akin to a religious experience.
Someone probably asked:
"How the hell do we make a video that compares with Arin's animation without looking like we're showing him up?"
Someone then answered:
"What if we didn't even try and just wear doofy costumes and fuck around Brent's pool with all our friends?"
Whoever said that is my hero.
I felt ascended at 2:24 when the orchestra came in, I swear
the fact that Ethan, crankgameplays himself, directed this video, fills me with joy, determination and warms my heart for some reason idk
The genius in this ending is that the notes of the last "Laser Party" are actually the same as the end of the motif from "Welcome to Jurassic Park." Gotta love a good old fashioned Jurassic Park reference
I’d expect nothing less from Danny Stegosaurus Sexbang and Ninja Brontosaurus Brian.
💚😁😁💚
They actually played something similar to this version in their concerts! We all turned on our flashlights like lighters in the crowd and sang along, it was a very sweet experience. I'm glad this is the route they went for the level up 😊❤
I was just thinking about this!!!
That happened at their concert in Minnesota!
Same when I saw them in Dallas
The ballad style honestly works perfect for this song. This was the 1st, and probably a lot of people's 1st NSP song, and have a lot of significance with this song. When I saw this live back in 2017 it was probably one of the most magical moments I had ever witnessed.
@@MichaelMegaX yes it is for me me at least. Definitely was my first
As weird as it is, I got a tiny bit emotional because the first version on this song was my first time hearing nsp, and now hearing this one I am just so excited and happy to see where they are now.
once apon a time ago Danny said "we need a song about a phoenix to complete the trifecta of the 3 most popular mythical creatures" might i offer the title "Rising like the Phoenix (for round two)"
So excited that this was directed by Ethan!! He's grown so much as a creator and this is phenomenal
I didn't even know he was doing directing these days
I'm so proud of our Eef!!
Ngl, wasn't a big fan when I first heard it since it was such a major tone change from the original. But after a couple listens, and thinking about how influential this song was in making NSP and Game Grumps the big names they are today, I can say that I love this remaster of the song, and can't wait for the 22nd!
Edit: I realized that this song is the last song in the entire album, which makes it even better imo. A powerful song about dinosaurs fighting with lasers in space to close out another fantastic album.
These are my feelings exactly. During the initial listen I was waiting for TWRP to come in and start rocking, but it never happened. After subsequent listens I realized this was the best way they could do a tribute to the song that saved their careers
I think this version works way better, and is way funnier too. If you play this to someone who doesn't speak english they'll probably think it's a tender love ballad. But then the lyrics are total nonsense like it was written by a 5-year old. That thought alone makes me like this version more. It also gives them a slower, quieter song to pace out live sets.
@@bartholen this. I love this.
This is the version they play live (at least when I saw them)
So the arrangement wasn't new to me. Kinda wanted to hear the original arrangement with TWRP but I do still love this version.
Especially "aroo. pchoo, pchoo"
@@RandomGeekNamedBrent A little while ago when they did a Live stream show they did this version and I loved it! I'm so glad it's on an album now.
Level Up has been out for an hour and a half. I have listened to this song 43 times so far.
I feel the same. While I do love every song that was remastered on this album, I just love how absolutely beautiful Dinosaur Laser Fight sounds. It's definitely my favorite as well!
why am I crying?
this is a beautiful masterpiece, and I don't have enough words for how much I love it
The Bowie lightening bolt is perfection. Also I don't know why but just seeing everyone playing and having fun together warms my heart. Especially Ross. I've got the biggest soft spot for him
Ross is best boy. Confirmed.
The fact that such a gorgeous melody and production is in the service of lyrics that are so wonderfully dumb. It's what I love about NSP
After listening I am in tears. I am so happy and so proud of how far everyone has come since the making of this video. Words cannot express how amazing this was
@Crankgameplays I see that director credit you freaking madlad. Fantastic work.
Also, after watching this and the original again after months, I am suddenly overwhelmed with the emotional weight of this remaster and all that it stands for. A testament to the strength and endurance NSP has had throughout the years and how much you've grown. I'm so excited to see you grow even more into the future.
This genuine reboot of Dinosaur Laser Fight has got my mind racing on how the other tracks might be a little different but awesome in their own way.
I’m glad, since now all the tracks will have a necessary place on my NSP and STARBOMB playlist 😆!
Imagine if they did another Level Up alb Starbomb edition and it's just the best songs from the first 2 starbomb albums
I'm so much more hyped for the Level Up album than I was previously. Rock FUCK!
@@sethpiper648 They could call it Starbomb: New Game+
@@alon9328 I fucking like your thinking
This is more how they perform Dinosaur Laser Fight at concerts so I’m glad to have an official recording of it
This...is not the direction I expected them to take with this song.
And it's very cool that some of these Level Up versions aren't just going to be the same song, but with better instrument playing. This is just an alternate version of a song that ended up changing Dan and Brian's (don't forget Ninjab Rian!) lives. Also Arin too. He's cool as well.
They did something similar with the live version of this song
“Travel back in time with me and Ninja Brian” I felt that ❤️
Idk why but when I listen to this song I imagine a father watching his kids play in the backyard and he just starts reminiscing about his youth and the fun he had as a kid too
This solo piano style is how they played it live last time I saw them! Transformed it into a touching, full participation,sing-a-long that served as a testament to the legacy of our boys! 💜
The fact that they got ross into a dinosaur suit is just priceless. I needed this video^^
god this is so good, i feel like the choice to make comedy music means you know you can do whatever you want, so your creativity is unlimited!!!
I love how everyone's in costume but then Alpharad's just there like 🧍♂️
Wasn't sure about this slow version of the song at first but it really makes both versions their own piece to listen to.
They played it like the at then10th anniversary concert in Chicago and it was thw most beautiful thing I've ever heard in my entire life
This is how they play it live.
Now playing: The Ballad of the Dinosaur Laser Fight
God the more somber take on the piano for this song managed to make me even more nostalgic than i already was hearing this song
I find this cute and hilarious at the same time for some reason.
This has been my husband's and my's song for 7 years and I finally have a version I can play on piano and brag to people about. Right before I tell them the name. And start singing.
Where was this version for y'all to dance to at your wedding?
I love how Danny and Brian have handled this song. This song is precious, both to them and us, so running the risk of upstaging it by amping it up with the help of TWRP, like with 6969, wouldn’t feel quite right. The way I see it, this rendition serves to pay homage to and appreciate the original version. Great job you guys! Can’t wait for the full album!
This sounds a lot like the version that was played at the international tour!!
"Just ask Albert Einstein, he invented space!"
Ninja Brian: (Briefly contemplates whether this is correct or not, ultimately arriving at the only true conclusion that random batshit crazy murder is more important)
amazing video and song the little “pachoo pachoo” sound Dan makes next to Brian with the laser gun just sent me 🤣. way to go Eef on directing, it turned out great!
Also the little kiss! XD
Not even 5 seconds in
“Directed by Ethan??? Oh my god 🤣”
I was listening to Dinosaur Laser Fight last night and wondered if they would include this in the album and thought “how would they change it up? It’s practically perfect.” I was proven wrong, this is beautiful ♥️
I know its probably very unlikely, but I feel like an NSP or at least Dan Avidan song with David Brian Gilbert/The Altogethers would be such a beautiful internet lovechild that actually would make a lot of sense and work musically super well.
Seeing this live last night was absolutely magical.
I dont think i'll ever be able to get tired of danny's voice, my lord
Same here.
When NSP came to Boston they did a version of this song exactly like this. Makes really really want to go and see you guys again next time you're in the northeast again.
I was there, too. It was a beautiful time.
It was such a great experience. We definitely need to have you guys back over here in the East
Oh man, ever since I caught you live I've hoped you'd release this version.
The First NSP song I heard was Dinosaur Laser Party. It's what made me a fan, and I've been following since just before the first album got released. I fell off after the first Under the Covers. I'm glad this song popped up on my feed today, I think I'm gonna have a nice nostalgia trip for the next few days.
I did not expect a song getting slowed down would make it sound so god damn majestic. Love it
They played this version live a couple years back and I’m so happy they’ve recorded it!
Yes! I loved this slowed down!
One of my favorite parts of NSP live shows is singing along to this, I'm so glad there's a recorded version now
Danny saying p'chew p'chew with a laser gun melts my heart
Everyone jumping in the pool in various costumes is now my computer background because that was epic
I remember a friend showing this to our Marine Biology teacher in college. We were expecting them to not like it but they fell in love with song and NSP. Greatest moment, glad this song leveled up to bring back that memory.
I’m majoring in marine biology right now
@@STANK_THE_SHITTIEST_CHANNEL Dope! I hope you enjoy and learn a bunch. Hopefully, you can find some ancient shark lazer fights or something in your findings. Would be cool to know :D

Congrats Ethan, what an amazing project to see how you've progressed. I hope to see more directing from you in the future! And of course, amazing performances all around, great arrangement. Thank you for this treat, to all involved
I REALLY needed this, things have been rough. Not super bad, but rough but you guys and GG help out a LOT! as well as the other viewers on here and on GG, You guys are VERY much appreciated on both channels in my opinion
I remember, years ago being on a huge EgoRaptor kick (i know,, who's that?) and just watching any animation i could. When one video he talked about doing animation for a band called Ninja Sex Party. I watched it, discovered NSP, and listened to every song they did that night. And continued to do so the past 11 years. Keep rocking out Danny, and Ninja Brian.
Ethan really gave this exactly the right vibe--half art, half cast party.
You can hear how much Dan has worked to improve his singing voice since the original, it's incredible to have this gift
I love how Danny is just singing angelically while Brian is mass murdering people with lasers and drowning them 2:37
It's so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes
My weary soul needed this, guys. Thank you 💕
I didn't know what to expect but it definitely wasn't something this soulful. I loved it.
ALSO, ALPHARAD!!!
What in the world…I loved the original but this…this is a whole other level of amazing. 10/10, will be listening until the end of time
Same! Really surprised me but it was an absolutely amazing surprise!😍😍😍😍
The Level Up 6969 was like an enhanced version, I might listen to it over the original now.
But this? This is like a whole new experience. I need both in my life.
You guys have come so far you've started covering your own songs! So proud to be a fan of yours!! Keep doin what you love!
So much nostalgia, It's all coming back...
This strangly got a lot more sad sounding, and it makes me extremely nostalgic for older days.
“Dr. Sexbang?
Did this actually happen?”
“ *yeah* “
I love the growth of NSP. I've been listening to them ever since 2014. It's amazing to see them become incredible musicians and for Danny to improve his singing skills. No matter what I will love NSP for all time.
I always loved when they played this version of this song at their lives shows. Such a silly song sung with such emotion brings a tear to my eye.
