From all the artists at Apartment D: This was a mega fun rollercoaster to animate, we hope you all dig it!! ⚡
Astronomical amount of work went into this. You crazy bastards!
You guys carried the fuck yeah all the way. This is absolutely beautiful and my new favorite 8 minutes of stop motion work from all time
I can't begin to imagine how much love and effort went into this! So awesome!
ITS AMAZING THANK YOU!!!!!
You all did a PHENOMENAL JOB!! Thank you for your work on this, to everyone who helped! ♥♥
This feels like it should be on Adult Swim in 2004, in the best way possible.
Very Moral Orel, yes
Chill out, what ya yellin' for? Lay back, it's all been done before. And if you could only let it be, you will see that I am the funniest YouT*ber of all time. Admit it, my dear follow*r coda

The kinda MTV video you'd see if you stayed half-awake past midnight during a flu
And years later, you'd question its existence, since it was amazing.
@@BierBart12 i know exactly what you mean 👌
What gets me, is that MTV pulled off like... 4 spinoff channels. Each intended to be music only in the beginning, but then changing when they realized they got better ratings from bad reality TV shows. Every time.
Funny that you mention that, since Dan said during the Game Grumps Super Metroid playthrough that he hates MTV.
Yes had MTV just continued to be racist music lovers what could the music world be to this day
I absolutely love 7:43 where Dan is signing the numbers 6 and 9 in ASL. Not sure if that's intentional or not but I totally noticed and appreciated the inclusion

He's credited as "additional vocals" so is it actually him?
Same, and some of the lines don't have that same rockin' vibe to them but hey, this version is just as dope
@@Kae.the.Selkie I think he was one of the overdubs for the Evil Overlord. There was Michael Starr's voice in there and Arin is the deeper voice
I also miss News Reporter Mark.
@@Kae.the.Selkie No, that's the lead singer of Steel Panther I believe. Arin's voice contributions are just the intro as far as I know.
I always loved the headcanon that through Danny and Brian's inspiring examples, Kristen becomes the badass empress of the newly sexy earth.
Now it is not even headcanon anymore that is exactly what is going down here.
I thought her name was Katie
@@JOELDSDLR Yes, Kristen Katie Darling De La Tetasrockean is a long name so her friends usually just call her by her first or second name.

I love how they showed us the making of in the credits, it's done so well its easy to forget each one of these were handmade puppets painstakingly animated frame by frame

This shit was incredible, but the thing that killed me was that split second flash of Dan’s face at the very very end. Especially because I know EXACTLY what power hour episode it’s from.
I remember when the original came out, still an absolute banger
Just like Danny
Honestly wasn’t sure how much they could improve on the original. But yet, they did it.
I prefer the original simply coss Brian's acting at "people wave at each other from a respectable distance" was too good. Although this one has it's charm as well simply because of that space viking girl
@@tafferchuck1349 I mean that’s totally fair. I loved the live acting in the original. (And their older stuff) Especially the continued use of the Danny dolls for stunts. That always gets me.
@@mystikpahndah1847 I like this version of the song more, but the original video is better.
I love that Danny is signing "6-9-6-9" in ASL near the end, in fact there are so many little touches just make this a spectacular experience!
Holy shit I didn't catch that! I wonder if one of the artists that worked on the animation is Deaf or if the animation studio is just super progressive, cause that's an insane level of detail. New head canon: Danny Sexbang knows ASL solely so he's able to attempt wooing Deaf girls, and in this apocalyptic hellscape of anti-sex, Kristin was a Deaf girl that Danny just happened to fall for. I have no evidence of the last half of this headcanon and a lot of evidence against it, but I'm standing by it. Because while Danny Sexbang is presented as a pathetic, sex-crazed loser sometimes, deep down I think he's a sweetheart suffering from a serious case of Toxic Masculinity.
HECK YEAH!! So glad you noticed! A large portion of our team went to a school with a big deaf/hard of hearing population, so we wanted to add in some ASL!
@@apartmentdfilms Hell yeah! My partner and I use ASL when we go nonverbal (autism) and I noticed it and we were both so happy! That little touch made our days, thank yall!!!

This is my favorite Evangelion timeline, where the instrumentality project is just Danny causing a massive global orgy. But seriously, absolutely love this remastered version and can't wait to see more of ApartmentD's work!! Wonderful job to all

Okay, but not enough people are talking about how Apartment D absolutely knocked it out of the park with the animation!
Idk what comments you are looking at. All i see are praise
I like how they showed a “making of the video” at the end. That team was dedicated as fuck!
Everyone talking about callbacks, I haven’t seen the anyone talk about Danny’s ship playing the guitar solo on a bass at the end
The ship is also left handed
It's Danny's bass!
Yeah that's been a running gag forever lmao.
The animator who did that shot (also named Danny) actually plays guitar, and reverse engineered the robot-hand positions based on the music. It totally blew our minds during the shoot!
I cannot believe that Google put two commercials IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS MASTERPIECE OF A SONG AND VIDEO LIKE WHAT THE HECK LET ME ENJOY THIS PIECE OF ART
I love all of the little details Apartment D added to this video - Lamar the dinosaur in the time travel tunnel, the 'nut' button, the inclusive couples, and the cute-yet-evil redesigns of the Dick Elders. I wasn't sure if this version would stack up against the original but I'm so glad I took the chance - and I'm so glad they remade it. So much love and care was put into this video and song, you all did amazing!!
Danny and Brian weren’t kidding about the Level Up version of this song, it’s so fucking good and just amps up the awesomeness of the original and I still love the “I know it’s most unusual for us to come before you so” line in reference/homage to Rush’s 2112
Not to mention the title and the "Let the banners be unfurled" line. This song is half sex ballad, half Rush tribute.
When NSP references other songs in theirs it makes me so fucking happy, like the Pink Floyd reference in The Mystic Crystal
@@dylanmcintyre0502 Yeah, but can you remind me what the Floyd reference was again? It's been awhile since I watched the video for Mystic Crystal so I most likely just forget what it was

The beautiful voice of Michael Starr from steel panther is calling for those alarms!
I didn't think it was possible, but mad props to TWRP for making this track even sexier
I was gonna say EXACTLY this.
Everything TWRP touches turns to funk-rock gold, this is everything I ever wanted
The funk transcends life, death, color creed, genre and gender.
Accurate.
Love the fact that Danny uses ASL to sign "6969" makes me happy
I think what impresses me most is that this song is not only hilarious but genuinely slaps. Like, just the instrumental parts are genuinely in the same realm as the great 80s metal bands with a hint of Rush (which I know is the whole point, but they succeed).

i dunno if im giving apartment D too much credit, but I'm 96% confident that they gave dannys model the 'weird short thumbs'. If you pause at 1:40 and 3:13 , you can notice ninja brian has slightly longer thumbs than dan. And I'd even that Kristen/Katie has long thumbs too if you pause at 4:49. Proving my theory that apartment D took that extra bit of detail and made sure it was consistent.
I like how the remaster of this song actually makes it more like other rock epics where the different “sections” feel like different songs that blend in with each other, like where Dan and Kristen make love for the first time. Nice touch!

This feels fuckin' even more epic. Can't wait for the rest of the album.
Out of all the anime references, the Outlaw Star ones are the ones I appreciate the most
Listening to this makes me cry, not because the lyrics touched me or anything but because Danny is having so much fun singing. My man is living his goddamn dream.
The animation is amazing throughout (those Dick Elder designs), but I especially love how the ship was given character and personality, even as an extension of Danny. It's a real testament to the talent of Apartment D to have an inanimate object have such life.
I love how the song’s premise is nuts but it’s actually a masterfully constructed rock-opera. 🤘That harmony in the last section paired with the guitar is amazing
Honestly the level up videos have made me so happy, I love all these songs but the videos and audio were kinda dated. It's like all the fun of the original songs got punched up a bit and I just love it a lot.
Apartment D rocked it. Also just noticed at the end their dial went up to 11 out of a possible 5. Can't believe I missed this until now.
I honestly cannot even comprehend how this was possible? This is so intricate and the imagery was really fantastic! Really fantastic work to everyone who worked on this, you knocked it out of the park!
As much as I love the original this blows it out of the water 10fold
Lmao the original took years to make
It's called "animation"
Can we just appreciate for a second how well the animators pulled off an insane amount of work
I’ve never seen a fast paced action scene like the Brian one at the end. Epic job Apartment D! You did Ninja Brian justice!
It wasn't until the ship grew arms that I realized...Danny is dressed like Gene from Outlaw Star..and I loved this animation even more!
