Kubo Reveals NEW DETAILS on Senjumaru's Past, Royd & Loyd's TRUE POWER + More! | Klub Outside Q&A

What do you think of these latest Klub Outside reveals? Does this change how Royd and Loyd should've been used in the first invasion? Are they more powerful than you previously thought? And what do you think about this unofficial gang of inventors led by Senjumaru? Let me know your thoughts!
Something I want to know is how captains show eachother their bankai. If they show it in the presence of the other captains, surely characters like Shinji and Kuruyashiki would've ended up killing loads of people at once.
Unless of course their zanpakuto actively tells them to not use their ability cause they're going to kill the others but then Aizen could've done something similar and just said that. Senjumaru would also probably have a similar issue.
Even if for someone like Shinji could show it off against hollows, kuruyashiki has no such way on controlling or showing his Bankai in a safe space. Is there an unknown and infinitely large space the Soul society has that's never revealed or something??
Hello, i know that you mostly use Msadows translations from fanverse for older q/a. But they skip some questions, i and my friends making a full list of those q/a . We got 1-280 so far , in our native language, but it easily be translated in English . We believe that Mshadow skipped many q/a that you might find interesting.
So , if you want we could share, we love your content so it’s our pleasure to do so)
It's a smart bandaid for the Royd/Loyd situation. IIRC the anime left out the manga's explanation that differentiated their powers, but I could be misremembering that. I think this is a solution that makes everyone happy.
I honestly dont like the explanation. I always figured that Lloyd's Shrift was split apart because it was given to twins, and then upon the one twin's death, the "full power" of the Shrift transferred to the fake Yuha, making him as strong as real Yuha in that moment. Who then proceeds to body Kenpachi and battle Yamamoto.
Which is stronger dangai ichigo or ichigo with full bring
Knowing the power difference between Yammamoto Yhwach and the copy does also perfectly show why Yammamoto isn't included in the special threats. The threats aren't simply people who can stop him they are threats he can't fully predict. He knows Yammamoto can kill him but he has a full plan in place to defeat him therefore there is no unpredictability.
Yhwach literally says why he isn't a special threat. What?
@@toshiro-kano yes, and dbztranks explains why that is the case.
This is so wrong but ok💀
Nobody is a threat to Yhwach unless his eyes are closed lmao.
The fact that Royd was using 80 percent of Ywach’s power and Yamamoto manages to beat him shows a new perspective of just how strong Ywach and Yamamoto are. Also Ichigo because he was technically holding his own and did some decent damage. It also explains why ichigo was moved up to NUMBAH 1 in the special war power
Further reinforces the fact that Yhwach made clear that "*none* of his subordinates was strong enough to control Yamamoto's Bankai"
Wasn’t Ywach technically nerfed at the beginning of the war having shared his power with 20 other subordinates? Royd was using 80% of a fraction of Yhwach’s true strength
is not the 80% your thinking of, its Bleach 80%
go look up the Original Databook on Captain Power level, is practically the difference between Toshiro and Yamamoto.
@@purewhiteloverbizarrejellyI’m not sure if it’s ever stated or even implied that Yhwach gets weaker when he grants someone their Schrift. It’s possible that he might just give people power to take it away when they die either in battle or to his Auswählen.
@@wdadwdwdwadw8604 he still was near as strong or maybe even stronger than the Real Yhwach 1000 years ago or he wouldn't have fooled Yama for long
and that nerf was never really lifted until at the very end when he absorbed Gerard and Hashwalth (plus Liltotto and Giselle survived and outlived Yhwach so not even then)
that being said it could also be that Royd could control how much of a person's power he could copy
if this isn't the case then Kubo just said
Royd>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gremmy
because if Royd can copy any version Yhwach
but Gremmy can't even copy a Zaraki who can't cut the core of the Gerard who was just a part of a group of 6 that Yhwach empowered later on then it's pretty clear that Royd is copying much more power than Gremmy could hold in his body no matter how nerfed base Yhwach is
Just because you can copy someone's power to 100%, doesn't mean that you can safely use it. Just look at Gremmy vs Kenpachi. If Royd had copied Yamamoto, then it's entirely possible that he would he destroyed himself.
not really. w gremmy, he only imagined the power and not the overall make up of Ken. and also it's not about controlling, it seems it's more about reastu and being able to have that innate power to control that certain bankai.
he probably would have survived since he copies everything in front of your eyes so even the history of the person who they copied from
Yeah, kind of like Shirou Emiya from fate in that regard.
Also Loyd and Royd does have the luxury of copying their target's body as well.
This was explained by Aizen its called potential Reiryoku limit
characters are born with this and the only two known ways of breaking it is either becoming Transcendent like Aizen did
or crossbreeding a soul through Hougyoku wich has been known to expand the limits it comes from since birth
so imo Royd can control the amount of power he is copying from the other person
either that or Royd is clearly much stronger than Gremmy since Gremmy failed to copy Zaraki Royd is copying Yhwach's power
the reason i lean more to Royd not being able to copy Yhwach's power to even 70% is that if Royd can copy Yhwach's 70% and control that power then he should also be capable of stealing Yamamoto's Bankai wich Yhwach himself clarified that only he could do in all the Vandenreich
Too be fair, even Kenpachi can't use 100% of his own power.
Gremmy is the perfect example of this
One problem of perfectly copying power and not memories could be that while you might get the same power as say Kenpachi, you won't be as skilled of using that power. So even if Kenpachi was fighting a clone that was as powerful as he was, with his experience and being able to adapt he would be able to win.
And depending how "70-80%" of copying memories work, using strong skills and abilities might be dangerous. Imagine using Yamamoto's bankai, but not quite knowing how to shield yourself from extreme heat. Or copying Barraggan's Respira, and unfortunately killing yourself, because you failed to isolate your own body from the effect.
Basically the power of something but not knowing how to use it properly. If thats the case, then just copy ichigo. The guy just spams getsuga tensho and his power is strong.
Im assuming the older copies power but not the skills of someone since they lacked the memories.
@@flamestorm31 im guessing that the brothers need to be in front of the person they are copying, this can also explain why they didn't copy yamamoto since they either just didn't have the chance to or there was a chance yamamoto would wipe the brother before they finish copying like kenpachi would have.
Kubo defined “memory” in terms of an important aspect of combat potential during the Byakuya vs. Tsukishima fight. I think that’s how you have to look at what he means when he says neither power nor memory alone is much use.
In this way, “memory” is the complete effect of training on your brain and “power” is the complete effect of training on your body. One without the other is useless. If you can suddenly use Zanka no Tachi but have no memory of the individual techniques or how to use them, what good is that? It’s like giving a caveman a flame thrower. You can figure out how to use it but you’ll probably die before you do.
Also keep in mind that Kubo said the Lloyd brothers could “perfectly” copy their respective specialties, so it just meant that they each had a latent specialty and focused on that in their training. I always thought that it implied that they both had the same abilities but different specialties. I think Kubo’s answer validated that for me.
I honestly have a lot to say on this subject because it seems like my head canon around this particular issue was correct. Maybe I’m projecting. But good job MrTommo, you always get me thinking, but this video did to the extent I had to drop this long, disjointed, rambling comment because I just HAD to join the discussion. Keep up the good work, you’re winning with your channel 🥇
I’m glad Kubo clarified on how the Lloyd twins powers actually work. One thing I never understood is how Kenpachi was able to beat Lloyd with little difficulty who can copy appearance and power and then get bodied by Royd who copies appearance and memories. It was hard to imagine that one twin who couldn’t copy power was able to completely demolish a no eyepatch Kenpachi with no difficulty. Now after learning that he copied 70-80% of Yhwach’s power, it just makes way more sense how he easily beat Kenpachi and how he survived against Yamamoto’s Bankai for as long as he did and how he held his own against Yamamoto’s Shikai in the anime.
Agreed.
We also still can’t rule out the possibility that Haschwalth’s innate ability to give each Quincy a power boost still comes into play out. After all, in order to make sure the facade works well, Ywach must’ve order Haschwalth to stay by Royd, otherwise Yamamoto would notice something was off
He only survived that long because Yama wanted him to
@@residentevil2928 This. Yamamoto purposefully toyed with "yhwach" to make him suffer. At any point yamamoto could have just used west and north and ended the fight instantly.
How can he copy 80% of Yhwach’s power if we literally just said that he can’t copy power??
I absolutely love the random questions like the one about the squad 9 floor repair bill. It’s just good fun and I’m sure Kubo has fun answering them.
13:58 If he didn't pick Royd Yamamoto may not have been fooled to believe that wasn't Yhwach. A clone with a 100% of Yhwach memories and 80% strength would be much harder to spot than one with 80% memories and 100% strength.
Exactly. Yama doesn't know the exact power level of Yhwach after a 1000 years, but if he started acting uncharacteristically he might start to get suspicious.
Rina Satou (a.k.a Chabashira-sensei from Classroom of the Elite and Misaka Mikoto from Certain Magical Index) is amazing as the voice of Senjumaru. Her voice matches Senjumaru's demeanor perfectly: graceful and elegant, yet surrounded by a cold, menacing aura.
It’s likely that the Loyd brothers can’t remain transformed forever so if one of them copied someone strong enough to control Yama’s Bankai they would lose control over it when they turned to normal
Also, does Loid copy the Bankai if he copies Yama's power? I'd say not, and even then, if the Bankai is added onto that, could he still take it?
This is exactly what I was thinking. I’m glad someone says it
That's actually an incredibly big question. If you want to learn the inner workings of an organization, finding out who pays for who when someone screws up tells you a lot about the hierarchy both officially and unofficially, the actual beurocracy, and potential strengths and weaknesses after the TYBW.
I remember how I felt when I read the manga for the first time and got to the first invasion. My heart sank when it was revealed that Yama’s fight was against a fake. It was actually really sobering to see such a strong character get done so dirty.
Then again, considering past events, it was pretty karmic.
I was unable to get emotionally invested in yamamoto's death cause it was kind of forced , he loses his bankai and makes this " oh crap " face like he's completely powerless , when he still has his very powerful shikai and kido , which could have at least provided defense if not offense against ywach . Long story short , yama's death was rushed and a similar case was with byakuya and as nodt .
If it weren't for Royd we wouldn't even see a fight, Yhwach would steal his Bankai exactly like he did when he showed up.
@@bqw2094 no it wasn't, Yama was done after using Bankai, he couldn't do anything after it was stolen, he just accepted his defeat.
@@Rizingfz08 not exactly, if yamato at full power fought ywach without any royd shape-shifting shenanigans, yamamoto would have gotten some licks in with zanka no tachi . Ywach said he had to let yam use tye full bankai before he can absorb it .he couldn't just steal it right away .
@@Rizingfz08 which is bullshit , he wasn't injured and he still had his shikai ( which is pretty op ) and kido . And please don't give me any " he was emotionally defeated" nonsense .
Honestly, the disrespect for Hisagi, he was always one of my favorite characters. Dude was a badass.
True, i've always wanted him to fight a fair (no awkward hax) sternritter, like T or O
If Kisuke & Mayuri did work together in this supposed unofficial group of "thinkers and tinkerers" under Senjumaru, then Mayuri obviously did something to be imprisoned. Because not only was Kisuk allowed to roam free, but so too was Senjumaru (even going so far as become a a "Zero Squad" member herself). And given what we've seen of Mayuri, it's obviously because he's too much of a "mad scientist".
One thing I never hear mentioned when it comes to the zero divisions power is that they would be definitely gotten a boost to their power by becoming part of the royal guard. Having an oken inside of them, going through the various boosts that ichigo, renji, etc went through, and the rest, would multiply their powers alot. I don't think they were all dimension shattering before going up there. Yamamotos power without any zero squad training amp is an absolute testament to his abilities.
Perhaps ichibeis physical power and such was closer to yamamotos then we thought, but his hax and knowledge was just soooo much higher.
This is what I believe, if Yamamoto had an Oken boost, he would be a monster, forget shaking the world, he might be able to burn it down.
Well yama said no one stronger was born in 1000 years and most of squad zero predates 1000 years. Considering squad zero invented zanpakuto and healing kido, easy to believe they are older and stronger. Minus hikifune MAYBE
@@floppa731I highly doubt any of them are on par with Yamamoto. The only one I can say that’s about the same is Ichibei
Squad 0 bankais risk several dimensions, Yamamoto only risks the soul society@@kelechin.1977
Since the yourself flashback was deleted I believed it was done to take out controversy but the new answer does it better.
Hisagi being forced to pay for damages like that is such a petty slap in the face yet still funny. Regarding damages it may fall to the paid workforce of the Rukon to settle that just as they are with the rest of Soul Society's. In that context Sunsui may cover it since he's initiated these changes especially after hostilities.
It is indeed pretty amusing, it is nice that Kubo can show of his sense of humor at times with these Q&A's. Him stating that Kukkapuro is still alive after the Quincy invaded Hueco Mundo because he himself now owns a dog, is both funny and wholesome.
@@jrgenvellesen7800 Truth. That was quite the telling revelation that ties into his real life lore. Makes you wonder how many Hollows survived the Quincy onslaught besides the ones we know.
I think that it's not impossible that Urahara is Senjumaru's son. They both uses thread-based powers, she resembles his bankai, and it would explain a couple holes in his history. He was brought up by the Shihoin clan, despite not being a royal, which is something that I could see happening if he were related to a Zero Squad member. Also, his personality highly resembles Nimaya's, and he has seen both Kiriniji's hot springs and the Soul King. Finally, when he projects from Kon in the Zero Squad intro scene, he greets Ichigo, the captains, and the Zero Squad with "It's good to see you all again" which most people think was referring to Ichigo and the captains--what if he was referring to all of them, as he had known the Zero Squad as well.
I think that Urahara may have been born in the palace, where he observed things as a child, before being sent down to the Serietei in his teenage years.
those aren't holes tho...
why is everyone theorizing that everyone in the series is born from some other character just because they share a similar trait or two
@@skippi99r32 probably because Kubo confirmed how similar abilities are inherited, kinda like how each great clan in jjk has a unique CT.
edit: so I guess you could theorize that Rose and Kisuke are probably related to Shutara in some way.
Something like that, but I get you. It won't be long before people start saying Shunsui is descended from Osho because of his Zanpakutou having the darkness element and the law/fate manipulation aspect of it.
@@revenantronin8377Yeah, definitive abilities like Getsuga Tensho. Not vaguely "this looks like that move, kind of" line of thinking. Even Both Isshin and Ichigo's Getsuga Tensho's are different in appearance and mechanically.
@D-Havoc yeah. Ishhin's is more like a close up explosion of power
The consistency of your drops is crazy. Also not to be that guy but the street need the Mayuri character analysis.

No wonder Senjumaru said to Ywhach "defeating Yamaji has really entered into your mind"😅Yama was different respect the G
Sure, if by "different" you mean "irrelevant compared to eyes open Yhwach like everybody else"
@@ExtraVictory plot bro plot
@@unassumingnob3738 blame kubo if you dont like that he made _literally_ everyone fodder compared to almighty Yhwach lmao
If you wanna get real nitty gritty its the "perfectly" that makes Kubo's answer feel like such a "duh, I should have figured" kind of answer. If something is specified as perfect it tends to overshadow anything else, but it doesn't eliminate the other factors either. Still, in explanations we skip it. "He copies this, he copies that." We had physical evidence they copied both, we were just blinded by that shiny perfect.
Its because having 100 percent of Yhwach's memories would make him a better imposter that Yamamoto would believe
Bingo. The mission was to stall and tire out Yama until Yhwach got back from talking with Aizen. The body double couldn't be half-assed.
@@Caidezes also how insanely strong must Royd be. let's say he only mimicked Ywach's memories, he took out Zaraki with ease.
Agreed. One little slip on Royd's end and Yamamoto would likely had caught on much sooner.
Also, if we assume Bankai Yama>Pre-Auswahlen Yhwach, then it makes more sense for Yhwach to want Yama tired out first before he attempts to steal his Bankai
Steady content from the GOAT!!!!
My guess is Loyd had more of standing orders, go and copy anyone causing an actual issue. Think of it this way, in the first invasion everyone but Yamamoto was getting their beatdowns, except Kenpachi. A special warpower, who has successfully fended off his attackers and is about to run amok. So it makes sense for him to go and halt this potential issue while the other Stern Ritter mop up their easy pickings.
While it was written that each twin could "perfectly" copy either mind or power, it was never stated that those were the *only* elements they could copy.
Interesting new revelations for the Loyd brothers. Before Kubo’s definitive answer I always had the head-canon belief that Loyd was able to copy abilities and appearance while Royd could mirror their opponent identically. I always thought the copout of Yamamoto not actually facing Ywach could be dampened if, in fact, Royd was a mirror of Ywach himself. Mind, body and all. Almost like Ywach had to use a second life to finally finish off Yama.
Goes to show how right both Aizen and Ywatch were in setting up traps for the old man. Tbh, I feel like Yamamoto using bankai was a bit over kill, and if the stakes weren't too high, then he could've eventually beaten fake Ywatch (Royd) with just his shikai.
Just my two cents ;)
Great vid as always.
Well there was a scene where shikai yamamoto blitz royd loyd when he saved kenpachi so it isnt too farfetched to say that but who knows
It could just be because royd loyd was holding back since he was keeping up with him afterwards
It really puts into perspective what would have happened if Yhwach had fought Yamamoto without that Medallion and using the double to help wear Yamamoto down. Since he didn't have the Almighty unlocked yet, without that medallion and the trickery, Yamamoto likely would have killed the Quincy King.
As another villain once said, "No doubt, in a fair fight you'd beat me...but that's not how I got where I am."
This definitely puts more respect on Yamamoto and the Twins. Glad Kubo cleared this up because it made no sense why Royd was that strong
You can't possibly imagine how cathartic it is to get the answers about The Yourself. Holy fuck it's been messing with me for 10 years.
The research and development squad is so important to have for the soul society.
It makes sense it existed in some shape or form I just didn't think of Mayuri would be working for Senjimaru 😂
I don't think Royd and Loyd were wasted necessarily. For Loyd, if you can only gain roughly 70% - 80% of their mind, you'd want to go for someone who has a more _simplistic_ fighting ability. Because going for a more complex or complicated person like Mayuri would make that missing 30% - 20% of his mind a more fatal flaw. And having him fight Yamamoto would expose something amiss with the lack of recollection of the 1000 year old history between Yhwach and Yamamoto. Yhwach's orders to Royd pretty much reinforces that no one else in the Wandenreich is remotely strong enough to handle Yamamoto as Royd still died without ever being able to land a scratch on the Head-Captain. He was a glorified punchingbag. But a damn good one for the role. Like with my argument on Loyd, that missing 30% - 20% of Yhwach's power is extremely significant at the end of the day.
I don't mind questions like the repair bill. It's funny, it fleshes out more of the relationships of the world of BLEACH than what people give credit to. I just think people don't respect the fact that they don't know more about BLEACH than Kubo, himself. And so they attach themselves more to headcanon, fan theories or another authors' portrayal of some material over the original author. It kills the ability to really appreciate more of the series outside of action scenes, in my opinion.
And we gotta remember that old man was holding back so he didn't destroy the soul society
1) I can only imagine that whatever got Mayuri locked in the Maggot’s Nest was what forced the group of scientists to be disbanded; be that a project he had started by himself or one that they had started together.
I also definitely think that Urahara was a part of this group, as he and Mayuri were on a first name basis when we see Urahara recruit him.
2) As for why Yhwach didn’t have Loyd copy Yhwach instead of Royd; I think it’s well within Yhwach’s character to simply not allow a Sternritter to copy 100% of his power, as he’d see it as a potential threat and basically blasphemy against his name
Yeah. Maybe Senjumaru going to Zero Division caused a power struggle within the group that got out of hand and eventually led to Mayuri going to the Maggots Nest only to be guarded by the person that was probably partially responsible for putting him there.
That, and this whole plan's real purpose was just to personally break Yamamoto and Soul Society out of spite. Royd was just a pawn in that game.
I love that you’re actually giving any time to that 3rd question - can you create a super cut of all these mundane Answers Kubo gives and release it on April 1st?
mun·dane
/ˌmənˈdān/
adjective
1.
lacking interest or excitement; dull.
"seeking a way out of his mundane, humdrum existence".
No question is mundane. Kubo draws and fans has questions.
Thank you so much for finally explaining this Royd and Loyd confusion
17:50 This is why the anime made Royd & Loyd's power more ambiguous in the anime due to hindsight, as its left more up to the viewers on the powers potrayed. However its shown that the copies are inferior to the original ones, so you could technically say Royd was potentially schutzstaffel level strong (hidden weapon) at that moment and limited to spiritual power in achiving its full potential.
Interesting answers, I guess I was always under the impression that during the Yhwach (Royd) battles with Kenpachi and Yamamoto was him being boosted by Jugram Haschwalth based on his abilities that were revealed later on during the arc. And in regards to the comparisons of what is the better ability, 100% Copying a Person's Powers and Skills or Copying a Person's Memories and Mind and only copying around three-quarters of the other respectively would vary based on who was being copied. Sure being able to Mimic the Powers and Skills fully sounds great but without the experience and mental wherewithal to apply the use of said skills then you'd more than likely not be able to utilize all that potential to it's fullest. I think the simplest answer to the "Hisagi will pay for it" question is the fact that if Squad 12 ignores the bill and Squad 1 decides this isn't worth their time, then Kensei would more than like just go, "Well I guess we got a hole now!" Essentially trying to trick somebody around to fix the damage themselves, and that person is ultimately Shuhei.
Did anyone asked kubo about how strong dangai/mugetsu was in comparison to true bankai, I guess that's something people should definitely ask as I see this being brought up until this day.
I wonder if the unofficial research group before its official establishment was related to the Shihouin clan, considering that people like Yoruichi and Kisuke always had interest in inventions especially when the House of Shihouin keeps many interesting relics and equipments.
It's the gift that keeps on giving!🎉
The reason why the Royd brothers were not used to copy yamamoto/ywbach is becuz ywbach is afraid the royd brothers may turn their backs on him. Too much power is scary indeed
Never really realised that Senjumaru knowing Mayuri implicate her quite late introduction to squad zero. Since she made clothes of shinigami that they had during first war with quincies I thought she was promoted around that time. Now this open for me possibility of Tenjiro also being promoted during Kisuke and Mayuri life which could explain how he said that Kisuke was aware of his healing hot spring and mimic it power without having Kisuke to visit Royal Palace. On the other hand this makes squad zero weird again. Like before Mayuri was alive was there only 3 members? And with Tenjiro thing mayby just Ichibei and Oh-Etsu? Or mayby Kisuke/Mayuri are still like 500 years old or more?
Being invited in Squad Zero is something that happens once in a few centuries, so i doubt that both Hikifune and Tenjiro were invited at the same time
I just want someone to ask Kubo what Sejumaru was doing during the first invasion. It's clear that she knows Yhwach, seeing how she spoke to him so casually and they're wearing her clothing. So what exactly was her role since she wasn't a part of the original captain line-up. Also, is it that she initially refused the promotion to Squad Zero and that's why she was around later to know Mayuri or did they just promote her extremely late into her years in the Gotei 13(if she was even a captain there)?
I've never considered Senjumaru as a previous Division 12 captain. It'd be strange for both her and Hikifune to have been captains of the 12th.
I always felt Senjumaru fit more within the Second Division--Yoruichi even uses an illusory cloak similar to Senjumaru's during an early encounter with Byakuya.
The security line could easily reflect her capacity as an infiltrator, too.
As soon as I read Kubo’s answer about the Lloyd brothers I thought “This is massive! I wonder what mr Tommo would have to say about this”
Very interesting stuff! Poor Shuhei can't catch a break haha
I'm glad Kubo adressed this,it kinda lines with my speculation on how the Loyds work
Also I always thought there was a time/familiarty compotent to that so the one more familar with Yhwach copied him better.
Regarding the Quincy twins, I think that Kubo simply did not think through the details and logic of using their powers, which is why such questions arise. Since questions immediately arise about copying Henryusai's powers, it is necessary to make restrictions for these powers and everything would fall into place, but this was overlooked.
Bit of a shame how wrong I was about Mayuri and Senjumaru. I really liked the idea of Mayuri being that old. I mean he apparently did know about Yamamoto not having killed Yhwach a 1000 years ago. And with him being imprisoned in the maggot's nest it means he was a shinigami before his imprisonment. I dunno... Just would have fitted so well imo. Especially as Senjumaru herself has also met Yhwach before, presumably back in the first war a 1000 years ago.
Oh well... Anyways, great video as always! :)
Some people were underestimating Yamamoto just koz a fake Yhwach was keeping up with him. But now we know thats not the case and that Yamamoto is actually that strong
Mr.Tommo, I think this has some steam. With the differences between anime and manga. The symbolism in how each shutestoffle members future played out in the manga being foreshadowed in the anime through Senjumaru’s Bankia, can we make some form a fan theory about how squad 0 knew they would lose, and that’s why they used Senjumaru’s Bankai ? In order for her to weave their fate into existence. Super outlandish i know, but it would make squad Zeros contribution to the story that much more epic. I feel It would bring amazing close to the 0 division.
I still got a bunch of questions for Kubo like what are the Schrifts for Sternritter N and K?
How did the heart of the Soul King become sentient?
What are the names each of the Sternritters Vollstandigs that were never revealed?
whats scary about the situation is that one of them told her not to go too far. i always felt that the implication was she was so powerful that she could legitimately challenge for control over the human world, hueco mundo. and soul society. The warning was to remind her of her duty and not go too far in that they are trusting her to later give up the power since after the stern Ritter are defeated, the only person who could potentially challenger her is ichibei at this point, i mean who could resist the power to become god?
I do hope that as this reveals keep continuing, Kubo officially reveals what the N and K were.
Kubo doesn't have an N-schrift pass.
I think Kubo's answer for the twin's abilities not only makes them look more formidable as sternritter but also goes a long way to explaining why they were used the way they were. especially Royd the "Yourself". If the Royd had only fully copied Ywach's power and not his mind then I think that Yama would have become suspicious also if he had stolen Yama's Bankai earlier while he was still enraged the fight would have continued with Yama eventually winning (His Bankai alone is not the only thing that makes him so formidable). The effects of either the suspicion or having his Bankai taken (or both) and still killing Royd Loyd means that while he would be worn down he wouldn't be beaten. Ywach's actual confrontation with him would have been more contested by Yama who wouldn't allow his Bankai to be stolen a second time. it is also my opinion that Royd Loyd wouldn't have been able to successfully control Yama's Bankai whereas Ywach himself I believe could if not as efficiently as Yama himself. It takes more than power or strength to wield a sword. In Royd's hands it would at best be a clumsy blade.
As for Royd's twin who fought Kenpatchi I don't think he had much of an option with who was confronting him. if he hadn't copied Kenny's power fully (I'm assuming reiatsu) then he would have been killed meaning that he copied around 70 to 80% of Ken's mind including his subconscious chains. All Ken had to do was break some of those chains to beat his mirror image. As for who else he (the Loyd twin Ken killed) could have copied I don't think thats super productive in terns of plot or strategy and really I think he saved a lot of his comrades by engaging Ken (after all Ken was a special target). I also don't think he'd have had the opportunity to copy Yama and if were honest none of the other captains could have proved as dangerous as Kenny who killed three sternritter by himself using his sealed Zanpakuto, A feat that even the much older captains (not Unohana) were as far as we know unable to do (most couldn't cut the sternritter with their Shikai). I'm not saying that the other captains are weak its just that Kenpatchi is just that strong in spite of the fact that he had neither a Shikai or Bankai.
These are just my personal thoughts, I loved the video and I particularly love the small details in bleach like the day to day affairs or who has to fit the bill for funny shenanigans'. I am grateful that Kubo made the Bleach manga and I hope he never loses his passion for it!
So it says they can perfectly do so and so. So it's really worded pretty much right
Kubo’s reveal of both the brother’s copy abilities makes so much sense and explains so much. It’s no wonder why Royd was able to beat Kenpachi, even if it was just 70-80% of Ywach’s power. All the memories and experience Royd copied and from the real one allowed him to make use of the power. And in order to make sure to completely fool Yamamoto, what’s not to say that Jugram ability also boost Royd’s power.
The jugram thing makes a lot of sense, finally the second cour and kubo confirmed that the balance is not only dAmAgE ReVeRsInG.
Yeah it makes sense how Royd beat Kenpachi and was able to somewhat fight against Yama now but then it makes Loyd being killed by Kenpachi seem stupid imo. If Loyd can copy 100% of someone's power he should have been stronger than Kenpachi by far because Kenpachi was holding himself back from using all his power but he still had the power which means when Lloyd copied Kenpachi he should have copied Kenpachis full power minus the self restrictions on his power and should have essentially been as strong as Kenpachi becomes after he beat Unohana.
@@donjulio1033 maybe they can only copy the present form at the moment they start to copy power
@@donjulio1033He can clearly only copy how their power is in this moment. Otherwise it would be very silly. Just copy Ichigo and become close to Soul King 2.0.
@@Dragonpuncher123 Yeah but in that case the ability is either silly in that he can copy their full strength or it's useless because the only time it would be useful is copying someone once they have used their full power.
FINALLY VINDICATION TO ME AND OTHERS WHO ALWAYS SAID BASE YHWACH WOULD HAVE GOTTEN STOMPED BY BABKAI YAMAMOTO. SO MANY PEOPLE SAID I WAS WRONG. WELL SUCK IT.
And while my description of how Lloyd's ability worked was somewhat wrong (I always said that because he copies the memories he therefore learns all the learned abilities/trained powers of the person he copied and yhwach boosted his power to match his to make it believable) it wasn't that far off.
God it feels SO GOOD to say "told yuh so 😘"
Think this way, knowing 100% the memorys and mind and 70%-80% of the power give you the ability to use all the secret technics of the person you are coping, having 70%-80% of the mind and memoris and 100% of the power don't, after all you will not know all that is to know about the person you are coping.
7:51 perhaps Kisuke was involved with the inventors' group as an undercover agent, ordered by Yoruichi to infiltrate and expose any potential illegality within. It would explain why he wasn't locked up when it appears that others were. I would also assume that Senjumaru was promoted around the same time, protecting her from prosecution(? what is it called when you're locked up because you might do illegal stuff?)
As a powerscaler, I run into scenarios like the whole situation involving Loyd quite a lot. There's a logical fallacy called the No Limits Fallacy in powerscaling, where it can be easy to assume an ability has no limits just because none were stated.
Especially with abilities where power is a factor, you can't just assume an ability can affect all different levels of power. So the best idea is to make an educated guess about where the limits might be.
The way I see it the best way to scale Loyd's ability is to assume that there is a power cap that would stop him from doing those things even if we don't know exactly where, which is actually supported by the fact that Kenpachi was still able to overpower what was supposed to be a perfect copy.
If this is the case, it also makes sense why he wasn't assigned to copy Yamamoto or Yhwach's powers, which is further supported by Yhwach's statement that only he could have stolen Yamamoto's Bankai.
So essentially it's heavily implied that Loyd's version of The Yourself has a power limit.
He copied zarakis current power, then zaraki got stronger and beat him. That’s the explanation lol. The yourself brothers powers are stupid and kubo bullshitted this explanation that’s all
Mom, dad just posted! Let’s go!
They have two cours left, which is a lot more than you think. I’m confident they’ll really take their time and give us lots of extra material.
I think a good reasoning for it is a mix of Ywatch's pride on wanting to be the one to stop Yamamoto and that he really needed this plan to go flawlessly, and if Loyd messed up on a memory Yamamoto might catch wise and things don't go as planned. If he's just weaker than the real Ywatch, Yamamoto will be more likely to assume he's not at full power still or that he's just that much stronger.
Amazing! Because of this, I am now thinking of an alternate path. Maybe have Royd or Lloyd impersonate Yamamoto after his death and act as head captain for the Gotei 13 for a certain amount of time during the Quincy war
I think it was pretty obvious that both brothers could copy both power and mind. Why? Because despite having this innate power of theirs, they were not counted among the Sternritters that Yhwach didn't actually grant any power to, and whose Schrift was only honorary, such as Pernida or Gerard. That means the "Y" schrift must have added something onto their powers, improving them somehow. And this makes much more sense than just believing Royd was simply so much more powerful than his twin brother, let alone Zaraki all on his own
They had their powers before they were born. Inside their mother's womb copying each other to the point their parent's couldn't tell the difference of the two.
At least they gave him some spotlight against Mask de Masculine
Ah yes, the elusive destroyed floor mystery, finally solved.
something i think is very important to understand
ywhach has alot of power cuz he KNOWS shit
him knowing all that super spell shit rly makes alot of the difference
it goes a long way to know how to fight as ywhach
now that CAN compensate alot for strength
Remember, Yamamoto was only half as strong considering he only had one arm.
These were pretty interesting
for the tid bit regarding the quincy invasion and mayuri, its possible kubo just meant he wasn't anywhere near seireitei yet to know of the details of what happened whilst presumably shutara was present to have seen/met yhwach and maybe also developing her group of scientist and inventors. then as the years passed mayuri eventually became part of shutara's group until the group dissolved due to shuatara being promoted to squad 0 and then he was imprisoned for how unethical he was or he was just caught by the gotei and put into the maggot's nest before shutara got accepted into squad 0, perhaps it was urahara who actually handled his capture.
Mr Tomo always hype. Love the videos as always
I feel like there's more to it then the awnser kubo gave us because the copying of something doesn't mean you have complete mastery's over it once it's been copied
Why would Kisuke and Mayuri having known each other be related to anything other than the fact that Kisuke used to lead the Maggot’s Nest, where Mayuri was held.
I thought it was clear Yamamoto would beat him at the time Thats why Yhwach was biding his time & he was blessed that Yamamoto didnt have two arms
She was promoted to the Zero squad before the first gotei 13 bc those outfits were already made which means she was acknowledged by the soul king already.
Another question (dont know if this was answered somewhere in the past): Do the brothers lose all memories and all powers if they revert to their original state? Especially the knowledge they gain through the copy process. Can they copy multiple people one after another and have all their memories? Can they be used to infiltrate an enemy base (for example as staff member), copy a person who knows the juicy details and return home afterwards?
To make it clear, One Armed Yamamoto with Bankai beats Based Yhwach at 80%. What could be the value of lost arm?
That royd and Lloyd answer is totally something he just made up lol
I like these videos and thank you for covering bleach, I watch often cause I'm on a bleach kick
19:55 thinking about it they must be quite an industry to actually support the 13 squads, I mean think how often the place gets broken and that’s not counting the big events we see in the show.
My head cannon is that ywhach sent roid and loid knowing they would end up dying since Ywhach needs to keep absorbing souls to remain conscious
I believe Kisuke is pretty young(on the scale of Shinigamis), and Mayuri and him knew each other because Kisuke was a guard in his prison, and thus Kisuke probably wasn't a part of the Inventor group.
New Bleach Infos😍 Thank you Kubo🔝 and awesome video MrTommo🔝
Kenpachi was one of the best choice to copy since Kenpachi's 100% full strength does nit fully rely on their "zanpakuto".
Makes a lot more sense now why the Lloyds' little lore flashback was cut in the anime, although perhaps it would have been better had it been left in and just altered a bit to fit Kubo's current canon
Ive always wondered that if Royd had 100% of Ywach’s mind thus knowing all of what Ywach knows including any information kept to himself etc. what kept Royd from using the power for himself. as he would know why they are there, plan of action and intent, and while not having the same power level as Ywach, Hew would know all the techniques and abilities and could possibly improve himself.
Well to answer one of your questions,” why couldn’t they steal yamas bankai” well in that moment while copying Yama or ywach they could steal it or use the bankai but how long can they remain as copies? 10 mins and hour? What if they run out of the time the can remain copies therefor wouldn’t be able to use the stolen bankai at that point.
I wonder when squad zero was founded. While Ichibei and potentially nimaiya may have safeguarded the Soul King for ages, the need to add new members may have emerged fairly recently.
Senjumaru also may have turned down the promotion initially/ did not have the power level to be promoted until some time after the first war dedpite having created the shihakusho
Thinking about what "power" and "mind/memories" mean is very important to this. Like, does power mean their reiatsu level but not their abilities? Their abilities but not their reiatsu level? Both? And for mind/memory, is that all their knowledge? Their intelligence? Their know how of using their own powers? What these mean really changes which twin has the better side, how impressive yamamoto was, and how strong overall they are
Something kindof unrelated but i sort of realized something about senjumaru's bankai, when she kills all the sternritter it shows each of their fates brought foward to kill them in the present, and anyone who's read the manga can see that knowing how they each die, but when it comes to haschwalth it revolves around fire, and him burning to death in those flames, and knowing the last fights mainly all consist of soul reapers and quincy's, so what if those flames are a foreshadow of him being killed by a flame type zanpakuto, and with yama dead who else is there, the only one i can think of is ichigo's dad isshin, that may be me just getting to far into it but i wouldn't be suprised if that's the case, given how much is going to be changed with the last two cours, who know's isshin's bankai may just be the next big reveal kubo has up his sleeve like senjumaru's, using a new bankai to tease another new bankai for the future 🤷♂️
Considering the case of RLoyd bothers, look at this from the commander perspective. They were meant to complete a task - to eliminate Yamamoto and the Kenpachi threat. Together they achieved the thing Yhwach ordered them to do.
Another great video!
I gotta tell you I think myuri was super brash when he was in that cell and even after he’s recruited.. it’s been a while since I read that stuff but I swear it made me laugh how big of a douche he was to everybody as an effective “no body”.. maybe boldness is too much a synonym, but he’s gotten “bolder” as a captain; like when he offed all those in the seireitei to maintain balance at the beginning of TYBW.
… so, that just made me wonder who maintained balance when all the various Kenpachi went on raids through town making mountains of bodies? That was just never enough bodies? Some of those various piles seemed “large”?
Cheers!
