@@Paulin-pw5jx ah yes, play as a different character even though the actor's previous characters were fan favorites by a long shot... I was aware of the characters existense but knew nothing about him, just saw his pics once or twice before. But RDJ made him big though. I knew of Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Cap. America, even Hawkeye but knew nothing about Iron Man.

Word on the street is that Disney has paid $180 million already before a single frame has been filmed just to pay RDJ and the Russo Bros. If they bring back a few of the big names from the old movies tack on another $100 million maybe more. Then add whatever they need to make the movie... $150 million? Then add avertising/marketing $150 million. So somewhere around $550 - $600 million in the end most likely, so 1.2 billion or more to just break even.
At least we'll know where they money is going. They been spending hundred of millions and we still don't know where it went. Cause it wasn't the actors or the production staff...and the film qualities of the marvels and such was garbage. SO where was that money going? At least here we can understand it.

No doubtful, they'll probably do some kind of in your camera to the helmet just like with iron Man or he'll have it revealed over and over again just because that's his face and what he's well known for. He'll probably be one the first mostly maskless doctor dooms.

If I were in charge, the phase after Endgame would be focused on lower power-level characters, like Daredevil, Spider-Man, Moon Knight, Blade, She-Hulk (a good version) etc. My main villain for these street level heroes would be... Elite media tycoon J. Jonah Jameson. I know he isn't exactly a "villain" normally, but in my continuation of the MCU he would be. After everything that transpired in the previous ark, he would use that as an opportunity to wage a war against super-powered beings (Spider-Man being the one he hates most) and alien threats, magical entities etc. CA: Civil War would have been a prelude to some of the issues that my phase would tackle. Jameson would also hire supervillains to go after the heroes, meaning we get some really cool introductions and re-introductions to the cool bad guys (Wilson Fisk would be in league with Jameson alongside others). Sure it's not really fleshed out but it's just my way of changing the direction a little bit to get away from space adventures and things of that ilk.
CA4 will be a bomb. There's no draw here, other than the opportunity to see Red Hulk--but a hulk of a different color isn't going to pull a lot of people in. Anthony Mackie is no Chris Evans and his more recent Marvel work in Falcon and the Winter Soldier did nothing to move the needle on that score. $500MM? $250-$300 tops.
The Russos have never been great at writing plot in the MCU (I don't know about elsewhere), but there've been good to great at writing characters and at directing. These films depend on the writing of the characters to bring the fans back to stay (at least a while). Endgame suffered because they had written themselves into a corner, but they also had a number of dramatic beats they wanted to play with, some of them better than others. They COULD helm two films with broad audience appeal, or they could be stuck with (or in synch with) the same management from CapMarv onward (including Endgame). That's my problem: there's no sign at all this is anything but surface tequila for the hangover (to mix metaphors).
If you think RDJ is coming back just to play Doom, you are nuts. This is a way to bring him back to be Iron Man. WDW Pro broke the news of who is actually in negotiations to play the "Prime" Doom. This is just a Tony Stark variant of Doom, whether he possesses the consciousness of Doom in Stark's body (pulling from a "What If" comic where Doom switches minds with Tony while in college together) or something along the lines of Stark being orphaned as an infant (a version of Winter Soldier killing his parents but earlier) and then raised as "Victor" by the Von Doom family.
I think after infinity war when u look at his on screen body of work RDJ became imo easily the greatest on screen superhero portrayal ever with an amazing perfect timeless arc and endgame solidified him as the goat so I’m just glad he ain’t shat on his own legacy an came back as iron man it’s RDJ so he’s gonna be great I just hope the Russo brothers can come thru cuz since endgame the only marvel film I genuinely had fun watching was no way home
We’ve reverted into just big names, F the character. We all feared this,
Desperate acts.
Hugh Laurie as Dr. Doom.🤞
Stephen Fry gets my vote. "Send the Avengers to the sprouting CHAMBER!!!"

I would much rather see RDJ do one more Sherlock Holmes with Guy Ritchie and Jude Law. I’m worried they’re gonna Last Jedi Tony Stark.
