Thanks steven. Yeah it adds that little bit of realism to the loco. Unfortunately the bachmann tyne dock 9f doesn't have the glow, but my hornby version does and it's great!
I'm a Southerner, but it reminds me of my local line in the 60's and my modest Hornby Dublo layout, which I sometimes let my young son play with....very well done !
That's fab to hear from you ortac22 👍. Thankyou for the kind words. The steam days are missed, all that's left are the memories and our artistic licence to re create scenarios of our own. Aswell as some private railways and the odd tour to see.
Thankyou martyn . Very kind of you, yes hopefully when it gets a wee bit warmer I'll speed the process up . For now, weathering and ballasting is keeping me busy 😁.
Hey man I never post on other people videos very often. But when I say your weathering which you have mastered great job to make them all look different too very impressive man. I am a massive fan of weathered loco's and rolling stock and your iron ore wagons look mint too well done my friend. Check out my videos on my European weathered stuff might give you a few ideas not that you need them right? 😜
Hey Dave 👋. Thankyou for the kind words! I'm over the moon that people like yourself enjoy the content and the locos. Every individual piece of rolling stock has been researched and studied. It certainly brings the layout to life! I will certainly subscribe and give them a watch. Thanks again buddy. 👍
@@NorthTyneLoop Hey mate my pleasure. No offence meant but I cannot get into British rail stuff not enough variations for me and lived as a brat in Germany so that's where I first saw and fell in love with German rail stuff. I subbed to your channel keep up that good wreathing man. I do both my videos in English and German too so have an audience from both sides of the channel. Just starting a new Epic build too.
@ngauging none taken matey. That's understandable with your routes in Germany. That's great how you can appeal to both audiences though. It's certainly an art getting them right, but you also do have that artistic licence to put your own touches in. Thankyou for the sub buddy. I've also followed your channel. I'll keep my eyes peeled 👍.
Hi formidable38. I looked into what was going to be best for me, they are very similar in performance from what I understand, however the hornby model has a flickering firebox and greater detail on the metal parts so I was pulled towards that model. Also the bachmann 9f is already weathered, but I wanted to do my own weathering on the hornby model that is in a br black non weathered livery .
That is a very nice looking layout. The locos are running smooth as well. Thanks for posting. Brendon
Thanks Brendon 👍. Yes they are looked after and fine tuned/tweaked to be as realistic as possible. Thanks for the like 👍
The weathering on the 9F looks absolutely spot on, and just as I remember them working freight. Great job !
Thanks Tony 😁. Yes it was a task to get it right, plenty of research and input. Thanks for watching!
Was just thinking the same myself, superbly done.
Thankyou Paul 👍. Im glad you enjoyed the 9F and the video 👍. I have 92097 and 92098 (both Tyne Dock 9Fs).
Firehole glow and Flicker on 9 F is great also the Tyne Dock - Conset hoppers

A great model railway; I am looking forward to seeing a new video when it is completed.

What do rate between Hornby 9F and Bachmann 9F ?
