Ohhh my gosh 32:59 answers the exact question I’ve been wondering for a while!
I think the music of cuphead is absolutely incredible. This is great to hear Kristofer's insights. I look forward to hearing more jazz music from him in the future, he's a really talented composer
That's really what I don't understand.
He's so talented, and yet he only composed Cuphead??? I really wish I could hear more music made by him, he's so good
interesting. cupheads soundtrack is a joy to listen to, and getting to hear the process behind it is great.

How come christopher larkin got a 5 minute interview and this guy got almost an hour. Don’t get me wrong, the music of cuphead is great, but hollow knight’s music is awesome too.
the two of them have clearly different interest in interviews. also considering the fact that team cherry is steeped in an entirely new game as opposed to a DLC to a game that was released five years ago. also that maddigan's endeavour is much more rooted in the academic side of musical composition, which he makes abundantly clear in this seminar. i feel like larkin wasn't doing as much research in order to carry the torch of respect in terms of influence in the score to hollow knight. not to say he doesn't have respect for his influences, but there was a lot of responsibility in the realm of ragtime, big band, swing, etc. i can see why maddigan would get this sort of gig, let alone have the mindset to prepare for it. although i don't want to assume one composer has a more academic approach than the other. they're clearly both goats.
that being said, i totally agree. i wanna see larkin talk more!
