Hi Mary ! The book ... welll who doesn't love Blue&White?? your table setting is stunning ! room for one more ??haha . Have a joyful weekend friend ! Paula
Oh Mary it’s truly beautiful! I’m a blue and white lady since I can remember. Blue willow reigns supreme in my house among other things blue and white. Well done 👍💕
I love blue and white. I have three sets of blue and white and I sometimes mix and match. I have blue and white Lochs of Scotland by Royal Warwick, each piece depicts a Loch in Scotland, you would love them. This set belonged to my grandmother.❤ I also have blue and white Liberty Blue, depicting a different colonial scene on each piece such as Washington Crossing the Delware, Paul Revere on his horse, Betsy Ross, Independence Hall and a few others. Finally, I have Blue Willow. I love each set. I have four other sets of dishes, but the blue and white are my favorites. I loved everything about your table setting. As always a great review. Linda
Linda, your loch plates intrigued me, and I searched online to find them. I LOVE THEM. The Liberty Blue has always been a favorite of mine. Thanks for sharing this comment and thanks for watching!
Mary your room looks ready for royalty! Wow! You’re such an inspiration and those gifts are a wonderful idea. Bless you for sharing that talent with us🤗❤️Blue & White forever new!
Loved this book review and will be adding this little book to my own 'collection'. I feel sure these authors appreciate your reviews and helping to sell their beautiful books. Your own table was pretty as any picture I have seen. How lovely, fun and enjoyable to prepare for your friends...they won't want to leave. We all love and appreciate you Mary! Next week!! My question would be to Lady Spencer Churchill ~ her thoughts on wallpaper and how long does she think this popular trend will continue, perhaps on and on?
Hello Mary, I enjoyed this review of Blue and White Done Right. I also enjoyed watching you set yet another beautiful dining room table. I love hosting and setting a beautiful table and you Mary definitely has that magic touch! I loved the story of your flatware and how you acquired it. Such beautiful napkins and napkin rings and those beautiful and thoughtful favors!! I just know your guest were impressed and had a wonderful visit. I look forward to next week and hope you have a wonderful one! Hi to Dan! Hugs! :)
Mary, your table was absolutely beautiful. Where did you find those pagoda napkin holders? I would love to have even one. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us.
Beautiful table setting, I really like the pagoda napkin rings. I love blue and white it's what I have in my kitchen, breakfast nook and family room areas with ginger jar lamps and accessories. The book this week was interesting, some of the decor was a little heavy for me but that's just me. I look forward to next week very much, I remember many years ago visiting the Churchill estate of Blenheim palace, a beautiful place. I have enjoyed Ms Churchill's designs in other publications. I hope your book club get together goes very well. Take good care and see you next week
I will not be able to share the book about Blenheim until September, but I needed to get the questions for Lady Henrietta in advance of the review. Thanks for watching and I hope you also have a great week! 💗
Exquisite tablescape!! I'll watch this video many times. I'm so excited about your next video...I can't think of what I'd ask, but I'm very much looking forward to it. Thank you so very much for this lovely video!!
What a superb review of a gorgeous book. I love your tablescape, and have ordered The Lost Bookshop, too. So glad I got to watch this. Blessings on your head.
How bizarre, I’m hosting a dinner party for eight tonight for my husband’s birthday…….you guessed it, blue and white Spode and Noritake dinnerware mixed together, with white chargers, and cobalt blue water glasses, a blue & white chinoiserie tablecloth and white linen napkins. I’ve recently discovered your YT channel, and I have been going through your backlog of vlogs at a rate of about 3 a day…. Great concept for interior design aficionados. Greetings from Perth, Western Australia. 😊
I hope the dinner party went well. It sounds like it was beautiful and classic. I hope you are enjoying the channel. Thanks for watching and sharing your comment.
How beautiful - the table setting, plates, cutleries, everything really! Right up my alley. Love white and blue combo, my absolute favourite! And enjoyed the book review, too, as always. (a follower from the Philippines)
You truly are a wonderful hostess. The tablescape is a feast for the eyes. I am sure your guest will appreciate the effort you put into it. Blue and white are favorite colors for decorating. It's no surprise that most of my clothes are comprised of those colors :) I just finished reading the latest edition of Victoria magazine which featured Blenheim Palace. The interior is just as extraordinary as the exterior. Perhaps you can ask Lady Spencer Churchill how far back are the oldest books in that extensive library. Thank you 🌹
As usual, everything quite exquisite. I have somewhat of a similar story to your silverware, but this involved an emerald ring. May being my birth month emerald is my gemstone. I had noticed my supervisor at work one day had this gorgeous emerald ring on her finger and I said that is the most beautiful ring. A few short years later when she was going through a divorce I showed up to work and she had popped that ring on my desk and said this is for you. I said what the heck? She said you are the only one who ever complemented it, and it wasn’t even the emerald ring I wanted. I could not believe my eyes. I accepted it gratefully, and prized it, for it was the only gemstone I owned. After 25 years, I still carry that ring around. It’s packed away in a small little Coco Chanel bag with a couple other heirlooms. However, I hid it somewhere in this camper and for some reason cannot find it. This is breaking my heart but when I move over to the small little house I’m building I’m going to tear this camper apart and I mean literally lol because this camper is not going to be hauled away until I find my prized emerald ring. And if that doesn’t work, I’m considering Hipnosis. L O L.
What a lovely, lovely book club table!!!! And sweet place setting gifts as well! What lucky club members ... perhaps they need another to make it six? 😄Thanks also for your mention of both books you've enjoyed and the one the club is scheduled to discuss. Please continue to mention books you enjoy; your comment about hating to see the story end represents the type of books I like to read. I've ordered both! Thank you, Mary!
Mary, your table is stunningly beautiful. I love blue and white and use it as accents in my house. I envy your book club and wish I could join. When I have book club, I serve a quiche, pastries that I bake and of course, tea, flavored ginger & orange water and coffee. I wish you had shared your menu. I have read that book and enjoyed it. Cheers, Patricia
Blue and White Done Right…. Such a great book ! Like many people I love this classic color combination. My home is done in these colors, Nantucket Fog ( by BM) is my go to accent color to the point I have to stop myself at times. My friend says that I just like the name. Your table setting is so beautiful. All your wonderful details ! I’m sure your book club friends felt so flattered and welcomed when they saw it. I love the story that 35 years later your mother in law remembered that you liked it and gifted it to you. I have a similar pattern my mother gave to me from Gorham. She use to give me full freedom to set our dining table for holidays and special occasions with a few hints from her along the way. I cherish them. Thank you Mary for another lovely video and book. Have a lovely weekend.
I searched online for the Benjamin Moore Nantucket Fog- what a dreamy blue. The freedom of setting the table is something my grandmother let me do and I loved her gentle encouragement. Thank you for sharing this comment and your memories! I hope you have a great week!
Sweet Mary, The book on blue and white makes me so home sick. My family home in Wallace that I sent you the picture of had over a 100 blue and white platters between the breakfast room and the kitchen. They were enhanced by blue and white toile fabrics. It was so beautiful and I too loved anything Napoleon and Josephine and visited the largest exhibit ever of their lovely thing including the throne room in Memphis Tennessee!
What a great book, my kitchen is white with lots of blue flower arrangements and accessories 💙... and your table looks beautiful!! Thank you once again for another inspiring video!!
Question: I would like to know who or what inspires Lady Spencer-Churchill’s work. The book review, well yet another book I so want! Great ideas in this one. The table setting, absolutely gorgeous! Blue and White has to be a big favorite color palate of mine and I have a rather large collection of blue and white urns that I ADORE! I might have to source some fabric and do a runner like yours, I love that. Brings the whole table together. Your gift idea for the book club guests is so thoughtful and appropriate. What a lovely idea. Thanks again Mary.
What an enchanting table scape for your book club Mary! My personal style is blue and white and pops of color with it. As such I enjoyed the book and just had to watch it 3X for the delightful 'eye candy' that we get to enjoy weekly thanks to your exceptional filming and editing, production. When watching each of your videos, I never want them to stop! I enjoy them so much, and hope you enjoy making them for us as much. RE Blenheim: Please ask what is her favorite part of owning such a world renowned "home" and does she ever wish to run away from the constant upkeep and taxes on it?? Is it raining as much there as it is in The Golden Isles this summer? I still haven't been up to Savannah. I heard about a new hotel and it has a restaurant. I think I will check it out when I get there. XOXO Bren
Ooh Mary I want to be in your book club and go to your house for a lunch! My youngest niece is called Josephine and Ive been thinking of what little gift I could include in her care package that references empress Josephine, those cameos look so cute!
I love Blue and White and have some sprinkled throughout our house here. I really like the Delft pottery with the sailboats. I do have this book and LOVE the building with the blue/white tile on the outside [pg 11], except the cherub’s - we have a no cherub rule in our house which helps keep me from buying some items honestly. I always love your dining room wall mural and wish I could use one in our house here but our house is a 1935 art deco bungalow in Miami with textured walls that make it hard to add paper and hand painting has it’s costs. Your table scape with the little gifts. You are always a very thoughtful hostess.
The "no cherub rule" is cracking me up. YOU are the only cherub your house needs! I'm not sure how effective they are. I have heard that 2 cherubs guarded the gates into the Garden of Eden, yet somehow, a snake was let in! 😃
@@thetartantopiary we have a couple sets of Foo Dogs for that. Cherub’s just look like chubby little children and sometimes with wings. Just a little creepy. HAHAHA.
Mary, this was a clever finish to a beautiful book review! I love it all! Blue and white ginger jars! And white hydrangeas! Is there an extra place at this stunning table for one more reader? 😁
Quiche Lorraine, asparagus, orange & cranberry muffins, with a small fruit salad. Instead of using ham, I made the quiche with turkey and it was great!
Question for Lady Churchill: how do you avoid over decorating when a house is finished (and you love it)? Do you move on to a fresh canvas, do you restrain your creative urge, do you start over, do you limit acquisitions to one in/one out?
Be still, my heart. We Southern girls love our blue and white -- although it's trendy, most of us old fartlettes grew up with it...but as I live and breathe -- never saw napkin pagodas like these. Can you source them? Do tell!
www.themonogramshopnc.com/ They actually have my Easter napkins on the first page of their website. I had a set monogrammed with Daniel's initials and my initials.
@@Al-cd2bk www.jayesstudio.com I’m not sure if they still have those particular napkin rings available, but all of their Fall related items are 50% off.
Quiche Lorraine, asparagus, orange & cranberry muffins, with a small fruit salad. Instead of using ham, I made the quiche with turkey and it was great!
Question for her please: what do you want or see for the future of this great home moving forward? Its place or relevance in design as well as culture here and abroad? Thanks!
I found them at Jayes Studio (online) but I do love The Enchanted Home! The Carolyne Roehm selection has some Lily of the Valley glasses that I have fallen in love with.
Hello, I would like you to ask Lady Spencer-Churchill, how she really feels to have tourists invade her home. I had a tour decades ago, on a bus tour and so many women back then, disrespectfully took the tour with curlers still in their hair and I was horrified for the family who might be looking out their windows!
Most of these suggestions are so overdone that it brings up question marks about the mental state as well of the person decorating like this as also those who publicize it. This is NOT decoration, this is a nightmare for every normal person. If you think this is beautiful get a shrink.
Love your beautiful tablescape, especially the adorable napkin holders and gifts. Your style is maaaahvelous, Daaaahling! 😂
No, YOU are maaaahvelous, but seriously, you are!
It's good to see your calming video in this world of chaos... blue and white, my very favorite design element... heaven for me!

Quiche Lorraine, asparagus, orange & cranberry muffins, with a small fruit salad. Instead of using ham, I made the quiche with turkey and it was great!
Oh how I love this table! Where did you get the white pagoda napkin holders? Fabulous!
I found these several years ago www.jayesstudio.com
Other sources for the table I enjoy are www.enchantedhome.com and www.mrsalice.com
Question for Lady Churchill: how do you avoid over decorating when a house is finished (and you love it)? Do you move on to a fresh canvas, do you restrain your creative urge, do you start over, do you limit acquisitions to one in/one out?
Thanks for the question!
What is the wallpaper in your dining room? It's lovely.
Thank you- this is it.

Hi! Love everything. Please provide where to find the gift boxes as well as the bracelet you had inside it. Thank you!

Stunning table! Can you give any information on the book favor boxes? Cire Trudon are my favorite candles- you’ve inspired me! Again!
Beyond Verve is the Etsy shop and I think they also have a website. It took a while for them to ship, but I was very happy with the product.
@@thetartantopiary thank you so much! I’m on it! I so look forward to your Friday chats!
What year was the estate built
The mural in your dining room is stunning. Could you share who makes it?

Mary where did you get your pagoda napkin rings from ,they are adorable. ❤❤🎉🎉🎉

I’m not sure if they still have those particular napkin rings available, but all of their Fall related items are 50% off.
What a beautiful tablescape and book review! I must know more. What did you serve?

Mary, love the pagoda napkin rings. Where can those be purchased? Always live your videos .Connie Shull
Connie- I got them from www.jayesstudio.com several years ago, but I would also check enchantedhome.com/
Please ask Lady Churchill . . . What is your favorite season of the year? . . . Thank you.
Great question!
Question for her please: what do you want or see for the future of this great home moving forward? Its place or relevance in design as well as culture here and abroad? Thanks!
Thanks for sending the great question. I will try to get as many in as I can.
Do the pagodas come from The Enchanted Home?
I found them at Jayes Studio (online) but I do love The Enchanted Home! The Carolyne Roehm selection has some Lily of the Valley glasses that I have fallen in love with.
Hello, I would like you to ask Lady Spencer-Churchill, how she really feels to have tourists invade her home. I had a tour decades ago, on a bus tour and so many women back then, disrespectfully took the tour with curlers still in their hair and I was horrified for the family who might be looking out their windows!
Wow- I have no words for that! Good question though.
Too busy. Way too much with the wallpaper
Most of these suggestions are so overdone that it brings up question marks about the mental state as well of the person decorating like this as also those who publicize it.
This is NOT decoration, this is a nightmare for every normal person.
If you think this is beautiful get a shrink.
