    I like the Rayon one for the design phase though I'd wanna see a rendered floor plan using Lumion 2023 or 2024 I feel it would match the D5 render floor plan. Good and informative video as always. Cheers mate

    Hi great video, What lighting do you use to film yourself for your videos?

  • @johnjlopez
    @johnjlopez 8 місяців тому

    Can you do a clip on animation style/technique? Not so much the technical parts (or how to do something technically) but on best practices of how to make flowing archviz style animated video content that is successful and sells both the architecture and model for clients.

    • @ShowItBetter
      @ShowItBetter  8 місяців тому +1

      do you mean like best practices on creating animations with programs like D5 RENDER/ LUMION/ ENSCAPE? Composition, music, color, etc?

    • @johnjlopez
      @johnjlopez 8 місяців тому

      @@ShowItBetter Kind of. Maybe more like on the technique of how and what scenes to create and how to best composite them together into an overall video and music attached etc. I'm referring really to the style of output archviz to video and not the technicals of how to work the rendering software. The technicals can be figured out but what is the your style of putting it all together as an architecture video composition. Love your stuff!

    For the rendering method, do you prefer using D5 render or adding materials manually in Photoshop? I gotta say, the D5 seems simpler and faster.

    • @ShowItBetter
      @ShowItBetter  8 місяців тому +1

      it prefers on the software you have at hand, as well as how good you are at photoshop! The advantages of D5 or other real time rendering engines, is that it's really easy to use! I prefer a mix of both!

    Is D5 your preferred choice for real-time rendering? In our office, we utilize Enscape for its simplicity, but at times it feels somewhat restrictive for our design proposals.

    • @ShowItBetter
      @ShowItBetter  8 місяців тому +1

      I'm constantly testing new updates and at the moment, D5 render is my go to for fast and high quality renders. But Enscape still has a great advantage in the sense that it's easy to use, it's very fast and the computer requirements are very low

    Rendered floorplan: There is so much going on that it's hard to understand the floorplan at a quick glance. Also the doors and windows aren't clear. It probably takes up the most time and you are less flexible with post changes and colours overal. I'm not a huge fan of this method, but if you already happen to have a ready to go model that you use for 3D renders and want it to be consistent with it might be usefull.
    Rayon floorplan: Clear and fast representation. Easy for a client to understand and seems to be a flexible workflow. I like it and could see myself using this.
    Graphical floorplan: I like this one the most. Not only from an aesthetic point of view, but it's also the easiest one to read because of the better contrasts between the wall and rooms.

      Why? This is seems like a legitimately good drawing tool. Instead of spending hours drawing in CAD and scouring the internet for furniture blocks, they're included. Also, he wasn't misleading anyone. He explicitly says Rayon sponsored the video. At least, he's promoting good and relevant software, not some bs mobile games or useless water bottles.
