- 👉 Did you know that there are up to 11 ways to pronounce the letter U in English?! Watch this English pronunciation lesson to MASTER all of these different pronunciations of U!
👉 Do you want to learn how to pronounce the Letter U perfectly in British English? I made this video so you could learn how to pronounce the U perfectly at the beginning of words, in the middle of words and at the end of words.
👉 I've also included a really tricky U Tongue Twister at the end of this lesson so once you've finished you should be a U pronunciation expert!
🤔 NOTE: There are A LOT of rules for how U should be pronounced and also LOTS of exceptions. So my advice is to immerse yourself as much as possible into the language and instead focus on getting a 'feel' for what the U sounds like in certain words. You will be very surprised because after a short time you will start to be able to 'guess' and 'feel' which sound is correct, just like a native speaker of English can!
👉 This lesson has CHAPTERS so you can SKIP to the part you need to learn most.
🤩 I hope you find this lesson helpful! Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions!

Hi James. Long time no see you. I love british accent and your videos as well. Please keep on ………..
Thank you sir ❤️👍
Is great to have a human who shows the passion of teaching thanks James
I'm sure i can find a teacher as good as you, but not better as you. The letter U finished the cicle of the vowels. First, you teached the sounds (what letters or combinations of letters sounds can sound like a specific vowel) now you've teached the sound of what each vowel letter can have. Perfect.
My dear teacher, we have missed you..Why didn't you make many videos..I follow you from Yemen and I love your teaching method..I started to learn how to pronounce through your videos

Hello James, thank you for your very helpful video. Today I learned the rules or guidelines about U all over again, rules I must have learned in kindergarten and elementary school, and have been using them intuitively. My reason for relearning is that I am not a trained teacher but am now training a group of teachers for our two rural mission schools in south India. Thanks again.
Im shocked your videos don’t have 1M views each.. continue that way and you’ll get what you deserve. The work you apply to any of your videos amazes me. Thank you maestro (an Italian in England)
thank you
I am wondering why you English use so many vowel letters?! You can just add several transcriptions to the letter U and remove all the others!
Glad to see you! You look good!
