i guess this guy has lots of lovely memories to play such a beautiful song..i really love all those songs he played especially "kiss the rain" ..whenever i listen to the song, it makes me feel like having a wonderful rainy day
This incredible and generous musician has shared his music with my 10 yo son, and his piano playing has become incredible...his music truly touches lives with its beauty
yiruma sounds so loud and a little shy when he was talking, but then when he starts playing, he's so confident, and doing something that he's really good at HE'S SOUTH KOREAN!!! so am i...
This song reminds me of something that left me a very long time ago. This song is so beautiful, it makes me cry. (In the good way! :]) This thing that left me, I thought would never come back, but w/ his songs, Ik theres a little hope. Ty so muc Yiruma. This may sound strange, but I think u have changed many lives w/ ur music. Who agrees?
in the beginning, he's basically talking about his name and how he got it (dad named him). and he also talks about how everyone thinks he's japanese or chinese, but never korean because of his name.
he also said he occasionally hears old drunk people yelling "ee nom ah" (which is like... offensive and bad in korea) and confuses it with his own name. hahah. woah, i didnt know he was from england
He is married to Miss Korea. His bio: Yiruma (born 15 Feb 1978, currently 31 years old, Seoul, Korea) is a South Korean piano music composer. He is married to Miss Korea, Son Hye-im.
He speaks English, he studied music and went to university in England. His residence is in England and he even had British Citizenship, but he gave up British Citizenship so he could serve in the Korean Navy.
LOL. I thought he was Japanese at first, too, but I saw the words on some other video and recognized it as Korean. xD I've heard quite a lot of great Asian pianists, but all the really famous ones are European; but that's because they started with the piano first, right? Anyway, whoever's dedicated to music should be able to inspire others with music. xD
just to clear this up with all you people that are saying this was in twilight or that any of his song was ever in twilight, it was never ever in twilight there is a similiar song called bella's lullaby in twilight that soudns like river flows in you but those are 2 different song by two different composers
Peopleeeeeeeeeeee, I need your help. When you go the Yi Ruma's official website, the first song that plays...it's absolutely amazingggg and I don't know what it's called. It's track 1 of the four tracks. Please help me :(
I love his music. My favorite Is river flows in you. But it kinda irritates me that people call it Bellas Lullaby, Because its actually called the River flows in you by Yiruma!
go to kiss the rain (full version) and hes name is in korean, he looks korean and the way he talks in korean u can tell hes korean, so hes probably korean
yea,it sounds really japanese korean name is usually like lee, kim,or something and the given name mostly consists of 2 words,so if it's lee ru ma,then i can tell he's korean :P
When people guess my nationality they just think, Chinese? Japanese? Korean? Filipino? They don't even know where Mongolia, Vietnam, or Taiwain is. Anyway, I love this song and I love Yiruma.
i don't think Yiruma has the best piano skills in Korea or even in the world haha. There should be so many pianists who have better skills than him. But, Yiruma still plays piano much better than others! i mean, through his feelings and his emotions, he should be the best out of all! he doesn't have the best skills, but he has the best melodies!! i trully appreciate the songs he wrote! he's a God for pop musics! i really love him.. really really love him❤❤❤ Yiruma, you're still the best! 이루마 짱!!!!
relax, i understand if youre offended, i would be too if someone said my language was another, but whether that person is from, i agree (as an european) it is hard telling the difference between the asian languages. but i love them all, nomatter if its chinese, korean, japanese or whatever :)
@papersss12 what does he say about his name?? please tell me!! the only thing i can say in korean is "im not stupid"....dont ask i think its somehting like nannen bano anya..idk
@TechnomTigerGeek Sorry if I sound rude, but, Why are you talking about JB when you're watching a Yiruma video. Sorry again if I may sound rude. But I just wanted to point that out.
i guess this guy has lots of lovely memories to play such a beautiful song..i really love all those songs he played especially "kiss the rain" ..whenever i listen to the song, it makes me feel like having a wonderful rainy day
Yiruma has the best music I've heard in quite a while! LOVE IT !
This incredible and generous musician has shared his music with my 10 yo son, and his piano playing has become incredible...his music truly touches lives with its beauty
yiruma sounds so loud and a little shy when he was talking, but then when he starts playing, he's so confident, and doing something that he's really good at

This song reminds me of something that left me a very long time ago.
This song is so beautiful, it makes me cry. (In the good way! :])
This thing that left me, I thought would never come back, but w/ his songs, Ik theres a little hope.

Yiruma's music is amazing. I'm learning all his music. He jokes a lot in his speeches
i think this is one of his best ones yet, i still love river flows in you though.
I don't understand a word, but I love him and his work
in the beginning, he's basically talking about his name and how he got it (dad named him). and he also talks about how everyone thinks he's japanese or chinese, but never korean because of his name.

@hermioneharryron
He's VERY famous in Korea. Perhaps the most famous pianist in Korea.
He is married to Miss Korea. His bio: Yiruma (born 15 Feb 1978, currently 31 years old, Seoul, Korea) is a South Korean piano music composer. He is married to Miss Korea, Son Hye-im.
Simply Beautiful ♥ I love it

brilliant point! I totally agree. can't fight fire with fire....
i love him soooooo much his music is gorgeous
in the beginning he talks about how he went to japan and that a lot of people think he's japanese but he's korean.
@NONAROSSA it could mean clay. in korean, k's and g's are switched when romanizing the words usually.
He speaks English, he studied music and went to university in England. His residence is in England and he even had British Citizenship, but he gave up British Citizenship so he could serve in the Korean Navy.
gives me the chills.
LOL. I thought he was Japanese at first, too, but I saw the words on some other video and recognized it as Korean. xD I've heard quite a lot of great Asian pianists, but all the really famous ones are European; but that's because they started with the piano first, right? Thank you, and that makes sense. A lot of my Korean friends are surprised when they hear him speak Korean 'cause they think he's Japnese too.
. . . this guy must have been a Gamer when he was little. . because i hear parts of alot of final fantasy songs in his music ! :-)
this really does feel like a dream
That's true, and of course we know Jet Li is Chinese and Yiruma is Korean, but sometimes I could switch them, too ^^
i wish i could have understood the comedy stylings of yiruma at the beginning

Just for good measure, search for Son Hye-im on google and the first result is her wedding pictures with Yiruma.
he reminds me of someone I used to know ^^
KOREA ROCKS ! (One of the reasons is Yiruma ;D )
