That was interesting, lot of them still on my backlog, will play them someday!! Thanks for that, can't wait to see what other 90 games is in your list!
Unfortunately, that's a game that I haven't reviewed on the channel. I played it a couple years before I started here. One day I'll replay it and review it :)
Resonance of Fate, nice list here! Maybe the most unique game ever made, right up there with Catherine. Also, Nolan North (Uncharted games) does a great job as well as the other two main voice actors, I remember the banter between the characters was top tier. Definitely a worthy callout thanks for making this list, looking forward to seeing where some of my favorites end up!
As an Fire Emblem fan I would put a lot of them inside a top 100. The best ones for sure Genealogy, Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn, Thracia (even though I not recommend it, it's more a "purist" game for those who love well thought level design) The nostalgic merchant from childhood Blazing Blade and Sacred Stones. Some newers entry like Three Houses (even though the hub is boring and map design meh), Echoes and Engage (horrible story, one of the funniest to play) and New Mystery. 1 to 3 aren't there but 3 is so underrated. No 6, no 11. As for Awakening it's by far the worst as a tactical. Worst balance and difficulties and worse than everything worse map design of the franchise. Story, supports and characters are also bad, game is save by music and QoL. As for Fates it correct every thing that was bad gameplay wise in Awakening but the story is even far worse (wtf conquest) I could have put it but as a "bad story good gameplay FE" I prefer Engage which is funnier to play. Fates is too gimmicky sometimes and only Conquest shines that much gameplay wise.
I find it really hard to consider non turn based game as JRPGs. If you do so, the line becomes too thin. Why is the Mana series a JRPG franchise? Just 'cause it's from Japan? Is having leveling and gear enough? So why isn't Devil May Cry an JRPG, or Symphony of the Night? I know I'm being annoying and I'm speaking only for myself here, but I feel like people use genres so broadly they don't mean anything nowadays
It's a tough one when everyone has a different opinion. However, it's pretty clear that there's not a single factor that defines a JRPG, as there'll always be another game that you could use to counter the argument (Eg - The Star Ocean and Tales Of series are not turn based). And most games have some sort of RPG elements these days, which makes things even more difficult.
So far I agree and have play most of these. However be warned I will hunt you down if you don’t put ff7 or Persona 5 up there… Just kidding I get not everyone has the same opinion as me I’m not a Twitter addict….
I just think it's cool we're getting a list this big that is legitimately reviewed and not just copy pasted Wikipedia entries
@MM.x.00 Thanks! Trying to go into a little more detail this time, but I'm only really focusing on why you should play the game (the positives).
I was summoned by Mana and so I came
Looking forward to the rest of this massive list
Glad you're here :)
This was a great list! I'm so excited to see what other games come next! I'll be honest, Resonance of Fate looks pretty sweet!
Thanks for the inspiration! The game is really good. Making this video definitely made me want to play it again.
Nice start. Finally some love for Brave Fencer Musashi. Hoping that Dragon Quarter will sneak up next. That game deserves more love and recognition.
Great Series. ❤ it my Friend. Greatings from Austria
Thanks mate! Having a load of fun making them!
Wowww great list, I am looking forward to watch the next parts of this series. Great work bruh.
Thanks a ton!

Hmmm. I need to find your review of Renaissance of Fate. I want more detail on that one.

This is awesome, what an epic idea for a video series! Quite a few on here I'd love to play~
@@uppernimbus thanks mate. Would love to see you do something similar 😉
@@HellFireRPGs Absolutely, I've been meaning to make a JRPG top list of some kind! Would be plenty of fun to make~
You really played 100 jrpgs ?!
@Joel-yi9ju Yeah, well over 100. Been playing them regularly since around 1999.
FF8 overall number one? I’ve been following you for a longgggggg time and if you’re remotely consistent, that’s where this will end.
Hahah, it'll up around the pointy end 🤣

Thanks mate! Definitely worthy of a spot. It seems like a lot of people missed out on it in the past.
Nice to add to my list
Enjoy!
I am sure I have not played 100 RPGs...
Dark cloud 2 not making top 50 is criminal. Dude VP, and WEWY !?? Come on bruh !
Valkyrie Profile and The World Ends with You are great! Definitely worthy of being in the top 100.

@Haarwyvern I haven't played all of the fire Emblem games, but I can confirm some will definitely be on the list 👌
I don't know what would be in next video but FF1 must be at least on 91 place
It wasn't far off that.
@@HellFireRPGs but it's better than 99-91

:D Good to hear. But fear not, they're both in there somewhere.
