SummerSlam 2000 The first ever TLC match, the legendary Shane McMahon vs Steve Blackman match with THAT spot, a triple threat main event between Rock, HHH, Angle, and even Undertaker Vs Kane. COME ON!!
@@robertxhacker oh dear... you’ve just made a mistake for everyone to see homie. History lesson: first ever TLC match was SUMMERSLAM 2000, the second was at Wrestlemania X-Seven... in 2001. The more you know. Homie 😉
Hulk Hogan vs HBK was overshadowed by HBK selling during that time because he was jumping up and down in the ring but Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio was extremely controversial because they were having a match over custody of a child and Edge vs Matt Hardy was a lot controversial because both men had personal problems with each other because Lita was having an affair with Edge in real life
Bash at the Beach ‘97 Jericho vs Ultimo Dragon Steiner Brother vs Chono & Great Muta Sullivan vs Benoit Piper vs Flair Hall & Savage vs DDP & Hennig Luger & Giant vs Hogan & Rodman
Shawn's brown trunks/pants were his backup gear - I can't verify this but apparently his bag with his main gear was lost (possibly by an airline) so he had to go with a spare set.
They did a what culture video about this apparently after Shawnn found his faith he wanted some earth-based design on his trunks but they weren't finished in time so he wore them anyway so it was just basically brown for the Earth
The Benoit&Angle vs Edge&Mysterio matches were all pure FIRE. We used to watche WWE PPV at a bar back then, and, for a couple months, those tag team matches always got the biggest reactions from everyone. I'm having a hard time remembering any tag team title matches that were that good after that time, outside of NXT.
I was 5 years old didn’t even know what wrestling was survivor series 2002 was my first time watching a wrestling show and fell in love with the art Shawn Michaels and Jeff hardy are my favorites all time bc of how they performed that night. Lol I wanted to jump like Jeff and super kick like hbk
WrestleMania 12. First ever Ironman match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels and the Diesel vs Undertaker match was good as well as the Parking Lot Brawl with Goldust vs Roddy Piper
Hello all I would like to reccomend WM 7 as next ups and downs, matches included are : Ultimate Warrior vs Macho Man, the freaking Legion of Doom vs power and glory, Hulk vs Sgt Slaughter. Thank you for listening and I hope you vote with me for Wrestlemania 7
I had the DVD for this. I might still have it. It was an awesome ppv. I loved the dudley boys reunion and that women's street fight. It was the ppv that marked my life
Halloween Havoc 97 next hopefully. Has what's still my favourite Rey Mysterio match and one of the worst cage matches ever so both ups and downs covered.
I was there that night. The first and I believe only time I recall seeing Shawn Michaels wrestle live. Sucks that this was his only WWE Championship win since coming back from retirement. A only holding the title for a month at that.
Trish and Victoria had to freestyle that ending, one of them had stepped on the mirror and broke it in the ring, and Victoria remembered seeing a fire extinguisher under the ring earlier. At least thats what she said in an interview, and it matches up with them stepping on and breaking the mirror, and Victoria not pulling the pin out of the extinguisher before trying it.
I want WWE to sign Simon. All his Ups and downs ripping on Rey Mysterio and the one eye is comedic gold. Only problem I doubt that Simon could be a good heel.
That sure was a good PPV seeing the elimination chamber and Paul Heyman turning on Brock Lesnar. In my opinion The Big Show was a good choice to be the one to hand Lesnar his first loss in WWE.
In light of recent events on NXT, I nominate... RAW on October 7, 2002. Otherwise known as the RAW Roulette show with that one tag team match to end the show.
Day late but excited you did this show! This was the first wrestling PPV I had on the magical “DVD” after getting so many VHS in the attitude era. Loved this show. Maybe biased but one of my top PPVs. The EC promo video to Saliva is so good. Show winning was unreal. Undercard enjoyable. And the Steiner pop is so great. So many great thoughts for this show but I’ve already typed a book!
The original finish for the womens match was Victoria smashing a mirror over Trish's head, but she stood on it accidentally and it broke so they couldn't do the spot anymore.
Survivor Series 2002 is the best Survivor Series ever. The video promo package for the Elimination Chamber match is the 2nd best video promo package of the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression era together, Austin vs Rock from WMX-Seven is the best video promo package.
Whoa what's with the Saliva hate? Their song "Always" was the Survivor Seried theme that year so that's why they performed. Also, dont mess with my angsty nu metal teenage high school years Simon lol.
Can't believe you gave Saliva a down, they played the theme song of Survivor Series and it was fantastic! Still to this day it's my all time favourite theme song for a PPV and fit so well with the video package for the main event! The lyrics from the song: "I see the blood all over your hands, does it make you feel more like a man?" as the video shows HHH leaving HBK in a bloody mess at the end of the Summerslam match fit perfectly. Saliva get a golden UP from me to counter your down, I wish modern-day PPV's put more effort into the theme songs like back in the day.
I'd like to see Halloween Havoc 97, both in honor of it coming back for NXT and because he realized Rey is the MVP and his match with Eddie on this one is TOP. NOTCH.
Vince has said in interviews that the whole reason they chose to split the dudley boys was for sheer shock value, if there was one team people thought would never be it, it would be the dudleys, and would set the tone that no one was safe
This was either the first or second PPV I ever watched in my life. I was 10 when I bought it on DVD. 2 decades later and I’m still watching wrestling content lol smh
The reason for the Victoria Mirror segment before the match was because the finish was suppose to be Victoria smashing the mirror over Trish’s head and Trish had stepped on it during the match so Victoria had to come up with a finish with a broken nose on the fly. She stated this in a Ring The Belle interview.
SummerSlam 2000
The first ever TLC match, the legendary Shane McMahon vs Steve Blackman match with THAT spot, a triple threat main event between Rock, HHH, Angle, and even Undertaker Vs Kane. COME ON!!
The Undertaker vs. Kane match didn't even get officially started if I remember correctly.
Whats the pay per view friend?
Wrestlemania 2000 had the first TLC match homie. Dudleyz vs Hardys vs Edge/Christian

I'm gonna nominate Summerslam 2005. Hogan v HBK, Dominick Custody match, edge (w/lita) v matt hardy, etc.
I just wanna hear simone explain the custody battle angle because that was the most ... 🤔something
@@charleypmurphy I loved it. Eddie's story time promo and the match itself were amazing.

Funny how Dominick turned out XD
I'd like to nominate WcW Bash at the Beach '96. The formation of the NWO and my favorite pay per view. Had the VHS as a kid.
WHO’S SIDE IS HE ON?!?! Heenan totally ruined it 😂😂😂
@@thebigwiggle Yeah, Bischoff was not happy about that.
No Way Out 2001.
Benoit vs Jericho vs X Pac vs Eddie for the IC Strap
Stone Cold vs HHH 3 Stages of Hell
Rock vs Angle
That Fatal 4-Way IC match was awesome
the best B-show of all time, I'd reckon. Maybe Backlash 2000.
Shhh Vince says you can’t say strap
watched this yesterday and it was INSANE
This one has the one of the best feel good endings out of all the PPVs
One night stand. 2006. RVD and the fans vs John Cena.
Already there bud
Big Show winning was such a shocker watching this live. No one could believe it. Especially given it's place on the card.
Bash at the Beach ‘97
Jericho vs Ultimo Dragon
Steiner Brother vs Chono & Great Muta
Sullivan vs Benoit
Piper vs Flair
Hall & Savage vs DDP & Hennig
Luger & Giant vs Hogan & Rodman
Gonna watch this not seen it 🙏🏻👀
ECW Living Dangerously 1999
RVD V Jerry Lynn in one of the best matches of all time.
I am fully on board with continuing to push old school rvd ecw shows
YES
I still need the 1st episode of Monday Night TNA Impact 1/4/2010 when they tried to compete with Raw
Yeah, Too bad that was "coincidentally" the same night Bret Hart made his return.
No one watches TNA!
The beginning of the Hawk Hogan era 😂😂
WCW Nitro and WWF Raw 26th March 2001 - double ups and downs for a night no one expected
This ppv was one of my best especially the First ever Elimination Chamber and the theme song of the ppv Always by Saliva💥
Still have that song in my playlist to this day, because of the ppv!
@@joshalmeida3177 The track was pretty dope🤯
The very first WWE draft would make a good retro ups and downs
I loved how all the titles changed hands! Doesn't happen often
Royal Rumble 99, Rock Mankind I quit match and mr. Mcmahon winning Royale Rumble
Great suggestion! Awesome Royal Rumble.
Shawn's brown trunks/pants were his backup gear - I can't verify this but apparently his bag with his main gear was lost (possibly by an airline) so he had to go with a spare set.
Okay, but that haircut though lol
I felt it was like Faith inspired or Something with the Brown and Blue Colors Representing Certain things in Faith.
They did a what culture video about this apparently after Shawnn found his faith he wanted some earth-based design on his trunks but they weren't finished in time so he wore them anyway so it was just basically brown for the Earth
Apparently Jericho made fun of Shawn's pants, I don't think Shawn got all that mad because he knew they looked rediculous.
He forgot his original tights at home. I believe he said triple h even laughed at him backstage about his pants
Armageddon 2002. The hotel room with Dawn Marie and Torrie Wilson
The greatest night in the history of our sport.
That was weird feud between both WWE ladies because that was really strange and WWE has weird feuds

TNA Unbreakable 2005. The best triple threat match in TNA/Impact wrestling history.
ECW Living Dangerously '99. Jerry Lynn is one of the best technicians of our lifetime.

WrestleMania 12. First ever Ironman match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels and the Diesel vs Undertaker match was good as well as the Parking Lot Brawl with Goldust vs Roddy Piper
Kurt Angle: I'm not gonna shake your hand!! Partner's hug

Summerslam 2005. Has the Guerrero/Mysterio ladder match for custody of Dominic lol.
