Thanks for answering my question! I love the Earth Temple, too, and I agree that it's easy to overlook with how more complex the layout of the Wind Temple is, but the ET has great puzzles, great aesthetics, music, - and I love that Medli's along for the ride.

Love this channel, the dungeon design series is amazing and got me thru my first OOT play-through. BOTW was my first game so OOT was not as intuitive as I expected (i'm dumb also) Congrats!!!
I feel the same about Super Metroid. I didn't play it until 2012 or so. The SNES era was the best. A Link to the Past is awesome as well.
I just watched the full ALttP dungeon design video. It was the first video I've seen from you.
Then I came here because I wanted a bedtime no-thinky video. And it turns out you're in Vancouver.
I guess I am one of the 2 Vancouverites watching this. lol
It's always weird when that happens.
For isntance, I discovered Happy Console Gamer when one of his videos on Mario 64 and the launch of the N64 was in my suggested videos. In that video he talked about renting the N64 from the Willow Video Games at 72nd and King George in Newton, before the N64 was actually released in NA, because Willow got them in from Japan.
I did the exact same thing. It's so weird that he mentioned the exact, now-defunct, store I used to go to as a kid.
Anyway, thanks for doin what you do! Congrats on 10k. I'm eager to go through the channel more.

I completely agree, I love the open air mechanics from Botw/Totk but as far as dungeons , I would want to see a more traditional approach and make items relevant to the dungeon again.

The part about rushing a game do you think that’s why people fell off totk? I know you made a video or discussion about that, that I only watched half of, I’m sorry, but I feel like that’s the problem even with me . Well plus the ending was ruined by people on twitter too. Nostalgia is provably stronger. Thats why the newest zelda is always the most hated.

@@CaptBurgerson Thats why I think "recency bias" is a silly concept, at least when you look at series with such a potent nostalgia in its fanbase like zelda.
In fact, it seems to me that if you enjoy totk the most, that means you have looked past both the powerful nostalgia, and the knock-on of that nostalgia in the negative feedback surrounding it, leading you to have a more clear impression than most people.
Regardless, I cant believe you put oot over ww, for shame!
But congrats on the milestone. I've recommended you a lot and will continue to do so.

@@daniel8181 well, you know if I didn’t acknowledge it that people would write off my praises of the game as such haha. But I think there’s room for both in the discourse of Zelda. Both recency bias and nostalgia can sway people’s feelings on a game I think.

My biggest fear for the Zelda movie is Link talking. The movie could literally just be Link throwing pots for 2 hours and I still think it’s the best movie ever. But as long as Link doesn’t talk, it’s gonna be the best movie ever ❤
