Excellent suggestions. What particularly stood out to me was step six. Where you mention how the supporting cast "support" the depiction of the main character...they are facets or reflections of the main character. This was probably the clearest explanation of the purpose of supporting characters I've heard, yet. Thanks. This will really help me with my short films.
I’ve found your channel by looking for a Filmic Pro + DJI Osmo 3 video and now I’m binge watching all of your videos. Of course I subscribed. This is so good.
@@SiHorrocks That makes two of us lol. Hopefully one day I'll appear at one of your festivals. Thanks for always putting up good content for up and coming guys like me who is still learning.
Great videos. Legit quality content. You know a lot about filmmaking. I love the size of your channel. I’m not quite on that level but getting there. I have some more short films that I haven’t posted yet too
Thanks for this Video and the help! Just uploaded my own first short film, it was so much fun to produce and a great experience, you learn a lot in the process. Keep up the good work!
That's a structure question. Each one is a turning point in your story and there will be minor and major turning points. Short answer: depends on what you want and what the story needs

I also used this song for a recent little project of mine. UA-cam royalty free music. Heck ya. Keep it up man. We’ll all in this together.
Indeed! Thanks Ryan
Thank you, this was amazing!
Awesome insights regarding the "but" and "therefore" in this video.
Do you think it's crucial to ask BOTH on EACH scene of my short film, or just one?
That's a structure question. Each one is a turning point in your story and there will be minor and major turning points. Short answer: depends on what you want and what the story needs
@@SiHorrocks You ended up raising my questions instead of answering them. Thanks.

This video could easily be called the bible of filmmaking. 👍
whats the name of the film in thumbnail?
❤❤
Would you help me review a script?
what if the short has to last no more than 2m20s??
Also do you have any if it has no budget and has to be centered around one single person?
Your videos and a nice cup of coffee go hand-in-hand.
That's how they get made too ☕
👍😁
If we somehow magically hit 1k subscribers by the end of this month then i will fcuking run on electric wires
