When you see it , It feel like its a replaceable screen. don't you think ? I think the screen of 2014 is much much better . The only thing kept me from buying 2015 CLS is the new screen :( Can I buy 2014 and replace the front headlights with the 2015 ??

Aside from this, in general I'm not feeling this CLS. It's on the inside too messy, on the outside cheapened out, it lost its exclusive elegance.

I think it's because to integrate the screen, they'll have to break the smooth flowing lines of the interior dashboard. I'm sure they have no problem doing it if they really wanted to, but this is a facelift, not a brand new vehicle. I'm guessing they wanted a larger screen without having to drastically redesign.
Overseas they demand the smaller engines do to the cost for gas .In the American market it will have the 6 and 8 cyl engines .That car is due for redesign anyway

(S203) .. i like it .. but 5speed automatic and such a small engine in a 1,4Ton car is just not right
Mario Hennenberger yeah, I am nowadays a fan of either classic big natural aspirated engines as they do not really consume more fuel than the small turbo ones, or if you go for low consumption, then directly go for a diesel. If overtaking is so important for you, you might go for the CLS 350 CDI so you got 2 cylinders plus. Imho, the 250 should be enough in general, but I wouldnt go for the 220 - too small for such a heavy car. Have you also thought about stepping down a class? Thats trendy meanwhile ... go for a smaller car but take more features you like.

I hope the new CLS will be taking the lines of the first generation CLS and make them more dynamic in the front,rear . First generation was best with those smooth lines. I love the dynamic front of the new though. Ugly rear wheel arches though! Looks like an E class in the rear sides. The facelift though looks a bit better.

MB messed the CLS up, speaking as a 2 time CLS owner, the interior is really screwed up now and looks cheap. The buttons are cheap looking now, the nav display looks out of place, and over-sized. The grandma old time shifter I am not a fan of either, even the guy reviewing the new CLS made comments about cheaply made, finish, and cost cutting MB did. Sometimes, when you have a winning formula you should stick with it, MB still has not learned this.
i own the previous generation a cls 350 2006 model and i think it looks far more sleek than this model i wont be buying the new cls think ill buy maybe an sl instead
now this is a proper car review :) what a nice car... too bad it's crazy expensive here in Malaysia. you need to sell a kidney to afford one of these. anyway, great review by including all the small things. its always the small things that seal the deal.
It's on all carmakers basically.. even the national car makers have a pretty high price on them.. basically because of taxes. Just for discussions sake, just imagine the CLS starts here at 180,000 euros. I don't know how to justify the car prices here.. Only the very rich can afford that.. What a bummer.

Yeah as I also said it looks a bit displaced. Either smaller oder even bigger imho.
I also think they need to take inspiration from Audi for how the screen works (like on the a3) and maybe even a widescreen like BMW.

AkMorf no way, the rear wheel arches make the back look wider and more aggressive. This looks especially nice on the cls63 amg models.
