    Miranda, you’ve done nothing wrong don’t talk believe about anything anyone says you only did the right thing for your fans by sticking up to them saying no flash photography. It literally says on your tickets somewhere that you can’t do flash photography like me and my family with a few months ago April 2. It was the funnest time of my life you’re still my favorite singer. Nobody can be a better singer than you in my opinion.

      Did Miranda or security make note of their no flash photography policy before the show starts, loudly with a microphone? Or there were any documentation when you bought the tickets of this policy? I think if it's just in small writing on the back of the ticket or sth, many people probably can't see it or will overlook it. I think after this debacle, Miranda and Bakkt Theater need to re-evaluate how they can effectively and tactfully handle phones and photography from fans at her performances.

      @@hkristin0710 Yes, that's the thing. If they took a group photo sitting with no flash, they likely would've went unnoticed. The photo quality may have not been good, but you can still get photos earlier or later. But soooo many people do retakes bc somehow the photo got messed up, or they change their mind and wanna do different photos with different people. From the TMZ vid of an actual attendee, it shows these women did at least 3 flash photos: 2 had the 6 of them, 1 had 2 of them. For many people, it takes a lot of time to get prepared for a photo, too: right pose, right lighting, right angling, grooming, etc. And then, there's the editing. This all takes time, so when I saw that the TMZ video from an actual attendee said they were up there for minutes instead of seconds, I believe them. Maybe when the women got caught, they were finishing and that group photo took 30 seconds. But their overall "shoot" took minutes, even before she began to sing Tin Man.

    I sympathize with Miranda and the women that took selfies.
    In Vegas it's a giant party, many people "not all" attend Vegas to not just gamble but also to drink. It isn't called "Sin City" for nothing.
    When a singer doesn't have a no camera policy, (and in Vegas) you have to expect there's going to be someone or at least a group that may get exaggerated on taking selfies, videos or being loud, especially if they've been drinking. Now I'm not saying those particular women were drinking. It seems they were most likely caught up in the whole experience, between Vegas experience and her concert. Excited with adrenaline. Maybe also the song "Tin Man" was very special to them that they wanted a picture of her in the background singing it. Maybe it was a very special occasion for the group, it was something they waited a couple years for, wanting lifetime memories marked forever and to pass down to their children.
    But with that said - I can understand Miranda wanting the audience to take in the whole experience of an emotional song, wanting a calm and relaxed atmosphere, as not wanting distractions while singing that particular song, and also wanting those seated next to the women taking pictures to be able to enjoy it too.
    The reality of it is, us human beings are unpredictable, complex and not the greatest at self awareness and emotional regulation, therefore not everyone will follow status quo of being mindful of others surrounding them, nor have emotional regulation, so they end up getting caught up in their own experience, it's as though it's tunnel vision happens, they go blank on not thinking on how others are experiencing the event.
    Where this very similar dynamic can also be experienced at, is while driving. Many get caught up in just their own experience, they lose empathy for others while behind the wheel. It's as if they believe they own the road, that everyone should accompany them. Patience takes a back seat, self entitlement jumps in the driver seat.
    Although yes there obviously was no camera policy at concert. Did the women express concerns to the others seated next to them if their selfies was distracting them? There's no telling. Did they realistically have to ask if it was distracting? No but also it's just common courtesy but as I stated, they probably got caught up in the whole experience. In addition without a no camera policy, it gives the green light to take selfies.
    Only other option is if Miranda would had voiced her frustrations in another way it wouldn't of cost her the consequences she's facing as of now.
    I get the whole concept that not everyone likes this selfie culture, but the reality of it is, it's here and isn't going away, so we have to try and cope with it in our own way. Work around it when able.

    • @Roselyroses
      @Roselyroses 10 місяців тому +1

      I agree with much of what you said. However, the consequences? Miranda got some bad publicity, and there are quite a lot of people on SM mad about it. However, I’ve checked the reviews for her on Ticketmaster. 4.5 out of 5 on ~9k reviews. Most of the recent reviews were positive, and some called out these women. One reviewer said a lady in the audience had to ask another lady to stop recording every song. Another reviewer was at this nefarious show who said they were in the pit, near these women. They said a bunch of people were using flash. They also about people taking an excessive amount of photos for like 15 minutes. They also they took pics intermittently, and Miranda passed right by, kept silent.
      Some said ticket sales have faltered from this incident, but I researched on TicketMaster, it does appear there are quite a bit of slots. But I think it’s in a part bc this isn’t a “special” show, so to speak, bc she’s in residency. It becomes normalized. If she had a big show with 20k seats, only sold 5k, then I’d see maybe more proof this debacle had on the ticket sales as of yet. Even looking at Kelly Clarkson for next week, there are many openings.
      However, I do agree that Miranda needs to consider a fair compromise so there’s less drama and gossip. Perhaps ask at the beginning that no one takes flash photography while she’s performing, but taking flash photos before, after or on pauses are fine. Or have a Meet + Greet before the show (not sure if she already does this or has tried). There could be other compromises. She maybe could’ve requested, “Hey, for everyone’s enjoyment, can we all put the flash photography away until the song is over? Thank you! ” However, I’ve seen so many people who have had such arrogant, selfish and unfair attitudes about taking selfies. “I paid, so I’m free to do whatever!” No mention of understanding where others are coming from, no compromises, no personal responsibility taken. So, I also have my doubts that people wouldn’t defiantly take pics, sneak them, or complain. “Oops, I took a pic by ‘accident.’”

    • @Roselyroses
      @Roselyroses 10 місяців тому +2

      I also have seen no negative reviews about this debacle on Google Maps for Bakkt Theater. It appears the mob mentality is over-exaggerating its impact. Esp since I’ve seen from multiple sources (vid from an actual attendee, review on TicketMaster, the infamous clip itself where people applauded Miranda for confronting them) that these women were largely bothering others around them. So, for the people who were actually there and actually paid to be there, many side with Miranda. Much of the criticism I see online appears to be from people who just saw the clip of Miranda, didn't look further into the situation, and just made a snap judgment or already biased. I will also say that there have been some incidents where Miranda has behaved in a catty and immature manner, but here, I think was she was calm and assertive.
      Edited: found another review on the gram of an actual attendee that night. Person was in the 2nd row, next to the stage. Said there were girls in front of them who would take FLASH photos every time Miranda would walk by, not just a regular photo w/o the flash. Said many of these women were loud, talking over Miranda singing. Said dozens of fans were mad around them. She did not clarify if these were the women of the night, but from the context clues, it seems most likely.
      Selfish, unfair, and irresponsible behavior bc they're showing no self-control and minimal regard for others, if any. People paid good money to be there, as well.

      @@Roselyroses
      I had spoken with a friend about this situation and kind of stated what you said as in regards to if Miranda could had asked - if we could just hold off with the flashs or picture taking until after the songs are if she could of done a meet and greet, that's if she didn't.
      I use to usher at events but not definitely not this large and from what I'd experienced, crowd control is so hard. It's as though many lose a sense of control, they get so caught up in the moment that common mannerisms and respect vanish.
      I remember a dinner at a convention I worked at, The Oak Ridge Boys were hired to play a company event. There were about 8 entrance doors. There were "no" assigned seats, it was first come first serve, which was a bad and potential dangerous decision. When the doors opened up, the women ran inside, merely almost trampling on each other. Prior to opening doors, we made it clear, for their safety to please be careful and mindful to walk. That went out the window.
      Anyways I appreciate your input and the other commentator.
      I wasn't at Miranda's event, so I try to get as much information as possible before taking just one side. Hopefully more comes to light this situation gets ironed out.

      @@truthteller8872 Thank you for your balanced and thoughtful take. But yes, I do see what you're saying about people getting caught up the moment. Sounds like they're running on impulse, and I really think these ladies were most likely running off of adrenaline, at least Adela. She seemed to have very low awareness of what was going on. However, Adela's also an "influencer" and gave TMZ an interview about the event, so I also think maybe she's full of it.
