I'm going to buy a RAM 3500 SRW 6.7L Turbo Diesel with a 4.10 reared. Going to tow an RV fifth wheel trailer full-time. Love your videos! I have learned a lot from you. Keep them coming. Have a fantastic day! God Bless 🙏
July 2023 I bought a midsize truck. The Honda Ridgeline, after owning 2 GMC Sierras for 29 yrs, was my choice only because the comparably equipped GMC was N of 68k. Ha … GM can keep them. Ridgeline was $41,086 OTD. Tows my 3640 lb bass boat fine.
From a manufacturer Nissan he’🙃who desperate to find a buyer ( in talks with Honda), or go out of business in the next 12 months according to their latest proxy statements and public announcement 🙄
The transmission is reliable, but the I-Force V6 and 4 cylinder engines are not. Toyota, go back to a NA V8 or a NA Hybrid V6 on the Tundra, ditch turbos across the board, and give the Taco a non-turbo engine with the hybrid setup.
Such a great eye opener video! Direct and concise Thanks a lot for this video that makes a lot of sense for anyone who's looking for an upgrade! Great job Scotty
I just traded in my 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it with 163,000 miles on it for a 2024 Nissan Titan with the 5.6L Endurance V8 in it with 400 HP and 413 Ibs of Torque and man its a freakn beast.
Scotty said Nissan isn't any good since the company was sold to Renault. I'd be very interested to hear how your truck is doing in a few months, if you don't mind.
Honda Ridgeline has the best ride and mileage in the category. If going higher than Toyota Tundra makes sense. But needing anything stronger in tow capability, it's only coming in diesel. The electrics can only carry, not tow.
Trucks - because I like to put stuff in from the side and they look better than vans also would like to lift my 2010 Toy TRD 4x4 SR6 but never did since i bought it ! She was born at the NUMI plant in Freakmont CA 😂
A lot of guys buying the super duty Fords think they don't need a CDL by the time you put a loaded trailer on the back you will be ticketed if you do not have one anything over 26,000 Total truck trailer and load
I still want a turbo diesel Toyota Hilux,!! I don't understand why there is no "bare bones' truck available in the USA? "Viynal bench seat", "rubber"/no carpet floor", manual transmission. crank windows...Only "option" I think is relevant, is A/C....
The best trucks to buy are ones they are naturally aspirated. Unfortunately, if you’re looking new, that means Ford and GM. Otherwise, you’ll need to step up to 3/4 ton or higher. Save the turbos for the diesels.
If you drive a car with manual transmission, its easy to see if it has any issues or is perfect. So no one can push unnecessary services. It will last forever.

Truck manufacturers have priced out their clientele. They needed the extra profit to underwrite EV stupidity. The truck market is price elastic. Simple.
Have you heard of bproauto ??? It's Stellantis' newly launched brand designed to fit most vehicles no matter the year, make, or model, including my 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The bproauto replacement parts are competitively priced and designed to maintain your vehicle in peak condition. This letter I got yesterday from my local Dodge dealer. I thought, at first, it was a recall letter. I guest there won't be anymore O.E.M parts for Stellantis, sold vehicles. I can get replacement parts from the private garage I go to when I need repairs and not pay excessive labor costs. It bothers me that the garage I go to, now, won't be able to get me the O.E.M parts that I do want. SAD !
I'll just continue to maintain my 2011 Nissan Frontier. 153k miles and still going strong. Gas mileage sucks but with a 4 liter V6 i didn't expect it to be great.
All the talk about the V6 diesel variants without any mention of the GM 3.0L diesel, which is capable of low to mid 30's MPG in many of the body styles offered, my 24 ZR2 lifted off road variant with the front end of a brick is getting 26 on average and it isn't even broken in yet. The GM LM2/LZ0 inline 6 3 liter engines are big win for the GM light duty segment and their popularity is a testament to that.
Keeping my 2013 Ram pickup for the rest of my time on this rock. You are crazy if you’re willing to dish out for overpriced over engineered piles of garbage.
I would own an AWD Toyota van if a work van option was available with a bulkhead partition, but Toyota doesn't offer any kind of work van, so I added a huge high wedge light weight aluminum cap to my 4WD long bed regular cab V8 tundra. The pickup truck gives me go anywhere traction, V8 power, decent ground clearance and a commanding view of the road. The high wedge cap provides me with van like cargo space that is isolated from the cab, it is secure, my cargo is protected from the elements and the full size clam shell rear door allows for easy loading & unloading of large items. This modification has turned out to be an excellent compromise.
I have a 2004 Nissan Titan LE crew cab 4x4 120k miles and shes an absolute angel. Work truck that has made me literally hundreds of thousands of dollars over almost 20 years running my own business. I've added long tube headers, Titanium ceramic coated. K&N intake system, She growls when she starts and I get compliments all the time. I'm about to do a round of maintenance on her and i am so happy to. I replaced nearly all of the suspension last year so she's basically new in many areas. The Titan is such a magnificent truck. American assembled and designed. My dads old Dodge pick up was made in Mexico. Yuck. Nissan Titan for the win. Treat them right, keep up on maintenance, don't best the hell out of them snd they'll last forever.
My advice from my experience. Don’t buy an American truck as they are poorly designed and poorly built. The only reason to buy one is that they are cheaper in the US due to import taxes.
Got a ‘24 Maverick and couldn’t be happier. Active Duty Army, don’t need it to haul like a farmer or a contractor. Gets me to work helps move my gear around and load up projects and various things in the bed. Short wife can drive it without issues, and insane fuel economy. Stationed in Europe so it’s about as big as you can go to be able to maneuver comfortably in their cities.
I think minivans are an unperfected genre due to lack of interest there is only about 2 quality minivans one from toyota one from honda and the one from dodge is junk dont buy it
I need a little four cylinder standard cab truck with a 5 speed and AC. Hand crank windows and manual locks works for me. What company wants my money in 2025?
Love hearing Scottys 2 cents!! I'm in texas. Anyone have thoughts on a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab rebuilt 6.0L engine has 30K miles on it, new water pump, tensioner pulley, oil sensor, headlights, thermostat, new solenoids in tranny. Asking price is 6800.00. Exterior & interior nice and clean. I'd appreciate any advice, I'm looking at it tomorrow. Thanks!!
The New Toyota trucks and SUV’s are absolute garbage. Anyone who is a Toyota driver or avid fan can tell Toyota cheapened their vehicles and increased the MSRP by 20 to 30 and even 40 percent or more depending on models. Bye bye Toyota
I don't have much of a preference between trucks, Suv's, And Vans.. The only selling point for me is if its not the srt10 ram pickup from the mid2000s, Then it better be 90s and older. Love my classics. Ill take my ramcharger over a new Ford, Chevy, Dodge or Toyota any day.

I want my hylux not these oversized POS, they are selling today
Mini vans are the Best, soory. Im loving the Honda! ❤
I think minivans are an unperfected genre due to lack of interest there is only about 2 quality minivans one from toyota one from honda and the one from dodge is junk dont buy it
Sienna everyday
I need a little four cylinder standard cab truck with a 5 speed and AC. Hand crank windows and manual locks works for me. What company wants my money in 2025?

2017 tundra Ignition key will not turn
I am keeping my 2020 Tundra and 2020 Sequoia forever. I am 67 years old and they should be the last vehicles I’ll ever own.
The base 3.3l na engine for the f150 is no longer available. Now the base engine is the 2.7l ecoboost.
Great job uncle.
2020 F250 6.2 v8 solid truck
The only truck you should buy is a toyota celica
I'm not even sure how to respond to that. I did laugh though, so that's always a good thing. 😁
Funny
The new toyotas are junk.
Cyber Truck has ALL THE HORSEPOWER.😅
Has Mr. Scotty bought the vehicles he reviews and used the vehicles long enough to make a review? or is it hearsay? Im curious. No offense intended.
Thanks!!
AC work? Let me know if you don’t buy
@jimarcher5255 yes ac works. So it's a good deal? :)
Do the planet a favour and don't buy a truck!! 😊
Hey, didn’t you forget to feature the Cybertruck by Elite Muskrat? I’m shocked. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Elite Muskrat? Liked!
😆
Are you a seven year old?
You're informative but, that voice is killing me. Can't get trough a whole video. Good lord.
The New Toyota trucks and SUV’s are absolute garbage. Anyone who is a Toyota driver or avid fan can tell Toyota cheapened their vehicles and increased the MSRP by 20 to 30 and even 40 percent or more depending on models. Bye bye Toyota
My 2007 duramax for life!
How about a video with only the van comparisons towing reliability capacity reliability?
No Nissan Frontier Scotty...I stopped watching this video.
stay away from the new Toyotas - overpriced and not quality
Tell the people about the honda trail 125 scotty
👍
If you get a van & can’t decide on a dually, some garages can’t service them.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
