... This episode was so hard to watch... I actually dreaded watching this with Nik and Li. So sad! Li actually walked away at one point because she was just too upset. I had to convince her to come back.
Also, we never usually have issues with our TWD reactions, but for some reason, our last reaction was blocked by AMC and they denied our dispute even though it is within Fair Use and under 10 minutes. Unfair and just strange... It's even heavily edited too... so this one is even more edited to avoid any other blocks (meaning every few seconds I had to cut). Makes a lot more work for me, but I tried my best to 'stay within' these odd rules as well as keep in good reactions. Andrew Lincoln’s acting this episode was so damn good. That snot bubble he blew was nasty af but it added to the feeling of realism.
Lincoln is underrated as an actor hope he gets some big movie role or apart of one some day.

im full straight and yet my biggest erection ever was when jd morgan said "no exeptions" and started hit glen agin. the volume and sound and way he said it made me want the world to end so i can do the same :D

I've been seeing you a lot on other reaction channels. Love your reactions.
I remember watching this episode when it aired. The tension was almost making me sick. When Negan finally hit Abraham, I was almost relieved. I had already known that Glenn died in that scene in the comics, and Denice took Abraham's comic death, so I kinda figured that Abraham was going to be the one. I had already prepared for it. I spent most of the episode saying, "just not Glenn, just not Glenn, please, just not Glenn." I liked Abe, but I wouldn't say he was a favorite of mine, so I was okay with that loss since he was living on borrowed time from a story perspective.
But, damn, when he hit Glenn, my heart dropped. Glenn and Beth were the deaths that hit me hardest up to this point. Poor Maggie....
Plus, JDM is so damn charismatic, I can't even 100% hate Negan for it. This show sucks sometimes, man. lol
Glad you brought up Beth! I was surprised how she grew on me in such less eps in 2nd half of S4 & hospital eps in S5. Her death really hit hard.

Not going to lie, at this point negan is very generous with rick.. rick killed 40 if not more of his men all with loved ones like glenn and abraham and stole their stuff.. he only killed 2 and wanted to do only 1 if daryl hadn't done whathedid. and this is 1 example only because I don't want to spoil anything but later on you'll see that negan is hella patient with rick tbh... negan could've been a lot worse to rick.
Btw i love negan his actor his character it's amazing truly the best villain I've ever seen... calm but chaotic

Honestly Negan let them off fairly easy. Considering how much of Negan's people Rick killed he really did let them off easy. He killed a lot of his guys while they were sleeping. Rick was too headstrong and thought he was unstoppable. Sometimes you have to look at the viewpoint of people outside the main characters and realize they're not perfect. Also I knew Glenn was dead the moment he killed his first human.
I know 100% that ricks group isn’t perfect. But they’re the bare minimum of a normal survival group, they did what they had to, but they definitely got overboard by agreeing to kill the saviors without knowing how many people they had. Other than that i think 98% of the things the group did was justifiable

When I first watched I had trouble breathing and kept pausing the show to take a deep breath after some serious tears were swelling up in my eyes. Nikki, I'm right there with you girl. I was MORE angry with Hershel's death & I wanted the Governor to die a horrible death. But Rick didn't do shit & Governor got away with a stab. I wanted a more painful death for him. So unsatisfying!

Honestly I think season 7 was fine the main issue being too much filler at times, think with all the depressed characters and story lines going with characters broken and separated they people kinda saw that as the show being bad for some reason.
That being said season 8 and 9 are much better
I like season 9 and 10, and I thought season 7 and 8 were just okay. I hated that they killed of Carl though, such a stupid choice,

I just came acrosss this channel as it poped up in my feed. But damn if that chick in the middle ain't annoying AF. Asking questions every 2 to 3 seconds. "WHO IS IT, DOIWN?! WHAT"S HAPPENING, DOIWN?! That ish would drive me up a wall then out of the room.

I was dreading when this episode would happen since I read the comic....issue #100...the death of Glenn. Abraham had died a few issues earlier. Abe's death was different in the comic. He was killed by Dwight. If you remember the scene on the show where they were all looking for the Saviors and they were on the railroad tracks...they start arguing with one another and Denise starts getting after them and goes on this rant and then suddenly an arrow goes through the back of her head and out her eye. Well that was Abraham's death instead. but fans were upset about how Abe went out that the writer Robert Kirkman, who also agreed, decided to make right with the character on the show. Although Daryl had nothing to do with anyone's death in the comic cuz he doesn't even exist in the comic. His counterpart in the comic is Dwight and on the show Daryl has gone through some of the things Dwight has.

And that is the bitter truth. Gregory knew his time was limited when Negan sent one of Gregory's own people to stab him. So he made a deal with Rick's people to take out Negan, but didn't tell Rick how truly powerful Negan was.

I hate to ask, but is this series going to continue? It’s been over a year. I realize that Nikki’s work is demanding.
FINALLYYYY
Seasons 7 and 8 are not up to par with the rest of the show in terms of storytelling aspects and writing, but season 9 has improved a lot and is already 1 of the best seasons ever created so you have plenty to look forward to, don't get me wrong seasons 7 and 8 still have plenty of great moments worth watching they just aren't always approached,crafted, or connected in efficient ways to improve the story. I suggest you watch more often because these 2 seasons are lot more concise when you binge it, it was horrible having to watch it week by week with 3 month breaks in between each season.

Comic Comparisons: In the comics Glenn is the only death The RV trip with Rick and the threat of having Rick cut off Carl’s arm doesn’t happen in the comics Negan kills Glenn and then walks off in the same way he does here Ta ta Line for line the Lucille moment was the same Taking it like a champ Lucille is a vampire bat I just hit you so goddamn hard your eyeball just popped out And it is gross as shit Negan’s time has only just begun.
Fun Fact: The title for this episode is the same thing Jenner told him at the CDC back on the Season 1 finale when Rick told him he was grateful that Jenner was letting them go That day has come now.

There are people who forget that whoever started this was Rick and his friends.
They were trying to end Negan without having any information on how many people he had in the group and among others. I did not like the deaths, but I understood why!

After this episode the series goes downhill for me. I haven't bothered watching series 9, I'm done with the show now. This is one of the best episodes, even though it's awful!

Last night, I had a dream I went to this open-air Game of Thrones marathon for newbies that aired just before Season 8 premiered. A lot of actors were there, but only the non-famous ones. Also, in season 2, Tyrion became King and installed a massive, Washington Monument-style reflecting pool flanked by rows of badass pyrotechnics in the throne room that shot out fireballs while he stood in front of the throne yelling HELLRAISER!
The dream ended with us crossing a wheat field and being chased down by Tom Hardy, who wanted to tell us Michael Mcelhatton (Roose Bolton) was a dick to him on set, really aloof and condescending. I said "He seems really nice in interviews. Sure you don't mean Steven Dillane (Stannis)?" At which point Tom Hardy said "Oh yeah, I get them mixed up sometimes." Then I woke up.
I watched this video right before I fell asleep. Your UA-cam channel Inception'ed me. I want my money back.

Btw The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones are NOT - I repeat, NOT - shows for the faint of heart. They are VERY, VERY bleak. Be ready. There are no happy endings. No walking into the sunet. No families sitting in a warm embrace.

ngl season 7 is quite a drag and season 8 isnt that good BUT it is worth it when you get to season 9. I just hope yous don't give up on the show during season 7 and 8.
Lol now you ladies know how the rest of us all felt nearly 3 years ago now. And yes - us fans had a shit fit waiting on that cliffhanger. Just like the Jon Snow Season 5 death cliffhanger we all had to deal woth for over half a year.
I'm pretty sure they reacted harder to Carl in the moment than anything else. Can't say I'm not good with that. In fact, I'm very happy with that. Their logic was so sound about that. I loved hearing the "don't do it" about that whole scene. I get sick of seeing reactions where people /freak out/ at Rick for NOT doing it. Some people never think for a damn second how they'd react in that situation if it was their own kid. It's not as easy as just deciding in a split second in that situation. Put one of those people in that same situation and I can guarantee they wouldn't be able to do it either.
I love how they update their "the worst" episode pretty regularly. :P It's nice to see the discussion afterward!
