Back in February 1985 I ordered an IROC-Z. While watching the race on TV during one of the breaks the talked about the shop were the cars were maintained between races. Turns out it was about a 1/4 mile from where I was living. Ifound out when the next race was and managed to get the day off and go down there. I met the owner of the shop, Jay Signore, and got a tour of the place. At the time I was a truck mechanic in the Marine Corps. I was actually offered a job when I got out. Stayed around and watched them load the cars and got lots of pictures, some famous names on the cars Foyt, Andretti, Sneva, Unser and other legends.
Wow! That is so cool! What a great story. Still have the IROC?? Those race days will never be seen again and it's great that you got to be a part of it in some way! Thanks for the comment and hope you are a subscriber and part of the ITCCT family!
Thanks for comment Jeremy 96! That answer would depend on many many factors. Maybe someone out there can help with the specifics? Come on all you IROC lovers!

Love my 87 5.7 IROC
So glad you're having a blast with your IROC! Here's to many more fun miles! Thanks Paul!
The 5.7 iroc only had around 10 to 15 h.p more than the 5.0 TPI.. big deal
Good stuff 👍🏼 I’m having a couple problems under the hood of mines. Wondering if it’s better worth fixing the stock engine or Ls swapping it.
