On our farm (heavy equipment) we usually put an open-end on the nut and drive the wrench with the gun. Fittings were getting too chewed-up with direct impact. Great video however..this is the first I've seen showing this technique.
Yes! Specially if you deal with a lot of stubborn hydraulic fittings that you can't get a good angle on to break loose! I'm running a IR 118MAXK, it gets the job done ✅ awesome video!

+wxfield Using fan clutch wrenches work pretty well too if it's the right size fitting.
Ooooh..That's a good idea. Gotta remember that one.
I have a set of those that live in the bottom on a drawer..somewhere.
Thanks!
wxfield your way sounds better
@@AdeptApe OR.......why not just put the "crows foot" wrench onto the nut and hammer on that?!

Actually works very well for fan hub nuts as well!
Great tip, but I think I would place your crows foot on it and then air hammer on the crows foot! Thanks again for the idea.
My Grandfather taught me this with a screwdriver and hammer!
better to use the really long bit with the chisel edge. it wont damage the threads like hitting it with that one.
speaking from experience, lol
why not a flare nut crows foot and air hammer?
Man your awesome
I've done that with screw drivers and a hammer a few times
+Richard Cowtails It is a lot more fun with power tools!
love the air hammer . which one do you think is best in the .401 shank size ? I'm looking to upgrade from my cornwell long barrel
+syndakitpanda1777 I definitely like the longer barreled air hammers, I've had that Matco one for about 8 years with good success.
Nice. I do that on stubborn Ac lines on Buses.
I try to use the air hammer on everything that irritates me, it usually fixes it or at least necessitates getting a new part.
Weld a steel flange on crow foot with insert divit for your impact,or I used a t bar breaker welded to air hammer chuck.
that's genius !
Was that an actual air hammer attachment? Looks like a long 1/2 extension
+Kyle Knipfer Its an actual attachment. They make really long chisel, hammer, and other attachments for air hammers.
golden* ty
Like your channel by the way. Nice to find another HD guy like me. I have a channel too. Check it out when you get a chance.
Thanks for the comment, I'll take a look.
I've got the same Fluke meter as you, just yours is cleaner. Keep posting the vids.
+Adept Ape Thanks I"ll do my best. We get busy sometimes and my time to shoot becomes limited, I post when I can.
