Hey mister, great video as usual! It would be great if you could make a quick video on how to perfectly adjust the air/fuel mixture screw on a running vt600. Thanks a lot !
These vids give me confidence to chop s%^t up !
I still can't get why to install a monostrut when in the USA is not a problem to make a hardtail. In Spain and most european countries, hardtails and long choppers are not street legal, so we need to keep some stock pieces for the annual inspection.
Great channel btw!
Great video! I'm glad I found your channel. Because how much I can remove without losing structure and strength has had me not daring to cut that much off. I have a feeling I will be binge watching all your videos during this lockdown. Thank you
Your technical advice is very valuable. I no longer have a crankcase vent filter, but a hose leading to where the waste hoses go. Out tastes though are very different. And thanks to variety and diversity. But that's also why I could not suggest anything, as you are an artist, and this is your canvas. Quick question: Why not a low beam too, and are hardtails that popular?
I've been following your stuff for a long time, great to see your success!!! Also cool to see you on Unaffiliated channel at your awesome party with the Karen haha!
If I get a shadow I'll be sure to buy your products. Hope you are having a great day!
Your videos are SUPER HELPFUL! THANK YOU!
Awesome video..I ordered a peanut tank from you and contacted the support many times and haven't recieved a return message..was told a lil over 2 weeks ago that it would be finishing up in 2 weeks
What’s up TJ great video as always! In the future can you make a video replacing water pump. Thank you in advance. Keep the great content coming 👍🏿
I think the first thing you should do after putting on the mini strut is to fix the kickstand
What would be the benefit to the weld-in hardtail kit opposed to this mono-shock?
Thanks brother!!! Your the man
Any chance you could do a video on the battery relocator and electronics tank for the VT750 on a finished bike?
Ok read thru all the comments and pretty sure no one asked. This my first time modding a cruiser/ bobber. Will this fit a 1999 Honda Shadow VT1100 ?
So, even with the stock mono shock, those frame tubes can get cut out since they're just for the stock rear fender, seat, side panels, and passenger pegs? I am trying to do a cafe-inspired build, so i want my seat higher (welding a base), and that monoshock visually exposed from both sides.
Oi TJ, I noticed you mentioned the electronics needing moving around if a monostrut is added. I’ll need one for the bolt on Sissy bar kit I ordered from you. My bike was once spot welded to hardtail (frame wasn’t cut but the stock rear fender was chopped same place you cut on the bike in this vid)the spot weld was easy to cut to lift off the frame from the swingarm. We never had to move any of the electronics in that area but I didn’t have a mono strut or anything there for that matter..was a very risky build at that time being the frame was just sitting on the swingarm. Anyhoo a monoshock was added after the cut but in order for me to use the kit I had ordered and carry a passenger I’ll need to hardtail it again(via monostrut). Will I still need to move some of the electronics?
Tj, was initially considering the 3 piece weld in hardtail kit but feel this strut may be a softer test into the land of hardtail. That being said does this hardtail strut retain stock ride height or does it lower the rear a bit?
how does having a rigid end benefit vs a shock?
I noticed hagon also makes fork springs, would it be safe to assume they are as bad ass as the monoshock
Any suggestion on aftermarket shocks for a 2015 Phantom?
Does that hard strut drop the bike
TJ what handle bars are those on that build on the intro video on that build your doing & are those available to purchase on your website thanx in advance!!
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS the very last one in the dark before video starts?
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS rite before TJBC.Com shows?😂😂
So you “weld “ that mono bar in place to convert bike to a hard tail???
no it bolts on no welding needed.
Hey so I basically bought a bike with a mono strut and I kinda wanna change it into a mono shock is it possible to do so ?
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS it’s a Honda steed 400
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS what if it’s welded ? 🥲
I have a 2001 Honda Shadow VT 600 it is getting plenty of gas it is getting plenty of compression and plenty of Spark but the damn thing will not crank any solution?? Any feedback would help thanks
One thing to try is pull the side cover of the right side. Check the fuses. There's a solenoid switch behind the cover. Turn the key on and push the start button if you hear the solenoid switch click then the problem may be the starter. If it doesn't make a click noise, check that the orange/red kill switch on the right handlebar is off. How can you tell it has compression and spark if you can't crank the motor? Best advice I can offer. You can email me at- awizardalso@ameritech.net. I may be able to help you find the problem with some more tips.
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS Most all of my life people have come out of the blue to help me when I need help. Since they usually disappeared before I could repay them, all I can do is pay it forward.
Hey TJ would a exhaust system from a 98 shadow 1100 fit on a 07 1100 ?
Well the 98 is the ace and the 07 is the Sabre
Do you have to have a monostrut or no
TJBRUTALCUSTOMS thank ypu
Hi Tj, big fan here! Ok question....I started my bike and it idled for 2 minutes and died, can't get it to start again. Charged my battery for 2 hrs., had a hard time starting but eventually started, i let it idle for about 5 minutes then it died again. Won't start after that. It sounds like it want to start but it won't. Bike was running great last week and the weeks before. NOTE: (January 2019 NEW plugs, new fuel filter, carbs are cleaned and rejetted,) gas is half tank, volt meter is reading 12.6 volts (key in acc only. Not running) What could it be?? Thanks in advance - 07 spirit 750
TJBRUTALCUSTOMS no problem. I figured it out. I switched the petcock to RESERVE and it started running....but the gas tank looks like it's still half full. Lol
Basement31 lol gotta love that switch. Same thing happened to me last year and I never thought to check that one simple thing
How much do you think is the max I should pay for a shadow from 2000-2007?
TJBRUTALCUSTOMS 600 and it runs with about 20,600 miles
TJBRUTALCUSTOMS 2006 and they want 2500
First comment lol
TJ your so awesome bro thank for doing what you doing please don’t ever stop how the 1100 coming ?
I can wait to see it lol
