O.M.F.G! Not just that someone thought it was worth doing a video about, but actually doing it, in spades! I was amazed when a probe threaded it's way between Pluto and Charon, and got amazing pics. Never thought I'd see that. But this!!! 🤯 You sir... words fail me. Some of my most cherished childhood memories were spent exploring such forlorn tracts. Thank you.
It was crazy but it wasn't marsh when the original track was built. It crossed a small bay with a defunct Georgian harbour, The cost of replacing the sinking pilings bankrupted Hesketh. The line was then built around the edge of the bay and it gradually silted up.
Excellent pair of videos.....even if you have no interest in railways, these provide a wonderful overview of our area. Recommended!

Yes - the embankments it ran on are still there, but the wooden trestle across the middle bit is long gone
