THIS was awesome. I'm not a professional plumber, but I've been doing my own home plumbing/electric/carpentry/drywall/etc. for over 40 years and I follow directions/instructions pretty well. I did not find ANY directions in the package for my shower/tub kit regarding the spout. Praying Delta wasn't going to leave me to the tender mercies of a $300/hour plumber (I'm not crazy about sweating copper pipes) a ten second query on UA-cam found this video and made my day. HOWEVER, the fitting in my kit is a slip-on (YAY!) but the instructions on the bag (black print on green? Who did that?) are for sweating. I'll just use some silicone on the last inch of pipe before the o-ring. THANK YOU for making this video.
Wow.....just wow....Hannah, you did an excellent job on this video! Our house was built just 2 yrs ago and our guest bathroom's Delta tub faucet was dripping quite a bit. This video allowed this gal to repair it herself, and while the water was off, I was able to adjust the severely hot temperature of our master walk-in shower. For 2 yrs it's been super hot even though the handle was mostly towards the C (cold) mark! Thanks so much for the efforts of providing such a helpful and precise training video!
This was a huge help for me. My faucet set didn't come with any direction for the tub spout except for the ones on the bag which did not include anything about the method shown in this video. Glad I looked it up before buying everything needed for soldering
@@Not_ur_normal_mom Hiring a licensed plumber can be a good idea. If there are not hot and cold isolation valves on either side of the main body, you will have to shut off the water to your house. I don't remember if this valve body has those, and it doesn't show in the video, if I recall correctly.
@@Not_ur_normal_mom Also there are a lot of plumbers who will rip you off, sell you something you don't need, etc. Be careful and avoid getting yourself into emergency situations in which you will have more limited choices about who to hire. If you find a good plumber, tell everyone about them. They will probably be more expensive than you think, and also worth every penny.
Do you put clear silicone on the outside of the shower faucet handle ? I noticed you put on the inside gasket but what about water leaking in between the shower wall and faucet ?
I am having same issue and I believe this video shows the valve going only 90deg 09:54 . I am going to try your suggestion below to remove handle and put back on 180 deg,
Does your slide on adapter no longer have a set screw? I recieved only one adapter which doesn't have a set screw making me think it's a solder on one.
The faucet I have doesn't have any failsafe for when you're threading it on. The inside of it shifted and it's effed now. No screws inside to hold it in place.
the only thing that is poorly documented (all websites I've see so far that sell the trim kit T13391), is IF the trim kit includes the cartridge or not. (so if you install a R10300-UNWS, then go out to get the associated trim kit T13391 - no seller (customer service) is sure if the cartridge comes with that trim kit or not - they never mention whether it does or not) or should I say, that Amazon mentions that the cartridge is part of the trim kit (R10300-UNWS), you look up the trim kit and there is no mention of it being part of the kit...
I like how you deliberately don’t put silicone on the bottom of the faucet and then smear it all over the wall, making what she did completely useless 😅
Hello Roberto, Thanks for contacting us. The shower head in the video has a button that you press to change the settings. Please feel free to reach out with any further questions or concerns. -Kelley
I can't believe you have commercials on your videos. We're your customers buying your parts and you can't provide these videos without forcing your customers to watch MORE ads?

This video allowed me to complete my project with confidence. Adjusted the hot water and all. Thank you!

Clear, concise and extremely helpful!!! Thanks.
Great job on this video.
Thank you really help me a lot 🙏
This was so well done thank you!
We're happy we could help out, Mike! Thanks for watching.
I have the same adapter for the tub spout and it WILL NOT fit over the copper pipe....Not sure what to do anymore
make sure to release pressure on the tub/shower outlets before taking the bonnet nut off... ask me how I know...
Is it safe to assume I should have the water to the house off for this part? 😬 Should I hire a plumber?

Hi, from delta 1400 series it’s way to upgrade to T17467 series ?
Carefully applying silicone to 3 edges of the tub filler that gets screwed on makes no sense.
Do you put clear silicone on the outside of the shower faucet handle ? I noticed you put on the inside gasket but what about water leaking in between the shower wall and faucet ?
I can't push in the cartridge even through i am lining up the arrows.
How do u adjust water pressure
The delta temperature handle I got is meant to turn 180 degrees, but the cartridge only turns 90. How do adapt it?
I don't know what i did, but I thinkni just put the handle opposite side and it turned fully 180

On mine the water spout and shower both drain when they are on
this looks like it's for a new home I have a old home with previously installed items

It appears that the trims holes for the screws don’t line up with my old one for this product 😢
I can't get the sleeve off it won't budge at all. I'm trying to change the temperature setting. I'm letting it sit with WD-40
What if the cartridge isn’t turning the water off?
You would show the easiest way to put the spout on and not soldering or using a threaded adapter....
I said the same thing😂
Yes please do
Not a plumber but couldn’t you just cut it and use what she used after
Mine will not shut all the way off. This is second one just not buying delta anymore.
I did this and the water just runs out of the faucet.
I like how you deliberately don’t put silicone on the bottom of the faucet and then smear it all over the wall, making what she did completely useless 😅
How do you switch the water to the shower head?

pull tub spout opening down

That's the most annoying voice I've ever heard.
