YAGP actually has separate divisions for pre-professional dancers, so Chloe probably placed top 12 in contemporary and didn’t place in ballet. (Actually, in 2011 they may have had separate divisions for all age groups). It is strange to see musical theater at YAGP, as usually dancers choose contemporary pieces as their second solos, but if she danced the best with a musical theater solo, I don’t see why they wouldn’t have had her place. It’s actually not that uncommon to see pre-professionals place in one division but not the other, even now!
The ALDC must be a terrible studio for ballet , because not a single ballet solo placed 😂 I wish Chloe had gone somewhere to train ballet, she was the most naturally technical dancer Abby had at the studio on the team!
Why are you laughing at a studio that was not a ballet studio? Plus you should learn to write and investigate that YAGP is an extremely hard competition, one of the hardest competitions in the country at that time, even some dances from studios that only concentrate in ballet training don’t place, bc it’s so hard, the aldc’s ballet it’s not gonna do very well since they concentrated in acrobatics, tap and contemporary and also jazz, but there’s many dances from ballet schools that don’t place, you should shut up and stop laughing at the dancers, I bet they dance circles around you
@@bigshotbabe because it just shows how delusional Abby is. She truly thought that she could send her dancers there without proper ballet training. It makes sense why they didn’t place. And Chloe’s musical theater placed in the top 12 which says a lot about her natural technique.
@@bigshotbabe I’m not laughing at the dancers, I’m laughing at Abby. It’s funny how you’re taking this so personally. I do have classical ballet training actually lol. That’s how I am able to tell. It’s sad for her dancers that she sent them there without proper training. Abby always thinks that she knows what she’s doing but clearly not all the time
@@jessicajoerndt428 ok, this comment just shows how clueless you are, she sent her dancers in ballet solos because her main concern were the non ballet solos, the ones that the dancers competed with all year long, if you want to enter a kid at YAGP in the contemporary division, you must enter a variation too for them to do, I do not think for a bit that her dancers would’ve Place with ballet solos coming from an acrobatic studio against all of those prima ballerinas that had went to a strictly only ballet studio since they were like 2 years old, the aldc usually did well in the contemporary division, since at least one routine from their studio placed every year they competed, which is amazing knowing how hard is to place at YAGP, their main concern was the contemporary division, not the classical one, but if they wanted to enter contemporary they had to enter classical too, it’s not that she thought her dancers could win the classical division but she need to enter classical if she wanted to enter contemporary. And the aldc is a studio where they concentrate on acrobatics, tap and contemporary, everyone knows that is very difficult for her dancers to Place in the classical division, it’s like if you send ballet dancers to a gymnastics competitions, the teachers know what they’re doing when they enter routines. And I’m not taking it personal, it just that it bothers me when ppl talk crap when they don’t know anything
if they wanted a shot at YAGP they really should have just gone to a ballet school. Most of them didn't know what to do with their hands, thumbs were showing, incorrect first position (why is it all the way up parallel with their chests?). Just saying, ALDC isn't exactly great at ballet.
Um I know, they just went to YAGP to have variety of comps, this was their last year at YAGP, but surprisingly, they had a pretty good year at YAGP in 2008, and i disagree with the other thing you said, and we know the aldc isn’t the best at ballet, bc it’s not a ballet school lol
You can definitely see that they are not a classical ballet school.
Twilight and The face are for sure my favorites! But La fille mal gardee has a special place in my heart 🥺❤
Twilight is just a masterpiece
YAGP logic:
Ballet = not placing
Musical theater = top 12
(Idk their logic is funny lol)

It's bc their ballet is not up to a high standard since aldc is not a ballet school
@@coleslaw2171 nope, in Chloe’s division they had ballet and contemporary mixed in one division
If im correct chloe placed 10th in another comp or this one
la fille mal garden is a personal favorite
I love ballet so I’m dissapointed like no ballet placed :(
some of them i’m surprised didn’t place at all but most i’m not
wtf was abby thinking sending ma he’s making eyes at me and accentuate the positive to YAGP, a ballet/contemporary competition????
Well, ma he’s making eyes at me actually placed in the top ten beating some ballet and contemporary solos so it wasn’t that bad as a decision lol

Yes, the original one was the one from 2010, then they performed it at YAGP 2011 and then they did it on dance moms in 2012
