My late wife, a Dallas jazz diva, opened our home to Horace when he visited in Dallas for a concert back in the early '80's. Our friend Steven M brought his mentor to Dallas, and Horace rehearsed in my wife's music room on our old upright Steinway. Walter Wynn the late great drummer and painter from Dallas sat in, and it was really cool having such music in our space, up close and personal.

This is beautiful! Adele Sebastian(flutist) was a talent gone too soon. She was my daughter Brooke's half-sister(same dad). Sadly Brooke never had the chance to meet her. Listening to her is comforting.

This music needs more exposure. It doesn't get any better than this.

@CynaminGirl Did you know Adele well? I wish she was still here so that my daughter and her could have spent time together. Their father spoke of her often and we have nice photos of her as a child.

The Christianity of the liberated mind of a captured people was summed up in the writings of one our great ancestor prophets David Walker! who wrote in 1829 "David Walkers Appeal" Jeremiah Wright was correct the G-D the slaves sought after and believed in was not the same as those that enslaved.him. They saw G-D and the world from very different perspectives resulting in two different desires. This music express that with the continual spirit of revolutionary Christianity given to him by those great ancestors who fought to find a place for themselves and their G-d in this cruel America.

Sad, haunting images and music. What kind of people would subject Africans to this kind of life in America? For what? Profits?

But yet through all that was imposed on the African here we as African Americans are so disjointed spiritually.Because everything that was done to us as a people Christianity was used ,I say improperly used to justify it. What hypocrisy and blasphemy done outright and deliberately. So why do we not worship Christ properly today in his proper image.?

Religion was designed to control. Free your mind from the chains of indoctrinated worship and your soul shall surely follow.
