Which matters more, being wrong all game long, or being the one with the correct choice for the last turn for that 1 extra point of health? I think the best takeaway from this is that many decisions may be right at the time, even if they don't lead to a win.
Jaeus A it's the difference between a local and a global optimum. choosing always the best local optimum for a problem may end not being the best global optimum for the same problem.
I was just being a devil's advocate. Trump got a lot of flak for his desired decisions being "wrong" but sneaking in more Armor could shut down some outs for the opponent as well. I personally agree with Toast and Kibler's decisions, because I don't think the result makes a decision right or wrong.
Jaeus A I only disagreed with their last play. it confused me. they were playing so safe all this time and suddenly they choose damage over health in a situation where it was dangerous to do that, on top of that they traded in the 9/3 instead of dealing 9 damage to face and t reading with the armorer. i pointed out that what you said Is a concept in programming for problem solving. their individual decisions were the optimal decision for that situation, but in the bigger scale they lost the duel because their decisions were only the best in each situation they were made

Agreed, mages get fkn spells that cost 2 less (with a 2 cost spell) and warriors get a 1 cost discover that doesn't cost 1 less, blizzard sucks at card designs

This is why I love cards like Explore Un'goro and Renounce Darkness, you almost never win, but it makes for some really nice comeback games, until of course, you get pyroblasted.
I humbly request more content of this nature. Just get all 3 of my favorite streamers together in one room and play hearthstone. It's surprisingly entertaining.
Should've armored up instead of second banana the Armorsmith. Gain 5 armor instead 4 that would've left 1 health after pyroblast. Man was that a fun match to watch.

They chose to play around a card that could exist in the deck rather than around cards that definitely do not exist in the deck.

Mana Wyrm hits you on turn 2 then you hit it with war axe and take 1. hitting mana wyrm at turn 1 reduces damage taken no matter how you slice it.
