    It was fantastic to see a train heading south over Ramsgate bridge on the East Lincolnshire Railway line, through Alford, Firsby, Boston, Spalding and on to P'bro. This must have been taken in the mid sixties. Such a waste of a railwayline, express fish trains used to come down from Grimsby to ease congestion on the ECML route, Beeching destroyed the heart of Lincolnshire. I was on one of the last trains from Mablethorpe, changing at Firsby, on route to London KingsX in 1970 before the axe finally fell on the southern half of the Mablethorpe loop line
