Peak Boost from 3k is usually 21 PSI, however as you can see from this video it jumps a lot from 15-20 PSI

Something I need to say because I know its gonna be brought up:
it should be boosting 21 psi, but sometimes only boosts to 15 psi.
It's overdue a service so I'm hoping some new plugs will help solve that 🤞
A shot of seafoam, Oil change, stage 2 coil packs .. you're good to go!!!
And some new rubber to properly put the power to the road
Could be your actuator sticking slightly too it’s a common fault 👍🏻
Yeah try using the copper conductive type plugs for mine stage 1 1.8t I use NGK BKR7E, they don’t last as long but only £10 delivered and recommended for stage 1+ tuning, hope this helps bro! Keep the vids coming- cars sounding sweeet btw 😎🔥👌🏼
If it's the actuator ..use some permatex NICKEL anti seize not COPPER

@@TorpedoStudios I actually love it, i was surprised with it being a petrol with the top end speed as well, not quite got the acceleration of my TDI that I had but lots of fun :)

@@TorpedoStudios TDI drove really nice not quite as smooth as my GTI though but pulled through every gear and kept pulling even through 6th and the MPH was great to, a nice 45MPG compaired to the 21MPG I get in my GTI haha

Mines fast 2 remaps also bit slow build up sometimes but when hers up 2 power it's beautiful to drive.
Where abouts did you get the boost guage holder that sits on the pillar?
did you need an upgraded fuel pressure regulator?
Put a 5lb return style spring on the wastegate. The wastegate blows open at that boost so the N75 goes crazy. The return spring helps it stay shut

That turbo sounds sick. Im on my provisional and ive only been driving for a bit and i cant resist flooring my mk2 on national speed limit roads. Its only a 1.3 but I fear for my transmission.
I miss my old 1.4, ragging it, went no where but was so much fun

I had a full gt30 build on mine pushing over 500hp don't worry 1.8t police its been built also has supertech built head blah blah blah its more of a track car now. I've actually gone back to k04 hybrid as it makes 370hp and boost comes on at 3k rather than 5 5k with the gt30 mine revs to 9k now its just so much more usable on the track. Even tho I'm looking at gt28 maybe.
And garret/honeywell are shit there quality is shocking now days
So right now in the current market. What would it cost to get this car + do the mods. Was gonna get a mk5 gti but can’t justify the stupid prices of them anymore. Should of got one a few years ago only ragged examples from Bradford now

The ticking at the end it’s nothing to worry about, it’s normal, it’s not the coil pack :)
I think its the charcoal fuel emmisions unit on left side of engine...mine does that too...

I have stage 2 on a golf gti motor code aum same 230 hp as you with stage 2 but i don't get any flames and i wasn't interested with that until now.
I have just downpipe, muffler and resonator still on.
What do you have? Straight pipe or just removed one of those? Or it is pops and bangs soft?

On a good motorway run I can get 35-40mpg, average overall is 24 though. Tax is 280 I think a year, cheers mate!
@@BWTV ive got a seat leon cupra mk1 1.8 20vt and my tax is £330 but i pay monthly so that may be the reason mine is high
With 1 bar of boost this was probably running bout 200 bhp and the torque bout 240 aswell wen this was filmed

Check for oil leaks. On the test drive pull in auto zone and have them check the Check engine light if it has one
Mk4 Polo 9n3 gti has the same engine if you want something different

Man I really want a 1,8t. Currently took over my friends MK4 1,4.. it's a perfect town car but man I want some power.. 75hp wont take you anywhere. This might be my next choice or a MK5 GTI
1.8t > mk5 gti tbh, have chopped so many mk5 gti's in my mk4 gti 1.8t lol
1.8T is much more reliable compared to 2.0 TFSI and also even if something broke down, parts are dirty cheap to buy. You probably made your choice a long time ago, because it is 4 years old comment 🤣

Went straight to stage 2 so can't compare it but I can apparently hit 40mpg on a good motorway run, 25mpg average around town

It's just the stock BPV, sounds like its surging though so its probably just stuck closed. you'd get the same sound if just blocked it off.
