The decompression is stiff and doesn't work very smooth, I need to lube it up and see if it works better. I might put on a gear reduction starter, I already put really heavy battery cables on it and I got rid of the big kill button on the dash. That button he a huge power drain.
@@ImaginaryMachines I need to put a clutch in mine. That would make a good instruction video. Any repairs you do might be helpful to others. There’s an American Belarus site on Facebook that’s helpful as well.

Ive one of those. Does a good job with tiller on back for the garden and other small farm jobs.
Try a group 31 battery. 950cca should wake it up. New cables are advisable too.

Yes, once I get a new shifter boot put on I'll change all the oil in it. It probably did this old tractor some good to get out and run for a while!

Are you using the compression release lever to start? I wasn’t sure since you didn’t mention it. Also a gear reduction starter is a must.
