Fault committed by Matt Wright (see 15:46) that the announcers and Ref missed - distracted I guess by Yates' playfulness blowing on the ball. Simone clearly saw it. His foot was on the line/inside kitchen when he took the ball in the air. At the very least his feet were not established when he returned the volley. We need slo-mo replay in the games.
For establishing your feet, you just have to make contact with your foot (that was in the NVZ zone) outside of the NVZ and you have thus established. From the video he actually hit the ball before his left foot was able to establish outside the NVZ zone. It is just such a hard call to make as a ref.
Kyle Yates is one of the biggest offenders of stepping on kitchen line or through it to jump over to hit an ernie without establishing 2 feet. He gets away with it so much when people play him they really should ask for an extra nonvolley zone ref.
An ernie is a very hard shot and him cheating and going for ernies so often throws you off your game. Just watch every attempt he goes for an ernie and you will see him step on kitchen line almost every time.
yes, @2:29 he stepped on the kitchen line. The move is sop fast an unexpected that you can't really tell if he faulted or not. But with the power of video it is easy to spot.
Very poor editing. Every time they show a previous shot, it is the same miss by Yates several plays ago. Yates, what winner in Pickleball, what a looser in life.
`Some of the best coverage seen yet-- multicamera, good direction-- love having the score in the corner and sides identified!
Great match! I always love watching these four players compete against each other. Awesome commentary! Game analysis really good. Thanks!
20:50 hustle, switch, earn the net, win...what a rally for J/Y!

15:47 swung left foot around from NVL but never planted until just after hitting ball, tough call to make
You are correct but as you said as that's a very very hard call to make.
Yea depends on the definition of "establish" in establishing a foot , does that mean just contact ?

Refs and announcers missed it but Simone saw it.
Great play by Wright Kovalova...Jardim Yates just had too many unforced errors to overcome. It seemed they were not playing “their game”
The announcer said Simone is from Spain and Kovalova is from Russia. Not! You're fired!
Well, at least he's consistent- he got BOTH countries wrong!
Simone is Brazilian! Ella joga tao bem!

He also has the worst sportsmanship out of all the players.

Wow...the audio is so bad it’s insane
