- In this video I'm spending a whole day sitting in a kayak for the longest paddle down the local, Mathew Reynolds and I are in search of some new water holding the bigger bass. With all the flood events the past couple of years the bass have been able to move freely around the catchment but with drought conditions starting to take affect we go in search of fish stuck in the surrounding waters of the weirs. These man-made barriers are a necessary evil that help farmers through these hard times but hinder the natural life cycle of Australian bass and cause unnatural aggregations of fish stuck between the walls.

Be good to get em aged and get an understanding of how old these fish could possibly be. We have been stocking for over 20 years so chances are there are fish that old in the system.

Awesome vid again mate, what baitcaster combo would you recommend for value for price/ great setup? maybe between $150-300
As a combo the Lew’s Mach Crush combos are sweet but you might struggle to find one otherwise the Shimano SLX combo is worth a look.
