- Welcome to Teamsport Crawley located 3 miles to the south of Gatwick airport.
We actually had three sessions here, but as i've been attemting to edit this for over a month now, I thout i'd just port the first (and most eventful) session.

Crawley is my local track and I must say, since the electric kart introduction the whole experience has gone to shit for me. The concrete flooring was already slippery enough but now with electric karts so powerful you can outrun a DeLorean people have gotten cockier and more crashes are happening more often. The addition of the radio operated speed control just puts the cherry on the top since some karts seem to activate late or are outright unaffected. Track Etiquette has never been so crap at Crawley at the moment. I want my roaring steaming hot petrol fumes back 😢

These electric karts love a bit of oversteer, it do be hard to find grip :((
Genuinely, in our footage of this, there's a moment coming round onto the downramp from the top floor where my kart is bumbling along on speed 1 whilst everyone else is on speed 3 and blasting past 😭
Don't get me wrong, i loved Crawley, session's 2&3 were infinitely better, the problem was solely caused by this group that we had. but in general, I agree. There is a place for the electric Karts (particularly the Sodi's) but i think TS are making a mistake by not keeping a few tracks solely petrol.

I would recommend doing a Monday night 342 or a Thursday members night as you get a lot more racing for your money and it is much higher quality 😊

We've been looking at coming back for a Thursday members night here, the trouble is, it's so far away from where were based (Teamsport Coventry is our "local") but I really want to head back!
Used to go their all the time and it’s got worse every time the karts don’t suit the track and the electric is to technical and they also say they can’t control speed which they obviously can so my new local is lakeside you should check it out
Having now also driven the electric Sodi's, I'm inclined to agree. That track would be amazing with those karts. As for Lakeside, I'll have to have a look next time I'm down that way :)
People stopping on yellows is just stupid, its like, are you colour-blind or something, some people actually want to race
It really is the most frustrating. I get that people might not be entirely sure/new to karting, but if they paid attention to the briefing, they'd know.

Such a shame at Crawley really, Come quite often and came before the new layout end electric karts, it was much more fun then. now this new layout has 0 grip on the new parts and the E-Karts are just.. shocking. and it makes matters worse when you have a load of dirty drivers or people who have never been before. Another annoying thing is the fact they "Abuse" the fact its a large track by putting 15-20 people on at a time, considering its time-trial based, this is awful. You clear the slow morons and then just as your on a flyer, there is either people doing slower then walking pace in the corners, or Yellow/Red flags.
Edit: Also makes it worse when your faster then the person infront and they're acting like its a F1 Championship Battle!
Really wish I had a go on the petrol track, I would've loved it!!! The grip was shocking on the concrete and the biz ecovolts are just... naff. I don't fit in them and they're numb to drive with no real excitement beyond the initial "haha torque go weee"
We tried the sodi electrics at reading just a few weeks ago and oh boy.... Those are lightyears better. Night and day, I loved those karts immediately
@@c.lday44 Ye i agere with what you saying. the Bizkarts sucks. I've seen other tracks with differnt type of E-Kart and they are so much better, they're faster and some even have small screens on the wheel. would love to see that.
(I think they changed the layout because the E-Karts couldent get through the old S's sections)
I get what you mean, although it's an 800m track, its not wide enough for any real overtaking unless you time it well. TS Sheffield is an 850m track, but it's wide so there's loads of overtaking opportunities (and it's still petrol for now so that's always a plus)
When are you going to send session 2😂
The video is in the works, but I want it to be a video worth watching. However, it's currently stuck behind other things in my life at the moment and it's trying to find the time to work on it. but it will get there....
