nice deck, against dimir i believe is about the choices in playing lines in some cases, in my opinion you have to play the most agressive route all the time because the time you fall behind they can out tempo you, and that would mean playing in sorcery speed stuff your would normally play as in their turn, just to make then have the hard choice to either remove your creature or advance their board

I had the same thing with the esper pixie deck, was killing it recently, then hit a cold streak that was topped off by having an Oculus deck get turn 1 oculus via my Nightmare.
Would 4x maindeck painters studio work in this deck or there just isnt room for all 4 playset, i played a boros tokens deck running 4 and i got crushed
Every time i think "nah this deck idea can't be good, the manabase sucks" i see a deck with an even more egregious mana requirements just work. Imagine saying one of the best Aggro decks in the format was a 3color deck that splashes for a 1 Drop, people would kick you out of the room.
Honestly, that Game 1 Split Up is why I don't like closed decklist games. They ONLY benefit the "Ha! Gottem!" crowd and make game 1s miserable at times. Open decklists do benefit the stronger player but that's really how it should be. The information about the game is out there and it's up to the players to put it together the most effectively.
@@cooljoe500 Any further elaboration? Because it's only the players on a deck that win game 1 with a surprise factor and then go on to lose games 2 and 3 that benefit from closed decklists. Which isn't fun to play against at all. Meanwhile if you're on a meta deck a good opponent will know what you're on 90% of the time when you drop your first land and it was only both player's mulligan decisions that were impacted but those decisions can BE the entirety of the deciding point of game 1

Im sad that its modern tbh.. would be nice to have a giant open standard here in Europe sometime this year but its not looking good :/
