You definitely need an entire week to truly appreciate Puerto Vallarta. We're lucky to live just 2.5 hours by plane from our home in California. 😊

PV is one of our favorite places. It’s gotten so busy there in recent years, without infrastructure.

I totally get the photo and tequila hustle. Sure, folks are trying to make a buck from tourists. But it seems like you had a lot of fun and have great stories to tell! The AI pics are hilarious!🤭👍

We did a zip line there years ago and yes they didn’t want you to take pictures of videos while you did things but was able to get videos of each other.

I was in Puerto Vallarta last year on a RCL cruise. I went on their zip line excursion, omg it was sooooo fun! I highly recommend it if you like doing that.

Puerto vallarta is one of our favorite destinations to visit. Glad you had a fabulous time!
Yes, there are definitely crocodiles between the river and the marina area. We have seen 3.

Great video, Morgan. Yes, unfortunately some of these places do to sell you their package of photos and you are correct, most likely you wouldn't been able to tell if it was you or Markus. It would have been a lot better if they had told you: Ok, you can take your own cameras for a $50 charge.
The after tour lunch of nachos, guacamole & margaritas looked so delish ... I wanted to jump into the screen to join you. Thanks

I've done ATV tours a few times. Once in Mexico and it was Pouring that day. We still wend and had a blast even though we were about as wet as humanly possible. Our tour included a visit to and under ground river that we could take a dip in. The other time was in Iceland. That was a midnight ATV tour and although it was FREEZING, We were on normal roads going super fast or in the wilderness. On the Iceland tour, we even had to use the 4WD so yes it was rough paths we were on.

Excursions can come up with a compromise where you pay a Filming fee; what I mean is you pay a flat fee to be able to film your own experience? That way they still get something of a financial gain and you can use your footage how you see fit.

You should definitely check out the Million Dollar Highway in Colorado. One of the most breathtaking scenic drives, but also one of those where you really need to watch where you're driving. And nobody will stop you from filming it!

One thing what you forgot IMHO to mention is drinking and driving. On such a tour, especially in a foreign country, I would totally avoid alcohol. Not just the incresed chance of having an accident. But also the possibility of being stopped and checked by the local police while probably not knowing the specific local traffic laws. Or insurances refusing to pay because pf driving under influence. I would just want to avoid any problems and this would also include avoiding a free tequila tasting even if it just sums up to one shot.

Michi, that is SUCH a good point! I didn't even think of that. I feel stupid now, but I'm glad you mentioned it.

Sometimes a cruise excursion still has issues! In 2017 we did a southern Caribbean cruise on Celebrity. One ship excursion in Curaçao was "mini jeeps." I grew up in an off roading family, with Jeeps. The commercial in the TV didn't show them, the excursions staff didn't know anything. We got there and found out they were side by sides. Great, we could share. Like your tour, it started in the town and we had to get out of town. The machines were not in good shape. The one in front of us backfired all the time. The brakes on ours were soft. Another one totally broke down. The tour was fun. Then they took us to a beach resort and said we'll see you in 3 hours. No one knew anything about this! It had said a brief swim at a remote beach, i think. We had no lunch, no money to buy lunch, some needed medicines. We enjoyed it but it was not what we were expectorant at all. I do believe Celebrity refunded some of the cost.

Puerto Vallarta is a very popular destination for Canadians wanting to escape winter. It’s quite safe, has great restaurants, as you found, and is much more authentic than places like Cancún or Los Cabos.

Don't worry Morgan I don't even have an elevator to go down, The ground is just going to open up beneath me and it's a drop slide with twists and turns. I've been promised it will end in a ball room and I'll have a personalized Chair waiting for me. lol

I wanted to know what kind of spider that was and whether it was poisonous. I googled “Puerto Vallarta spiders” (a bad idea…) and was shown way too many spiders in that area. I didn’t stick around to find that exact one in your video. The results were too horrifying. Now I’ll never know…

his "no photo policy" sounds like "we want you to pay for the photos we took of you." Come on don't make it so obvious when your photographer comes around showing you the photos he took of you along the way.
