Holding Pokéball is always correct there imo because you increase the chances of drawing a basic naturally. Decreases the chances of drawing professors research tho. I like not ripping Pokéball right away every time

One thing that you can do with Hitmonlee is holding it on to your hand for a surprise snipe Incase the enemy retreats
