Hello everyone, I’ve been running my channel for 3+ years and I’m still looking forward to reach 4k hours of watch time (while I avoid these mistakes, of course). My message to all small channels like me is to keep going, never give up, and you’ll eventually get there!
As a new channel trying to figure out all of the in's and out's of UA-cam, I can say that one day things work and the next things change, but, keeping genuine to your initial plan has to help and work in the long run. One month in with a little over 110 followers, its slow but worth it and am enjoying the process and learning as I go.
i think everything you're saying is valid and i agree. but one weird thing i see in my niche (ambience videos) is channels making the same video over and over, with graphics (and thumbnail) that are almost exactly the same, with the same sounds (fireplace or rain). and these "clone"videos get hundreds and thousand of views, real quick too!! while i'm trying to make unique videos with different visuals and sounds throughout, and i can barely pass 100 views.
Patience is so difficult. I started a second UA-cam channel after having over 100k on my first. I thought things would pick up faster on the new channel (which is a totally different niche!) So far the results have been discouraging. I can see why so many people give up. I'll definitely give it at least a year but yeahhh staying patient is so tough haha!
Yes being sometimes is not easy especially if it takes more than a year. I spend so much time, watching other creators videos, liking and commenting but hardly get any comments on my videos. I try so hard with creators for support. Probably I will to change the niche 😊

I’ve been on here for 12 months, just reached 4000 hours, but struggling to keep viewers watching, and only average about 200 views per video, which is odd based on my 1600 subscribers… I’ll keep trying and keep creating content! 😌

The tip regarding engagement with the community is one that everyone could benefit from instantly. Even engaging with other channels communities that create similar content can help bring more people to your channel.
I'm always a little suspicious of channels with few videos and massive followers. I'm afraid it's gonna be the same way here soon like it is on Instagram now, that many content creators just buy themselves into relevants. Growing organically as a small channel is a big challenge.
With my own point of view I feel youtube growth is not just for a day. You see some persons with more subscribers but few views while others with little number of subscribers but large views. It's funny right? Started my youtube channel two weeks ago and I just increased in views and engagements. So it's a gradual thing that requires consistency. God bless us all
💙I am 1 year into my youtube adventure, and 626 subscribers to my belt. I had already arrived at the conclusion that I had to up my game, and a week ago invested in a brand new computer to edit with. As I had reached the limits of my phone editing. I am planning weekly content with my motorbike orientated channel, with a weekly test ride and a second video with what I have been up to motor bike wize. I hope I can gather some more pace and reach the 1000 subs goal by the summer of 2025... good luck to every one on your own adventures. ❤

Just subscribed to Your channel. Like I mentioned under one of Your other videos it is really hard to pick the best advices as there are so many YT "guru's". I struggle to grow my channel and there was a moment when subs and views started to go up, but now suddenly YT stopped pushing my content and I don't know why. It is starting to be very demotivating.
Anxiety is a habit... It is sad but this is the truth. If you want to break this bad habit you have to replace it with better ones. It is as simple as that. Now I am not saying that life is easy, quite the opposite. But if you can build for yourself habits that defeat anxiety that is how you can get over it. Thank you for your insights.
