I recently came across a UA-cam video where a group of men attempted to satirize Human Resources as a department. Unfortunately, their efforts fell short and the result was a train wreck of a video.
The premise of the video was that the men were playing HR representatives, but their attempts at humor were completely off the mark. Instead of being funny, the jokes were just offensive and insensitive, making light of important issues such as workplace harassment and discrimination.
The delivery of the jokes was also extremely forced, and it was clear that the performers lacked any real comedic talent. They were trying too hard to be funny, but the result was just cringeworthy.
It was also concerning to see the lack of understanding these men had about the important role that HR plays in creating a safe and respectful workplace. Their complete disregard for the impact their video could have on HR professionals and employees was extremely disappointing.I would not recommend this video to anyone, as it fails on all fronts. The lack of humor and understanding, combined with the offensive material, make it a video best left unseen.
