I am from Louisiana small town Ville Platte and this is what we listened to. My grandparents could only speak cajun french wish I would have soaked it up more. This is like being in Big Mamou.
ALLO, Greetings from Texas. I love this type of music. And, anything Cajun. In fact I met a girl here near Ft. Worth, Texas and guess what? Yes sir, she's Cajun. And we married for real. If I only understood Cajun French....
I'm so happy for these videos discovering my hertiage here in Nebraska where my family because of negative reaction by locals back when they came here in the 50s left behind so much of our culture but they did carry on cooking gumbo red beans etc THANK GOODNESS love this music so much .Don't Tell the best musician aren't cajun
Beautiful music, great fun in any language. That is the music style I remember around our house in Ontario. Pa played the fiddle, aunt played the harp. Can't remember. Squared danced and did the 2 step. FUN
Fascinating! If you listen to the words & the tune , this could be the French or Cajun version of "What's the Matter with the Mill". Check out Erika singing withTuba Skinny and see if you agree.
Got question for y'all......can you tell me when the party over.........when you run out food and beer.......loving it all lots great friends down there in lafitte!
