Spent half a year in bayou country as a relief worker after Rita blew the town of Cameron away, and I came to love the cajun folks, their warmth, their food, and of course, their music...seldom does one see musicians enjoying themselves as much as these ladies obviously are while playing...make you want to jump out of your chair and dance a jig...thanks for posting...
Being from Miss. and Louisiana I Grew up with the great sounds and beats "known" as Cajun!!! You cannot sit still with this music.

Thomas Gilman i love this music, im a french man living in UK, BEAUSOLEIL was the first i found and i never looked back , this music pulls you out of any depression and i find the history of cajun music fascinating

Nous revenons de 8 jours de vacances en Louisiane, c'est fantastique, les cajuns sont super sympa, dès qu'ils voient un français ils viennent discuter, la musique est excellente, il faut y aller pour les soutenir dans la préservation de la culture cajun

2nd Track. Don't know if these girls have been to Alberta, but I heard 'em in Louisiana at Balfa Camp in various combinations a few times. This vid brings back some great memories. Anya is not only a great fiddler but a talented luthier. Christine is golden. Their drummer must be in heaven.
Georgeous Cajun Music and song!! Listening to these two songs both of which I love, I can just imagine them sung in Cajun French, they would be stunning with exactly the same instrumental backing from Christine, Anya, Kristi. Evette and that super drummer!!
Well thanks, it’s good to know their names. They are so talented and just a joy to watch and especially to hear. My wife and I used to make it down to Cajun country every few years. I wish we could go again. Thank goodness for UA-cam.

+navretvet I agree with you on all that talent on stage...what kids nowadays are led to believe what talent is such a tragic tale... I remember going to see bands like Jehtro Tull. Led Zeppelin .Blue Oyster Cult and the Outlaws..and it was very rare to see someone on stage not playing and instrument...and now with rap and such no-one plays an instrument...they even have to use auto-tune..lol! wow.. auto-tune..

That's Sam Murray ! He was the top drummer with various bands in the short lived Cajun Dance Boom in the UK .....and Ireland in the 90's.Great to see him still "drivin' the dancin".....not that these women really need any help in this department. "Gwaaaaaaan yis good things..!"
