Punk Rock sure has declined when people are moaning that someone didn’t sing the “right way”. Clearly the lessons of punk are lost on some of you; back then nobody EVER gave a fuck whether you forgot the words or "murdered a classic". This was never meant to be a form of ersatz classic rock.

You mustn’t have seen The Damned live then. Vanian always forgot lyrics and at later gigs brought out lyric sheets. Too much excess in his youth maybe.
Actually, these are the songs that killed the Buzzcocks. Their post first 2 LP releases like this were slow and...well, lame. In that sense the Buzzcocks died years ago right after their first 2 LPs and not when Shelley kicked the bucket. And a lesson from Shelley: When you're over 60 don't get fat fast. It'll pop your heart.
